Bone marrow cells also directly affect other cells and release growth factors that promote blood vessel formation, causing increased temperature and a sensation of warmth.
However, it's important to be vigilant for signs of infection. Watch out for:
- Redness
- Swelling
- Significant increased pain
- Fevers greater than 101.5°F
