You guys have no idea how much I look forward to your videos every Sunday. It is such a pleasure to see your family working together to achieve your goals. Your kids are so amazing. They are an inspiration so much raw talent, great spirits and positive work ethic. You already have junior contractors, and I look continue to say it. Amazing parents create amazing kids. Such a blessing to watch your family’s journey. Thank you for sharing it with us, blessings to your family🙏🏾🥰
One day your son will thank you for what you are doing right now.😂👍👍❤⛪
Please tell the kids they are doing a great job on the forts! When your daughter said ‘we’re working hard on it’ she sounded EXACTLY like Natalie!😍🇨🇦
I truly like getting your children involved with what you are doing. That was something done a hundred years ago. Uncle, brothers and cousins ltaught their children how to be men. Looking good. Keep up good work.
This channel shows the very best family values. Teaching by good examples while affirming with lots of love. Fantastic job Natalie and Jacob!!😊💗🇨🇦
Watching little man all geared up running sawzall was awesome the look on his face was priceless ❤❤❤
God Bless your family Dad, you are doing an outstanding job.👍👍💚
22:52 I'm not surprised at all with your kids creativity. They have two parents who are creative themselves and let them experiment. Just like a childhood is ment to be!
Kind regards Christiaan
I really love how you are giving your kids such valuable opportunities. Even better, your patience and praise will keep them motivated. Wonderful!
I’m addicting to your video 😂, mill your own wood and using it for your own house , I always said there is a bright path to success,
Love to see the kids involved with their parents , I could tell they have a lot of respect and moral , please keeps those video for them , when they are full grown , before they leave the nest , I m sure they’ll have full of skills and tallent they learned from their parents , I can’t wait to see when you start framing the house , so exciting .
I could watch an entire video of the wood milling. I love that you literally harvested and produced your own wood. Your channel brings me such joy.
Hi Natalie & Jacob
If the world has a best parents vote In 2024...I vote for you two...
Keep videos coming .... thanks you
I love the way you give the children the chance to use different tools, they love it
So fun, more progress, and the kids right in there playing and helping. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe
Good morning, I love your channel y'all are busy busy building your beautiful home , I love how you let the kids help they will look back and see how you let them help .You have a sweet lady to help with everything can't always find a good lady to help. Have a blessed day
Like they say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree your son is only doing what he see dad and mom do . I like seeing what he’s doing. It’s pretty cool. Reminds me of when I was a boy always building something somewhere. Good for you guys.
Kudos J, N and kids. You are inspiring a 60 yo man to get off his butt while I still can LOL! Best wishes!
You must be so blessed to have that material and a Wood saw.I love the children doing their thing. Awesome Fantastic 🤩
you have got (bar-non) the cutest Sawmill employees I've ever seen. example: time frame 2:53
Ethan is a very smart boy, especially for his age.
So many steps to build this house. But I'm sure that they are all important or you wouldn't do them. You might have an engineer learning his first steps to a great occupation. Love the idea of children trying to do something they are liking to do. All in all, a good day on the homestead .
I think I see a sawmill cover in your future... maybe the kids could build THAT? - Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
Great work guys, I’m getting excited to see the building process and I know you guys are ready. Y’all have more patience than most. Hats off to the Boulder Family.
Great to see the children helping.
Noticed your Son wearing gloves when cutting the scrap wood up.
Please, you should never wear gloves when working with power tools, especially when using drills and saws. The blade will catch the glove and pull the hand into it. In the case of drills, the drill can catch the glove and pull the hand into it
Jacob, for my Ryobi chopsaw, I made a little material support block from scrap pieces of lumber that's the same height as the saw base, because when I was installing new baseboard trim on my new floating laminate planks, I found that trying to hold an 8ft stick of trim flat on the saw for a perfect 90deg vertical cut was exceedingly difficult, and outright impossible on a 12ft stick of trim.
For that same project, I needed a taller fence on the saw as well, because I was using 3 1/2in tall trim, and thanks to the relief milled out on the back of the trim it would tilt over the top of the existing rip fence. So, I took a piece of 3/16" x 4" flat aluminum bar, drilled out & countersunk a couple of holes for mounting screws, then tapped the aluminum fence on the saw to hold the taller piece. That modification gave me a taller AND longer rip fence for greater precision. Of course, the new piece has to stop on both sides of the blade channel, and the new fence on the right side where the motor casing is got a 45deg notch to allow the saw to fully tilt for compound cuts.
Good morning job little man awesome job helping you dad
Another great video love to see the kids outside being kids (and not on phones iPads all the time )
Loving my Sunday video by the A Boulder life, best on RUclips thanks from Calgary Canada
Love the head shaking yeah, yeah when your son cuts the 6x6. Another way to keep the bed of the mill stabalized is to put more fill in between the wood beams, just like a railroad bed, it helps to keep the beams from moving.
You certainly have a very industrious family working away on your homestead great to see, have a great time going forward.
Great job teaching your kids
❤great video. Your children are doing so well led by your example. Thank you for sharing🙏🙂

I'm 84 years old and all of our root cellars were dug under the house, now people are trying to wall them in just remember to make your walls at least 16 inches thick with rebar or the walls will buckle

Another great video, thanks
Awesome stacking the woodpile boys and justvkicking ass with dad
Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing
👍👍👍👍👍
Hi, pity about hitting that retainer. While watching my creative problem solving kicked; you could make a modified, lower profile stop along the style of the chainsaw grippers. Make them so they have a screw in claw at a lower level, to tension into the outer layer of the log. The log is gripped, not just resting there. If you want to get flash, think about a gripper on long threaded rod, styled like the spring compressors in the auto repair shops, only the retaining saw hooks replace the spring hook. I hope that’s making sense. If you want I can sketch the ideas and email to you, I will check your shop email.
👍👍
That blade on the ground is a kid and dog trap! Hope you put it somewhere else.
Do you plan on using the lumber supports as shelving wants the cement sets.
Yes, something like that. Thanks 🙂
You have an amazing family and you make amazing videos dude I just had one question, if I want to make my own 2x4s and I have my own logs i just cut how long to I have to leave the logs to dry it's been almost 3 months that they've been drying is it about a year I need?
If you know what lumber you need, then you should mill it asap. The smaller the lumber you mill, the sooner it will dry. Now, as far as dry time, it depends. Some people are ok with framing with green lumber. I think it's ok too as long as some sheeting or bracing gets put up so that the 2x4s don't twist on you while they continue to dry. If you want to dry first, I'd say 3 to 6 months seems good for 2x4s. Thanks 🙂
Legos on steroids
Just concerned...your children need ear protection
I was going to sub, but after seeing the way you did your slab footers, I'm glad I didnt. Good Luck in the future
No loos.
@@Patrick42567 that would be, no "loss" but Im glad we agree, its no loss
@@richardscarlett7942 Thx, I stand corrected. Glad to see you back so soon.
