Great to see Jordan there. Be kind people. All these uploads and tour of knowledge, are made possible because of the man behind the scenes. The ads are to keep the channel rolling. I'd do the same, I mean why not.
You may need to check that the LED strips actually go completely off. I learned a few years back When I worked for a company who made and designed the type of racking you are using. That the led strips would illuminate when the central locking was on as they received a back feed from the neutral. A non return diode sorts this issue out perfectly
Cory has got it down. Nice Led lighting install on the truck there. I love my sidecutters. I can't believe you don't have a pair. We also call them Lineman Pliers here in the States. Thanks for your shout out to Greta and your love decleration . Things will hopefully move forward for you both in the New Year. Jordan are we having a Christmas Party this year. Hope so. Great Sucess on your 100,000 subscribers.Onward and upward.
Be careful wiring lights and accessories to the vehicle loom. many vehicles interior lighting circuits are on the canbus network and controlled by the BCM / ECU computer, even If you swapout the bulb in the back of the van with an LED festoon / wedge bulb it will need to be CAN error free type which talk to the system. If you have a 12v outlet in the back use that instead
On the point about thieves taking equipment from vans. A van used to store tools, test kits, supplies, etc. should be at least up to the relevant Thatcham categories with physical deterrents like a tool vault fixed to the vehicle.
That 0.5 mm is probably okay for the LED lights with DC you have to worry about voltage drop and current draw probably nowhere near an issue. I do say if you're going to do this try to interface with the remaining connector that way you have reversibility it's always nice to have that undo button as somebody who lived through the decades where undo was sometimes only one reversal. I would love to get an auto electricians take on tapping off the interior lighting circuit with amppaucity etc. Probably nothing to worry about if the interior lighting is incandescent. With each lighting run being its own run you're not pushing all of that current on one cable in a cascaded fashion so the wire size shouldn't be any issue. In some newer vehicles that are a little bit smart and dumb about the lights and thay can have a minimum load requirement which if not met that can causes the LEDs to flicker or not go off or not dim properly.
Cory? I think you got away lightly fitting those lights. If your van has a canbus fitted, which most do, it can trigger failure light on dash..as it doesn't recognise the extra lights.. did on mine anyhows, I had to fit a relay to get past it. 😀
Great work on the LED’s, great video.. good to see Jordan out there. Jordon ask what he’s know as now, Always in the office. We would call him a ‘Mick Dundee’ always out back
Another great video guys, loving the new led strip lights. Be good to see what they're like when it's dark 👍🏼. Any chance of a link for the van racking? Keep up the great work.
Ours (South Africa) is also flat unless you want the foil shielded one which is round (we call that Surfix or Norsk). Used anywhere the cable is exposed and someone can damage it (e.g. surface mounted) as the foil earth is protection against electrocution. Can also be buried in the ground. I like to use it for lightning protection too. The foil (like shielded LAN cable) forms a Faraday cage and stops surges induced in the cable. Well it seems to work for me anyway.
Good work, may look at putting a couple of strips on the roof of my van! Can’t beat LED Strip. What’s the name of the storage unit you have fixed to the bulkhead you mentioned you’ve had for a while?
Love all the holders you have - for everything from WD40 to silicon - have you a link to them? Also - how many wristwatches does Cory have? Keep the good stuff coming! xxxx

You'll have dry joints dabbing the soldering iron like that, Jordan. 😣 Let the solder flow and the joint should be concaved when finished. 👍
Its always good to see Jordan, the van is looking clean. Its good to see the 2 of you working together again.

I mean, a LED is already a diode that can only be fed in one direction, innit.
When are we going have Corey's own channel, he's the star of the show
When he has enough of jordan and leaves

Coming Saturday 😁👍

It's not unusual to see tradies cars with toolboxes open and no one around here in Tasmania haha
Also why not just have a plain van with no advertising logos? I mean how many customers do electricians get based on they saw the van?
Why don’t you do a vid on van security, best practices
Great Idea!
@@artisanelectrics just don’t give away all your secrets to the baddies….
Nice to see you Jordan! I'm a side cutter generation too! Nice work with the LED stripe. Go the Tim Tams Cory. Save the environment.

Thanks so much!!

It great to see the boss man

I love Corey but was so good to see Jordan again.
Thanks 😊
Haha “ I’m not an auto electrician but I can connect wires” 😂 😆

Haha
@@artisanelectrics Jordan, don't let the haters get you down. You're still loved by us tried and true watchers.

Rob Beckett!! Yes!! It was bugging me who he reminded me of!
😂
My favorite thing was the Klein tape measure 25' I got one of those! The magnetic one
From the production of pringles 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Where can I buy the tool for soldering the cable and stripes? Seen at 11:13?
Great work on the LED’s, great video.. good to see Jordan out there.

You should have a battery charging station for your power tools
Nice vid van is looking really good now!
Thanks 👍
Lights look good. Also nice soundtrack
What are Croppers? Corey mentions it at the 10:30 mark. Can anyone please send a link?

Hi! Thanks for watching! We have a full van tour video to showcase the racking coming soon!
@@artisanelectrics Brilliant...thank you. I look forward to seeing it 👍🏼
Ha striped as neg common practice usually writing as positive there's also cabling with ridges which is then considered negative.
Any chance of seeing a photo of the van lit up at night
What storage bins are those? I’m needing something for my van in the next modification stage
Reuben is so useful !
Whats the name of that holder you put wire in before soldering?
You need to significantly upgrade van security mate. You'll get knocked-off...
Random question why is that you twin and earth cables is flat and not round. In Denmark they are round
Twin and earth is always flat! Flex is round

In USA we call it Romex or Non Metallic
Corey, Villa Maria is a wonderful drop.
Why do u guys lease your vans? Is it not more expensive in the long run?
Nice job Corey! Great to see Jordan again seems like his to busy with admin work these days to get in front of the camera.
Nice van setup!! lovin it
Thanks! 👍
Where do you store your T&E cable and flexes?
Black boxes in black interior.... I would add a lot of lights in there to make life easier
More Cory, less Jordan :)
😭😆
Great van set up and a good Idea with the Lights. Cory What make is your jacket Thank Jensen ⚡️👊
Bläklader
Perhaps a Desk Jockey, Jorden?
LOL thanks

Can anyone tell me where Corys trousers are from?
Great vid as usual, what kind of work trousers are you wearing? And where can I get then from?
Bläklader you can get them from TuffShop
Best place to get the profile from ?
Word to the wise... Medium roof van next time.

jammy red roo . yes lad 😁👍👍
I want a van now!
11:34 is that one of those "solder mates"?
Yep
Magnum or blue steel before it was competed 🤣🤣🤣
I must have OCD, I MUST have a clean work truck, about to go outside and clean up. Can't be a real electrician, I clean up
Anyone know what brand those work trousers are?
Bläklader you can get them from TuffShop
Cory reminds me of Kevin Pietersen.
Can’t beat a van mod !!!
Them lights are so bright he has to wear sunglasses
Random question, is the veto pro pac hanging on your door the TP3B?
TP4B
"Rob Beckett" :)
11:31 What kind of soldering parody is that?
Will the LED strip not put a drain on battery ?
Thats not how you solder a joint.
Villa Maria Private Bin, Sauvignon Blanc
Is "Croppers" a British name for something like a wire stripper?
now i see why your profit is not so good. using that sky high self storage place
Looks good m8.
Loos Wago's on to metal??I wouldnt do that!Give them a bit off isolation! You dont want to get a fire in your car!
Is that a TS soldering iron? 😱😱😱
what's the shelves setup
Is that Sortimo racking ?
Yes! Full racking video coming soon!
You will have to show it at night, I bet it is bright though.
Want to fit some decent deadlock to the van
Nice
tbh the soldering of the tape was kinda cringe to a electronics guy who solders 0603 daily.
Guys can we settle the debate, is it pronounced wago or wago
It’s clearly pronounced Wago, and not Wago
ive consulted the manufacturer and its definitely Wago!!!
😂😂😂
Go on boys, grow those beards!

You look like nowadays Hugh Grant if he was young
u good ELECTRICIAN TO
No one ever finishes doing the van.
Whats the purpose of the fuse board switch thingys on the van door ? Seen similar on several sparkies vans and curious as a none sparky myself......
It's just a handy spot to have a selection of different breakers you can see at a glance what you have. Plus it saves taking up space in drawer. B
