Can’t go wrong with wooden racking. As you said it can be changed as and when. Didn’t rack mine myself but have added and changed bits over time but luckily work for a decent boss who got a chippy in to do it and let me choose how I wanted it at the time. I have really useful boxes in mine which are brilliant. Might have to do a tour video of my own.
The draw is exactly what I've just done in my van, runners turned up last Wednesday so gonna get it done tomorrow hopefully when I'm back from work! Made it 800mm wide 1200mm deep, 227kg full extension draw slides! Maybe over kill but will hold 20 drums of cable, let's hope its strong enough! 🤣🤣
Van looking ok still after 3 years with a few tweaks, let’s see what’s it’s like in another 3 years. Will it be the same racking in the same van, or new racking in a new van.
Oddly as i'm watching this video, i'm soldering tails onto offcuts of LED strip (we use a LOT for undercabinet lighting) to link em together for exactly the undershelf purpose you showed. Can't see paying for LED strip when I have about 20m in 600mm or so lengths from ends of run... :) Citroen vans don't like you tapping into the interior light with LED,. apparently it confuses the bit that fades the light out so I'm going with a secondary battery (little 7AH Sealed lead acid) with a relay in parallel with the pathetic light that comes with the van, (and an override switch because the body control module or whatever it is applies random timings to the cargo area lights, it's infuriating)
How long do your cargo lights stay on for when you have your back doors open ? When mine are open on a job takes them 30 minutes to go out . So frustrating
Nick great vid as always. If I was you DO NOT SIGN WRITE your van whatever you do. My local firm as now took signage off 6 of their fleet as they're constantly being broke in to. You also being a popular RUclipsr the thrives will just see money when they see a Nick Bundy van.
Agreed, many insurance quotes wanted around £150 per year extra for sign written or even magnetic signs on a work vehicle, they said it make it higher risk.
The worst thing about my transit is the condensation on the ceiling during cold weather and having everything in the back soaked the next morning. No such problem with the transporter I stupidly sold having a roof liner😢
Have to admit your racking has aged well. I just spent 3k on BottSmart purely because it will last van to van to van, though my colleague same van model decided on ply which by the time it was lined and built was £500 in materials and a couple days lost labour which won't age as well but will just about do the next van.
The lighting is a must I've got a new Caddy but the light was out of a 90' polo just a single light bulb. I've put strip lighting on the roof and under the shelves on my racking like you have. The lights are cheap but I would recommend paying a bit more as I've got two lights gone already.
Can't have too many tools in the van. The day you need something is the day you haven't packed it.

This is well-organized and fully equipped.

Just re racked my latest van, got everything in there now, can’t be doing with looking for gear and tools under a mountain of shite.
Any useful vids or tips pal? Cheers.
Use some of that CT1 on the squeaky areas of the van racking or some blind grommets with the screw through it with a penny washer
"Adam come closer" lol
Mines been in for 9 years and it’s wooden, all empty because my vans a skip inside but still it’s lasted 😂😂😂

Do you really need all that gear for changing lightbulbs for ald grannies
short answer yes
How many electrians does it take to change a light bulb, 2 nick to hold it and Adam to turn nick

@Andy K this is nick, not artisan 🤣🤣🤣

never use selftappers on vans
How many miles have you clocked & how often do you service. Have you had any problems. I’ve nearly got 100k on the custom. I service every 9k miles

Whats your least used tool, you keep on the van?
My regs book
Nothing like showing potential thieves where everything is on your van !! 🤔
Nagy would get free racking and would only have to make a 1 video / year
Who’s nagy?

Self adhesive thermal insulation (basically silver bubblewrap) will fix that... been there/done that
I don't believe anyone takes everything out of the van vaults at night...

I got the bott stuff which is well worth it £1500 and simple to fit, bulkhead shelving is perfect
What a sexy van. I would actually happily drive that for personal use.
Dont like the transit model, but yours is really cool. I would copycat it if i get one. 😀
One word rivet, fixing, it's a winner, great content you are great
Packout is the watts go Nick
