HA! as a Scottish person myself, it's soo cool to see visitors not only embrace the weather but see the beauty in it. :)
I'm from Scotland and I can't believe how lucky you were with the weather. You should be glad you didn't visit in the winter when it can get quite rainy.
👆Haha, dry Scot's wit.
Lee Simpson haha yeah your right! They are lucky people
Visit govan pure eye opener 🏴
Colin Neale I’m from Maryhill and I’d be sweating bullets walking through govan 😂
@@colinneale4182 especially that nice parade you have in govan whats it called again orange walk or summit 😄
Just got back from Scotland (14 nights)....such a magical place. Our weather was incredible - very little rain - autumn coolness in July. Mull and Skye were unbelievable!
That's amazing to hear!! Glad you had a magical couple of weeks in Scotland :)
I’m English but I love Scotland it’s rough and rugged yet it’s peaceful and tranquil all at the same time. 👍👍👍👍👍
Only the Scottish weather, sea and land can forge such a hard, sharp yet warmly welcoming folk. Said as an Englishmen with a tip of the hat.
Agreed!
It's because it's so miserable up here, that if we let it get to us, we'd all fucking kill ourselves. A sense of humour and comedic self-deprecation is the only way to deal with it.
I love you English people loving Scotland I'm blushing!
@@jak_the_buddha that's interesting but with no sunshine I can see that!!!
Tis true laddie!
Holy Mother of God, I can't believe you're in Scotland. I'm English but some of the happiest times of my life have been spent in Scotland, which is the most beautiful country in Europe. When we were kids we used to go up to Lewis and Harris (same island). Some of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been on are there. I've had many a happy play on Bosta beach on Lewis and Luskentyre on Harris. You're the wrong time of year but in the summer the water is turquoise and the sand is white and they are so quiet you can run naked and there's no-one to see you but the sheep. Not that I'd ever do such a thing of course.
This scenery is truly stunning and it's great to hear you have such fond memories of Scotland! Would be something to see the beaches in the sunshine next time 🤞
On the 8th day, GOD sat back, and thought why not, perhaps I should all the best bits and make something special, So he did, SCOTLAND :-)).
@@tomlucas4890 .he forgot to give them scottish passports.

Balamory! Balamory!
Whats the story in Balamory, wouldn't you like to know?
What's the story in Balamory, where would you like to go?
Will there be treats with Pocket and Sweet? Is that where we should go?

Misiu i Mui Mui haha I think they don’t know! 🤣
Scotland and especially the Highlands are beautiful you can really get a sense of escapism in the mountains and the weather makes you feel alive! 💧❄🌬
We couldn't agree more!
This is real Scottish weather! Once you’ve experienced it you begin to understand the people so much better. Ive walked miles through this kind of weather. The countryside reveals another side of its nature, and it’s beautiful! It’s amazing! I miss it so much!
I always enjoy, see visitors to my country, enjoying their experience. We're especially welcoming to our visitors and are a very, inclusive culture. I'm proud of that.
@Allington Marakan and if we like your trainers we'll steal them LO FUKIN L !
We often take for granted that which is on our own doorstep, so nice to see a visitor's perspective. Apologies for the weather, but you braved it out - - - well done.
After I left the military, I managed to get what was the best job in the world. Driving tourists around the highlands, mainly Americans and Canadians nearly all had some Scottish ancestry. I always felt that I had passed through a time warp whilst driving up the highland boundary fault line. After Glasgow and Edinburgh, the highlands just seemed to be so chilled and the itinerary never put pressure on you to put the foot down. The days seemed to be longer and you had more time to show our happy tourists some hidden gems that weren't on the schedule. I was being paid to tour my own country with the most pleasant people you could meet from across the pond. I am so glad you both had a great time and accepted whatever weather Mother Scotland threw at you. I have had a few passengers moan if it didn't rain lol
My wife is from Switzerland, she came here 3 times and loves it as many Swiss do, (Switzerland is my fav country as its beautiful and gets good warm weather) But we have had some great spring, summer, autumn weather alate, and am so proud to live here, M y wife says its the culture and music she loves so much, traditional and folk, with the historic battles with the English and all.
I also think most countries have something unique and beautiful. So Good health and ach aye ti yis awe.
This is quintessential Scottish weather so in that respect this is the “ideal” time to be there! It’s what made the Scots the rugged people who can withstand hardships of all kinds. And also why Scotch is the great whisky it is!
These two intrepid American adventurers get it!
Love the video. I’ve subscribed!
Thanks, David! Couldn't agree more. Welcome :)
I did this same tour with Rabbie's a couple years ago and it was definitely my favorite tour I've ever done. Scotland is so beautiful! Hope you enjoyed your trip!
It has been nearly two years since I was last in Scotland and I miss it. This video is about as authentic as it comes when you are talking weather in Scotland and particularly when you are in the west. Well done!
Thank you for being such gracious visitors embracing the climate like natives.Part of the magic is when eventually the sunshines the whole landscape changes.Your visit is typical of out summer holidays we spent playing cards in a caravan waiting for rain to stop so kids could go to the beach to collect shells and crabs..with their summer outfits of wellington boots and parkas
She has the most stunning smile and her enthusiasm is inspiring - lovely couple, thanks for enjoying my country !
At 2:24 the remains of cottages behind you in Glencoe are all that's left of the people evicted from the land in the 19th century. There were more people living in the Highlands in the 19th century, than do now. Nice, authentic video.Really good.
Scotland has everything unbelievable history and scenery and Edinburgh is my favourite city and I'm English.
Woah
Y’all did a great job with this video. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Thank you, Casey!
I enjoyed that. Nice video. As someone who lives and photographs across Scotland it looks like you got lucky with the weather. The good thing about the rain and wind is it keeps the midges at bay.
Scottish & proud 🏴🏴
Why ,shite being scottish

Absolutely loved this video, superb to see your enthusiasm & joy visiting Scotland, thank you for sharing this.
Thank you for the kind words!
Love your video, you make Scotland look fun in the rain! We just embrace it and it makes our landscape so lush. So pleased you got to see a highland cow too :)
Such a beautiful video, you made me want to go there next summer . Thank you
Fabulous and appreciative video from you good people....x
Happy Thanksgiving guys, hope you have a good one 👍👍👍👍👍👍looking forward to more content from Scotland
Thanks so much!! All the best to you and yours too 🤗🤗🤗
Some great views, walking, biking and driving. Did a cool ultra marathon in kintyre last may. Glencoe is lovely in good weather!
Hi! This is wonderful! Have a wonderful time. We'll be going to Gdańsk, Sopot, Malbork, and Sztum this late October. We wanted to go to Edinburgh and Inverness too... Maybe another time. Stay safe there and enjoy the wet north west of Scotland.
Aww I could watch you two for hours. I really enjoyed that. Well done guys!
Well done for your positivty in sticking the weather.
I like how you edit the videos, this was really interesting mix of shots. Please keep it coming!
Thanks Abhijit!
The stand out thing for me watching this video is that you embraced the weather and therefore still had a great time. Well done for that and good luck with the rest of your trips!
Thanks so much!!
What a lovely video thank you so much.
Nice video.Thanks.Those Yaks certainly are handsome beasts.
Some of my family came from the Isles of Mull and Ulva, I shall be making a trip up there next year, hopefully!
Was just there 2 weeks ago. The highlands, isle of Skye.. Inverness, Edinburgh and Glasgow. I will be back! Loved it!!!
The 3 sisters of Glencoe, nice recognition. I'm from Fort William and its nice to know that people take the opportunity to get the History.
Nice fishing up that way!
I couldn't stop laughing when you went to the beach and still tried to enjoy it lol, that's Scotland for ya, those beaches really are beautiful when the suns out though.
Love Callander. It is where I first told my partner I love him. Calgary beach is lovely too! I went to staffa island from mull.
Well done, a very nicely put-together piece. Also good to see you avoided Edinburgh and the tourist tat. Haste ye back.
There is so much to see in Scotland! I am a scot who has not even seen/travelled all of Scotland! So much to see which are not on the map! I am now a pensioner and I only travel to Rannoch each year as we have a timeshare there. We visit the nearby towns and villages, even take the odd train trip from Rannoch station to Fort William. We have been to most places in our country before it became famous, as there has been a glut in blogs of Scotland being aired on RUclips these days! Shame you never got the weather on this blog you shared with us, but at least you found some good meals! Haste ye back!
That was beautiful. You made my day. Love.
Just stumbled upon this video, and I must say you are a beautiful couple and I loved the video!
I'm from Bonnie Scotland and it's nice to see tourists appreciate the beauty of this old country.
All the best and cheers!
Thanks so much for the kind words, Michael! Our time in Scotland was so memorable and hopefully we'll be able to see more of the country one day :)
We’ve had many holidays in Scotland, enjoyed your vid. 👍
when I hear Scotland there's nothing else comes to my mind than Outlander!!!
Serinmary Pulikottil you should really change that. We are one of the most naturally beautiful nations in the world and have ancient towns and cities with buildings that go back 1000 years and ancient monuments and settlements which were made around 4000BC. Outlander is just a show and Iv never seen it even though I’m Scottish. I’m more of a game of thrones person. Which is all pretty much based on Scottish and English history. We have mountains of all shapes, thousands of lochs, Loch Ness has more water in it than all the lakes in England and Wales added up. We have ancient monuments, ancient forests, the only arctic plateau in the British isles, the highest mountains by far in the British isles, over 800 islands, some look like the Caribbean and some are like a miniature Iceland, we are one of the most naturally varied nations for our relatively small size. We have some of the richest histories in the world, produce the best whiskies, have oil in abundance, have clear seas and white beaches, a regal capital city with a 500 year old castle and the city centre of Edinburgh is entirely a world heritage site, the top accolade than can be handed to a city. We live on the edge of the Atlantic and have crazy weather and counter to belief you can get incredible sun here in Scotland. But due to us being on the Atlantic we get all the leftover tropical storms from the Gulf of Mexico, which makes Scotland considerably warmer than continental lands at the same latitude. We invented everything from the telephone to the TV and are a country that has stood for 1000 years. So if you love outlander, just search Scotland on wiki and have a read.! We are an amazing place. That often get overlooked.
@@donlockhart1626 I was fascinated by Scotland because of the show. I found the beauty of your country and the valor of your people from that show as I have never been to Scotland, Now it's top on my bucket list to visit scotland, may be even study in Edinburgh(I would really like to study there). I agree to each and every word you have just said, Scotland is indeed beautiful. Plus the show does capture Scotland's beauty
Come to Kinlochbervie, you can see a heap of Highland cows, sheep, mad locals, beautiful beaches and stunning sights!
Just stumbled across this video👍
Interesting to see Scotland from a different view😁 great video
And yes I’am Scottish 🏴
Thanks, Roderick!! Hope we can go back and see more of Scotland one day 🤞
you have given some wonderful facts and commentary on Scotland..... interesting
These two have a wonderful attitude about experiencing new things. They will go home with memories they will never forget and not spend a minute complaining. Be like them.
Yesss, I went to mull and climbed up Ben more and it was STUNNING. I also went to Tobermory, which was where the classic “balamory” British tv show was filmed. So beautiful and I only live down south of England, so we can visit slightly regularly. I want to live here in future.
It would be a beautiful corner of the world to call home!
May is the time to visit our country - nicest weather every year. Glad you had a good time.
Thanks for the tip! Will keep that in mind and hope we can make it to Scotland again soon!
Visit again in April and travel the road from Gairloch to Kylesku for the very best experience and good weather. It was all single track when I first drove it, in a VW type1 campervan. Indeed in 1959 the only double track road north of the Great Glen was the A9. It was real adventure.
Love this video. You two are fab!!
Lovely video. Glad you enjoyed your time here in Scotland. The weather is usually rubbish but we did have a really good summer this year.
Thank you! We had such a wonderful time. Next time we'll aim for May :)
After merciless California summer this weather makes me want to be there. Thankfully the winter is coming, that means 15-16°C days, passing rains, and green luscious hills. Kind of like Scotland.
15 degrees for winter sounds pretty great!!
Yes, winter here is my favorite hiking season. Occasionally drops below freezing at night, but days are nice, if you don't mind some rain.
so glad you enjoyed your visit
The Clachaig Inn is at the west end of the Aonach Eagach a fearsome mountain traverse. You only get the relief of reaching there if you have done the full job not arriving by Rabbies Trailburners minibus.
Hi! Just wanted to say I love both of your personalities, and I've subscribed. A lot of the travel channels I've come across, they know how to film beautifully, but once they start talking I just switch off. But you guys know how to do both, and I found myself smiling all through the video. Keep up the great work!
Aw thanks so much for the kind words and welcome to our channel!!
Only been up to Scotland a couple of times, but your videos make me want to go back and take more time up there. 👍
Thanks & Thumbs up for a fantastic vlog of my homeland. I've had the pleasure of twice visiting STJ, Newfoundland. thanks for reinforcing my view of Canadians as Lovely Lovely People!!
Thanks so much for the kind words!!
Calgary is stunning. I'm still hoping one day to stay on Mull and get to Fingals cave!
Highland cows ....the babies are too cute ...thank you for visiting Scotland
Fascinating to see my home country through the eyes of visitors. Glad you enjoyed yourselves guys.
I really loved your enthusiasm, even though the weather was totally rotten for you. That's the beauty of our country, you get all the seasons in one day. Great video 👍🏼
Thanks, John! Scotland made quite the impression on us
Apologies for the weather but glad you enjoyed your visit.
as someone who used to live in tobermory, thanks for making this lol
Great video! Totally entertaining too.
Scottish countryside looks incredible! I'm also incredibly intrigued by that Scottish cuisine

So envious of your trip in this video. My family came from a small island just south of the Isle of Mull called Colonsay before emigrating to Canada. Most of my family settled along the Bruce Peninsula including Tobermory in Ontario! :) I make a promise to myself that I will go there one day.
There are tons of places in Canada named after locations in Scotland, Aberdeen and Banff come to mind as well
Iona is nice, i also went to an island near there called Staffa, it was very cool and unique. Felt like in the middle of nowhere too.
We're headed there next! :)
Talking about filming locations, "I Know Where I'm Going" is one of the most magical films you're ever likely to see and it's set almost entirely on Mull, with most exteriors shot there. Such a great movie.
Thanks for the recommendation! I've added it to our list of movies to watch :)
i was there for 2 weeks this past summer..i miss it already...i must go back....the place is epic..
We couldn't agree more!
Lovely! So glad you got to see the cows. ☺️ My uncle used to raise those cows in West Virginia and I always loved visiting and seeing them. They’re really beautiful. He had a bull named Ben that I thought was especially fantastic. But Ben kept getting out and causing trouble so at one point when we came to visit, I asked my uncle where Ben was and he said, “The freezer.” 😳😭😆
Awww poor Ben! 🙈😆
Erin's Travels ...............similar story, my Uncle said “On your plate”😢
Scottish weather :-) ay yay yay. I like watching you!
I'm glad you got to experience the lovely 'soft weather' we have in Scotland!
We've had it for Millennia, so it's only fair we share it with visitors! 🤣
Great video. Thank you
All the seasons in one day or hour!
Nice to see you had some of our famous liquid sunshine weather
It certainly made the trip memorable :P
I feel so sad to leave & go home after everytime we've visited and spent time with our wee Scottish family, it's such an awful feeling. So whenever we plan our next trip up there, we always say we're going home 💙 I commented on another video saying how we live in the peak district of England and how its stunning, but Scotland is something else, the most breathtaking, beautiful peaceful yet dramatic place I have ever seen! Cany wait till july 30th when we're travelling through those magnificent mountains on our way "home" 🏴
OH! I was in Glasgow and Edinburgh last weekend, we MIGHT'VE missed each other. Dammit. :D
Happy Thanksgiving to you both! My fiancé and I absolutely love your videos. You should check out Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia sometime...i think you guys would absolutely love it. July to October is best time to travel to Cape Breton Island....check out the Cabot Trail ;-). Enjoy Scotland .
Thanks so much, Johnnie! All the best to you and your fiance this Thanksgiving :) And the Cabot Trail is definitely on our list of road trips we hope to do one day 🤞
A heilan coo is a true great sight

Just because it's pronounced differently doesn't mean that it's spelled differently...

You should climb that hill/mountain at Edinburgh. Luckily whenever i have been to Edinburgh its been dry. Glasgow is a nice place too. Nice people there.

That's awesome! Hope you have a wonderful time exploring Scotland :)
Correct spelling is Callander - apolgies for pedantry !!!
Some footage from the 1959 version of "The 39 Steps" was shot in the general area, around Loch Achray, likewise Dunblane.
Come back in the summer, it's the best day of the year! I think it's on a Tuesday this year.

Just. Wow.
The 3 peaks of Glencoe , known as the 3 sisters as well. Mary Queen of Scots was filmed there. Brilliant video , you know more about Scotland than I do. You should be a tour guide. :)
Calgary beach is superb in the summer
I know this video is over a year old now, however, the hill on the opposite side of the road from the clachaig inn at glencoe is where they filmed most of the hagrids hut scenes in the later Harry Potter films. The hut was there for over a year.

I live in the lowlands but we go to the highlands almost every holiday I love living in Scotland yes it rains a lot but honestly it is the most beautiful country’s

Awesome video & thank you again for letting us watch ur adventure because they truly inspire us to want to see places we hadnt thought of!! Scotland is on the 'bucket list' now.
