This is very similar to the build I'm finishing now. I swapped in a Rush FPV VTX, Emax ECO motors and a Caddx Ratel camera. I can't wait to get it together.
I used this frame for a while when i first got the DJI HD system. There's a lot to like about this frame such as excellent protection for the camera and video antenna , plentty of room for components, light weight (for a freestle quad), good durabilty and excellent build quality ( especially for the price). However I don't use a gopro and eventually stopped using the frame as I found it to be too tail heavy without a gopro to balance it out.
How do you find the H style frame compaird to a True X frame. I find them harder to tune and i cant realy get the same locked en feeling like from a true x. Love my mark 2 but cant fit air unit in it.
Question : my question is if I were to use just race wire with no LEDs like the super micro ones are they any heavier than the wire that you would remove to use race wire after sold it up and everything is it about the same weight or is it slightly heavier? I am asking because I want to use race wire for easy motor swap outs. I have an untralight configuration and want to save as much weight as possible.
I haven't actually flown a quad, real or simulated as my laptop appears to be 160 times too slow to run one... might a toothpick be a viable option in building free-style ability, or are they harder to fly and easier to break, In your opinion?
Also those arms look long compared to let’s say the nice cool or is it just the top deck is thinner it’s just looks like you could put like 5 1/4 inch propellers on their
i was wondeing, i am currently looking for parts and getting familliar on what each part does. When i look for flight controllers there are two types AIO and normal ones. I am planning on using a ESC + FC stack but it doesnt tell me if i need to use PDB or not. The stack i am planning on useing is the iFlight SucceX-E Mini F4 FC Stack. I dont believe i need to use a pbd becuase it does have pads to connect an xt60 connect but i just want to make sure.

With Betaflight 4.2 and above and enabled voltage scaling you can run these 4S motors on 6S batteries too. Awesome frame by the way.

Couldn't you just move the battery on top forward a bit?

I recommend starting on something with prop guards /ducts. Otherwise, you'll be in for constant repairs. Get a tinyhawk 2/mobula 6 something.

You dont need PDB if you go with a 4in1 esc plus FC stack combo
