You need to write down your miles and to and from, the gps will tell you 5.2 miles for example and you add that up plus your you add up your earnings and you can deduct that from your taxes!
What I would do is take 17% out of the earnings so 150$ so that would be 25.5$ in tax and at the time I would calculate my miles (except) to and from work which is to the first trip and home so say you go 100 miles and the tax break is about .60 cents so you would write off 60 dollars and the IRS in this example would owe you but this never happens in the real world unless you like to beat up your vehicle so you would probably drive closer to 35 miles in the inner city and then you print out your (quarterly paper work) and send in an estimate of fed and state plus you could send 1% local otherwise the IRS could penalize you for every 3 months late.
