My Honda PCX150 Belt snapped while riding

Never buy cheap Chinese stuff. Sure it might save you some money up front, but eventually you will pay for it down the road. Lesson learned.

I had a belt snap on a Tmax. It was a factory belt but it was dry rotted. Did exactly the same thing. The nice thing about belts is that don't wrap like chains can.

At least happened somewhat close to home. Genuine Honda part for sure. The Chinese oring chains aren't same quality as name brand from Japan either.

I was expecting this belt to not last as long as the OEM, but this was ridiculous. Not even 500 miles on the belt. And usually you can feel it slipping if it gets worn.

Never buy a cheap belt,off eBay or anywhere,buy genuine Honda only.I bought a cheap belt,£50 of eBay my mechanic said don't go over 10,000 miles on it,I forgot,and at 10,500 miles,the belt snapped,wrapped itself around the rear wheel locked the wheel dead stop instantly,luckily I was near the hard shoulder,and me and Honda fjs600 silverwing fell onto the hard shoulder,ars ,very generously,stopped around me,protecting me from,and warning,other traffic,I was there,no damage to me or bike,except,shredded belt,next time I bought a Genuine Honda drive belt,from Honda,only less than £80,Fowlers of Bristol,awesome Honda dealer,fitted ityself,no problems since, Warning,Always use Honda Genuine parts drive belt,there is a difference,glad you are ok,Dont risk it again,be careful out(and in) there

Agreed, i just ordered a honda belt. THis belt only lasted 500-1000 miles. Terrible.
