Must be time now for Adam to have his own van kited out 😂
Good layout, I would however suggest turning the top rack on the door the other way round so the trays slot down rather than push up.
I did this initially then one day I didn’t clip the tray in fully and when I went over a speed bump it went flying, fortunately as they are well made I didn’t end up with 10000 crimps all over the van.
Yes agree totally. Speed bump ! Picking things of the floor for hours
It's going to happen 😢
Was going to say the same.
Just the logos upside down is annoying me 😂
Really like the new layout in the Van Nick, a lot more flexible in terms of what you can carry.
I would love to be able to go fully Packout myself but as you said, it's the cost
Being a very early adopter of the Packout system (was on the first waiting list for the 3 piece set to drop) and parting ways with well over £3k on it in the process and still buying the stuff. I’m a huge fan of the drawers and the organisers, the packout plates, the XL box and a couple of of cases but you have to find what works for you, once you’ve done that it won’t let you down, solid kit, well built and functional, add to that the shadow foam in certain cases and it really can force you to stick to a better work flow! The best purchase I advise anyone to buy is the packout dolly, it’s so much better than the trolley and for bringing valuable tools in at night or moving items from the van to the job is perfect! 😊
Awesome setup ... looking to do the same in my little van 😍 love the fact you can unclip it all and remove it if you need the van space as well 🤔👍
You probably won't hear any rattling once you fill those drawers up. The weight helps and I've never heard it with the setup I have which is very similar to yours
Really like what you've done here! I've been having the same issue with the size of the packouts in my transit.. What are the size of the optimax screws you've used to screw the pack outs system to your bulkhead that don't go through the material on the other side? Cheers
20:59 you need to get the packout cabinets! Those are amazing for the top stack in your situation, and even where the bulkhead was
Your going to enjoy that I’m sure. Love my Packout. Wish I could mount it like you did but sadly drive a company van and they won’t allow me to mount those mounting plates so have to make due with it loose. And yea it ain’t cheap but once you got some of it it does seem to multiply weird that lol
big investment but will for sure save you some time being well organized. maybe put some foam/sponge stuck to the wall on the right side if you encounter rattling from the boxes, especially for long journeys
When I racked my sprinter, I put loads of strapping points / tie rings wherever I could and bought the decent auto retractable ratchet straps, was amazing for securing all different thing's over the years.
We racked out our vans with packout years ago and solely went for packout as you can mount them side by side with the front catch system.
Got even better when the draws came about although they won't take much load.
From experience better to mount the boxes upright or sideways on the walls if loading with any weight.
Mounting them on sled runners to create a pull out system works well.
Also so we could get draws out to take onto site we created an aluminium rack with some 3d printed mounts to keep each unit separate.
Price is the only killer with packout 😂
Great job.
The packout also can be used to make kits for labelers and all the tapes etc.
16:39 you need to flip those mounts up side down, all the weight is now resting on the single clip you use to connect/disconnect the stack.
Thanks Nick ,
I have copied some of your ideas from your first load out video with the stanley boxes.
I have exactly the same on the left , good idea for the right with the milwalkee
I think will try the bulk head version first see how I get on maybe try the big box as you said as that looked handy
Done my van in packout over a year ago, only have a small berlingo so its a gift when needing to put big stuff in, click everything out in 2 mins
Have had them stacked 3 drawers high and one crate, all full of sockets, switches mcbs etc at my back door with only the floor plate holding them together. Been over a year now and they've held up fine sofar, don't hear the rattling in the cab
It would be cool if the pack out system on the right side was on a roller pull out so you don’t have to climb in the truck to access your pack out drawers. They just pull out the back and can roll back in
I kitted my van out like this last year. Built a stud wall to mount stuff to and let the rear door hinge things go behind it. I’d show you if I could. Everyone says it’s awesome. Can’t beat the Packout gear
For the rattling I’d use some sort of fabric strap or ratchet strap round them which can be easily undone
Not sure if your aware or if any one else has mentioned but you get pack out racks where you can mount boxes/crates etc. On walls like you have with the packout drawers and think Milwaukee makes them but you can get non Milwaukee as well and stealth mounts packout feet might be good for your fatmax boxes
It's probably a bit late, but you can remove the metal bars from the corners of the packout
If you get some rattling from the side cases you could fabricate some steel brackets to fasten on the backs to the side of the van
I use pack out in my Navara. However, don’t you wish that there was a way to lock the boxes together and to the mounting plate? Like a lockable cover for the catch mechanism? I use a massive chain and padlock throughout, then its a pain in the arse when you want one of the boxes on the job.
Looks good Nic. You’ll be doing Adams van next. By way think you should put out a short or link to the first day Adam worked with you. I remember watching it at the time. Be good reminder and maybe a boost to your channel
For your rear door, drop the retainer and make a diy strap from an old seatbelt.
There’s a button on the rear door arm where it latches forward matey! Don’t take it off just clip it forward
I am a electrician that owns my own business in Arizona. I love my packout system. I have a trailer I pull behind my f150 that I fitted out. So far I am 15000 in. It is an addiction for sure. I love the black pack outs. All we have here is the red boxes
Great Content on Redesigning your van Nick with the Milwaukee pack out stuff , really like the design + you can unclip it and take out the van . Adam’s Milwaukee packout something like to buy Eventually ⚡️👊
Main issue I find is you will probably never be able to get in the draws on the floor of there is stuff on the floor. I am a big packout lover, but it does take up alot of room in the van
Brake cleaner and oil. Blast brake cleaner in the hinge then oil it. Also open it right up several times 👍🏻
So what do you think after using it for a month? Also, I love the black packouts. You can't get those in the US. I'm very jealous.
Modular van racking is the way, everything in everything out, I'm looking to do the same so I have MTB space on the weekends 👌🏻
Gotta love the Cannock chase
Not sure if anyone else has already said, but you can fit a gas strut to replace that door arm it also helps with the stiff door issue.
I’d love to see how this is done. Those check straps are a pain!
You need the Packout first aid kit to finish it off!👌🏼😉 also great deals to be had from PowerToolMate! Welcome to the addiction!🤣🤣🤣
Def add some foam behind the packouts to both reduce the rattle and deaden the sound.
Get a good plastic rubble bag in gap behind, put expanding foam in it, once set nice moulded pad ;)
59 pound for a packout crate . its 98 Australian dollars here in Australia
Wow, only seems like yesterday that you were fitting the old timber racks. Looking good!
I got my packout tool trailer completely sideways and it almost tipped. Packouts didnt go anywhere. Dont worry they hold to the plates and eachothwr very well they are not going anywhere
Where is your Bosch drill set pouch from
Hi Nick, I'd really appreciate your advice, I'm really wanting to re train as an electrician. I'm 45, what would you think is the best and quickest route to take to do it at my age. I'm worried I may be too old now and don't think an apprenticeship at my age would be the best thing to do
Just packed out my Berlingo, Packout is the way to go, you will love it
Great system got alot of it in the van
Great video!!
i love the packout series, i only use the slim ones for now since i use a pickup truck
I’ve got the Milwaukee tote and it’s perfect for packout racking!
Looks mint, at first I was thinking HOW MUCH but tbf, it's a good investment in the long run ! Top work !
Looks awesome
Good morning, what do you use for testing USB ports? Cheers
Hi Nick just a thought if the new creats rattle to much couldn't you put a piece of foam or foam blocks behinde them .Congraulationta to Adam for passing your exams
Should put a docking station to charge batterys... and include an inverter ..
Can def see the pros and cons of the packout or any fixed size system. They really need to make vans with 90 degree flat insides!! Packout price JUST turns me off but only just
Looks awesome and efficient 👍🏻
Use lithium grease on the self tappers to stop them coming out
Should have gotten the tripple Drawers would give you more space in the back right
Looks really good lads. Not sure about Angle Grinding that corner though! 🙈😂. Keep it up!
Good job, it may be expensive but if it makes the job easier then it's worth the money. The company I worked for wouldn't rack our vans out and it was a right PITA, jobs took longer because you could never find anything.
Looking forward to you getting a ride on packout scooter lol
hello from France 😉, when you ride, don’t the packouts make too much noise?
over a grand!! holy fek, that's like. . . almost an afternoons work there 🙄
I'll stick with them FORM boxes from B&Q, they fit quite well in a van 🙂
Milwaukee has the best portable storage and accessories hand down but yes you pay a bit more but pay for what you get
You need a sponsorship!!
Alrite mate, can you not stick a batten on the back behind the boxes to stop the rattling, spray it black for your ocd. Wouldnt need to be too big just acting as a wedge 👍
Looks awesome mate
Looks awesome mate, but I just cant justify the cost of the Milwaukee stuff! I've gone Dewalt TSTAK 👀
Have many speed dumps around your end?
Pack out is great but of kit. If you need any more, power tool mate, have got a flash sale on the pack out stuff
Bosch will be livid 😂
They may offer you a fully kitted sortimo system
It's good stuff, but I'll stick to Stanley Pro Stack and keep some change in my pocket!! 🤣
Or if I really have to I''ll go with the Dewalt equivalent (even being a Makita user).
Should have got a fabric check strap!
I always think with Vans that Brains had the right idea with the design of Thunderbird 2. A container that can be swapped out depending on the job. Pull into the unit press a button and the whole back of the Van is swapped out.
I actually call it the Thunderbird 2 system!, so easy for swapping between domestic and industrial and then most importantly weekend adventures
you should have moved it 2inches :) i'm sure you end op buying a new box and move it anyway
Just realised your local when you mentioned the chase 😂😂😂
The racks on the back door being upside down is not sitting right with me.
Expensive but seems worth it for being organised, think of time you'll save
Have you seen Klein are now bringing out the exact same system
Wow looking good don’t think my company will pay for me to have them, I don’t need them but want them. Nice .
Intellectual property costs a lot now. Milwaukee has great design. Think you would have had better storage and durability with metal
A company called BOTT makes a door lock thing that is reversed (instead of going into the van it goes into the door)
Hope I explained it properly
Talk to Todd glister he bought some strips for the rear doors
"This reminded me..." *cuts to black* 😂😂😂
I think your back door racks upside down
Ha - glad you’re finally seeing the light and making the move to ‘team-red’
Ask Jack how happy he is just with his combi drill… 😉
On a separate note, I’d consider swapping out one of the draw sets for the rolling bottom cab - that way you can roll stuff in and out of the job and have everything to hand without loads of trips back and forth.
Milwaukee tool totes are also packout compatible - that’s probably dirty-talk what with your relationship with Velocity, but Milwaukee totes are really nice, and they fit really well with what’s already an awesome system.
Glad you’re happy with it 👍
Nice job 😎
Cory must be wetting himself, seeing your pimped up Milwaukee Van....surprised he hasn't come up to work for you.
Do you have any back packs for sale Nick?
Looks great! (but very expensive) Jordan (Artisan) just got loads of these for free 😵💫
Milwaukee are laughing at those prices especially as that sort of plastic deforms quite badly with time, weight and temperature.
I can't afford that 😂😢😢 but I love it, looks good 👍
You know you’ve made it when you can afford to rack you can put in the red stuff 😅
The pack out, fit out costs more than the van. I love my Milwaukee stuff but it’s way to expensive of a system.
I have spoken to Henry Winkler and he said
Happy Days
What ever happened to Adams van?
Wow that is expensive racking. Does look good though.
The cost is rediculas for plastic bits
What a tasty system. Noice
I like it a lot
WTH!!!!! I want black packout in the USA!!!
Will Adam's mom use it and play with it too 🤣🤣🤣
Professional 🙂🍀🇮🇪
