You have 4 children, save a dollars still a great help , teaching your children how to learn responsibility is awesome, frugal like their parent , I’m admire everything you both did , great parent and I’m enjoying to watch your channel with the kids involved, ❤
You are all the best.
Great video!
Sunday morning, hot cup of coffee, and a new video from A Boulder Life Off Grid - Priceless!
Sunday afternoon and a cold beer, the rest is the same. Watching from Europe.
Bravo!!
Monday morning here in Townsville Australia, I agree it’s such a calming paced vid, life as it goes setting up the property, one day at a time. Just a thought from my experience, those nickel plated screws don’t seem to last outdoors, they rust just a bit slower than the shiny screws. They rust and that eats into that preprinted tin. Try to paint the heads or better still replace with galvanized teks screws at some time. Attaching the washers is tedious, thankfully the kids love to help you, it’s great. Thanks for sharing your days with us.
Ah one of my favourite calm channels ! No pushing electric vehicles NO mad editing ! Nice calms kids ..and just a great watch every week …,Thankyou ..please don’t ever change things ..
Natalie's idea of using the hot glue gun to attach the screens to the vents was great. Using silicone on all of the joints will keep all of the critters out of the shed. It will be so nice to vacate your rental unit and move everything to the shed to save money. It is fun to see your kids involved in the shed project. Blessings to all of you.
Keeping the little fingers busy. Going the extra mile on the seams stronger is time well spent
I'd rather build a wooden shed for myself, but I can see the appeal of kits.
So glad it's put up and safe for all your storage items. It's so nice to see your children helping with things for the family. See you all next visit.
Dear Bolder life off grid family.
I once owned 2 similar sheds. Therefore I highly recommend that you insulate but at least cover the metal roof from the outside. Otherwise a lot of condensation water will drip on your belongings! This caused a lot of rust and unhealthy mold on my stored items.
Best regards, luck and especially health to all of you.
Isn't it so cool to see the aerial shot that shows all the buildings and improvements to your property? Not long ago, there was only dirt, rocks and trees. Now, it's looking like a little metropolis!
Good morning how are you folks doing today hope everything is looking good and I like what you did to the driveway driveway looks really good now you got to start on the house now so have a great day and have fun and enjoy life❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m sure you’re very proud of your kids and with good reason. You’re raising them right! Love the shed too. Thanks for another great segment and looking forward to following the house build. Take care and stay safe!!
The new shed looks great and hooray for one less bill now! I always look forward to Sundays when I know that I’ll get to see you all again. Another great video!
Just love watching you and your family! You never do anything halfway, All your projects\ building are awesome!
Your little one is such a great helper. The shed looks good. Great savings.
Love the shed and the way you involve your children in the. Build❤️❤️❤️
Good job. I like that it's sitting behind the solar panels. They probably also act as wind breakers for it.
Every week I look forward to watching another video from you beautiful people. Thank you so much for sharing your journey. Nice to see the progress you are making. Keep up the good work!
Congrats on your sponsorship, Ready for prime time
Hi y'all, I agree on the shed. because if it free it for meeeee. Y'ALL have a great and safe day .
Love the restrained look of excitement on Nat' 😂
As low as the roof is you need to build a knee wall about a foot or so high around the perimeter of the platform to raise the shed and give you some head room! Nice Job!
Nice idea but the door will need extending to cover the gap at the bottom. The low knee wall at the bottom of the door would be a perfect pain if left there. Also you if that bottom rail was cut it would alter the planned integrity of that structure and would need a good work around. It would be worth doing though.
It looks great and why not go the extra mile you want it to be completely secure and now it is x
What a relaxing morning to watch my favorite video! Nice Job!
Another amazing job one step closer to the house. I love the progress that you guys are making and there is good to see my favorite project manager helping with the plastic. Blessings to your amazing family.
Best construction I've seen on those sheds. Very impressive.
In the southwestern desert it’s also necessary to make a storage area mouse proof. Nothing so disappointing than to take stock of your treasure only to find the mice have been peeing on it for several years.
thanks to boulder life i will look really hard at buying a patiowell shed
Nice to lose that monthly expense and get all your ‘stuff’ onto the property. Great looking shed. You assembled it well and did your sponsor proud! GO ELI! 😍🇨🇦
Your shed looks great went together well with all your helpers , I'm certain spring is coming regards to you all from Calgary Canada.
It is nice that the children have "skin" in your build of this off grid life. Life experiences will last them a lifetime. Great job on your parenting.
You guy's build a beautiful shed. 😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Beautiful shed, everything fit in there perfectly. Great family teamwork as always!!
Thank you Patio Well!!
👍👍 for closing out the storage unit!!
Thanks for taking us along.
The youngest boy is trouper.
I was so happy to learn something about storage buildings. I need one. I am having a hard time downsizing my excess "stuff".
This is going to be such a huge help for you and very convenient to have it on your property! Just an Fyi… somehow your channel unsubscribed us. Not sure why. This is my husband’s favorite show. He looks forward to every Sunday to see your progress. We now have resubscribed.
RUclips does that to people randomly, it seems. Maybe a glitch in the system. Glad we got ya hooked 😁.
I bet this project was fun compared to some of your other big projects. It looks nice!
12:21 Heating up the plastic sheet with a heat gun may have made it easier and quicker to peel off.
Nice easy shed build i wish i would of known about the Patowell sheds, the one i bought was a bear to put up the instructions were bad no numbered parts and it came on a pallet in one box was missing some of the screws and cables and anchors ( for high winds we have here during summer and fall ) had to call them back and have them send me what was missing and didn't receive the those items for 4 to 5 days.
I'm glad your video came out if i need to buy another one I'll get the Patowell thanks and enjoy your new shed. Larry
Nice little shed built very quickly! 🎉😊
Great.
Hi we love your series, purchased a Patiowell 8x6 Metal Shed Pro With Lean-to Roof today.
Hope you enjoy it. Thanks 🙂
nice job but you should have put a drip mold or tyvek tape on the out side edge of floor under the walls so water cant catch the small edge of the floor and run inside or possibly rot the floor thanks
Looks great and a project the whole family can help with 😊. Besides nice apron and gloves for gardening 😉. Now just need some steps.
Pro job as always. Nice work.
Its like a giant puzzle, so awesome you have this...great idea on the silicone.. i love the :that ain't going anywhere comment,,,good to see the family out helping and being part of..the plastic man is awesome!!! Love the heavy duty shed...great idea on the screen...and having old materials is the best!!!...the super is always involved with many projects keeping everyone one task...and even real hinges too!!! The roof can hold a jacob needs to be in the manual....so cool thanks for sharing
I LOVE the color!!! WOW Congrats!
Great job guys, and it really looks good !
Too short. Consider framing a small pony wall around the base then build the shed.
How nice for you ! I remember having a storage unit. Costly. Great looking shed. Another channel I watch, Simple Life Reclaimed, has 2 patiowell sheds.
Great job and loved the video 😘👍🏻💕🙏🏻🙏🏻
Nice build and looks good. Thanks for the video.
With room to spare. Nice job.
Good video and job!!!
Another nice one to watch and share
Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing
Are sure that you are not in Windy Chicago..
Those types of units, I've never seen any of them that are, let's say, 40+ years old in a person's back yard. Not intact, anyway. And hey, that's all good, maybe 10-20 years is what you want out of it. Just not forever. Also, hot glue might have a lifespan of 2 years, plus or minus. In the future, consider epoxy.
Nice job on the shed! Can you do a video on how your wing arranged solar panels are working? Do you think you get more than if they were just in a row? Thanks.
The reason I think our setup is good is we catch more sun earlier in the morning and more sun later in the evening. It actually catches a little less sun than if all our panels were facing south. But the problem with South facing panels is that you get most of your power in the middle of the day. In the middle of the day, we are running fewer things, the batteries are topped off, and all that extra power goes nowhere. The peak in power that you would get with south facing is spread out a little more with our setup. So the main takeaway here is we could get slightly more power coming in with south facing but not actually keep it all or, as our setup is now, we start charging our batteries a little earlier and that continues on a little further into the later part of the day. In reality, the difference is small, but this is the way to go for us. Thanks 🙂
Great explanation makes sense for you guys, thanks@@aboulderlifeoffgrid
If I order one, will your trained and experienced crew install it for me? 😅 will see if it can handle the AZ wind. Found on my recent visit that my No Trespassing signs were gone.
Your Ads are buffering I have to go completely out then back in to fix
Sorry about that. I don't think it's anything on our end. Thanks
Er.. did you forget to flash the floor under the bottom edge? Can you ease a section at a time and slide a flashing under?
For now, I'm going to leave it as it is. It is sealed. I'll do some metal flashing in the future. Thanks 🙂
I'm not sure if that's just dust or if the rock crusher can atomize the rocks liek a saw can or not. I'd be worried about silicosis. Not a good way to die.
👍
👍👍👍👍👍
👍👍
Is that going to hold up the heavy snow that you guys get in your winters
It'll do just fine. Thanks 🙂
I've seen other youtubers do 2x4 framing to stengthen it. Search metal shed roof support and you'll find examples. It's also nice to have wood to add hooks etc to hand stuff from.
👍🏼
❤😊❤😊❤😊
Do u have am Amazon wish list!
We don't 😅
Why do y'all have so many solar panels does it take that many to run a household it's just my husband and I am we thought about going solar but that's a lot of panels to me I don't know if it's worth it
6 people, a workshop, large trailer and soon a full size house! Best to build it right for future needs.
We run everything on electric. Nothing runs on propane or gas, which is how we planned it. Thanks 🙂
that should last a couple of weeks
Guess you'll have to hang around and see.
