- A playthrough of Vap and NTVIC's 1991 NES game, Isolated Warrior.
Played through the whole game without losing any lives - this allowed me to play the secret seventh stage and fight the true final boss. I didn't use the power up warps during the game (I didn't see a need to), but at the very end of the video I show one from stage one so you could see what they look like.
I really like this game. It's perspective takes a bit to get used to, but it works and adds a very different feel to everything than a straight top-down viewpoint would give. It resembles Zaxxon, Viewpoint, and Zen: Inyergalactic Ninja in quite a few ways. It's super obscure, but I'd highly recommend it.
No cheats were used during the recording of this video.

This game was truly a hidden gem
Isolated Warrior is an awesome hybrid of Zaxxon and Viewpoint. Some really sharp play and amazing graphic effects for the NES make this a pretty memorable game!

One of the most challenging nes titles that could make you to rage quit. Got it as contra 8 back in 2003 and played this game like crazy. Truly an underrated and hidden gem.
The graphics look like Skeleton Krew on GENESIS but this is a way better game also SK has some of the best graphics on Genesis

A very challenging NES game and finishing it was truly rewarding.
The game was developed by KID, same ones also responsible for G.I. Joe and its sequel, The Atlantis Factor, plus Kickmaster and Low G Man, among others. Their games were easily recognizable and had an above-average track record.
I would just like to note that KID is totally a visual novel company to boot. They made such great stand outs despite being specialized in porting and developing bishōjo games. This includes the fairly well known eroge Prism Heart for CD. You cannot overstate the talent and skill this company had working for it.
Ive been looking for this game for 20 years. They sold me a cassette with a Contra sticker with a number 8 on it, and id been looking for Contra 8 ever since. When i realized later duing the initial Internet phase that there was no contra 8 ever, i had been searching through the entire library of NES, unregistered games, bootlegs, unreleased games and only now ive found it. F that guy, Ive got just one more game ive yet to find.

Oh my god I almost cry by watching this! I didn't think in this game at all for like 30 years and this night suddenly I had a flash but couldn't remember the name, searched with "diagonal scroll" words has been the key! So many emotions and memories... Nothing specific, just a feeling... my god...
I remember playing this when I was 4! It was only the year 2001 but my dad suprised me with it and told me he purchased it new in the 80s. Some of my best memories are from this system and I still have the NES and a bunch of games to this day.
My favorite nes games to play on nes was double dragon 2 and 3,isolated warriors, ring king,and mike tyson punchout
OMG!!!! I played a lot this game at my cousin's house when I was staying there during my school vacation. Holy shit! Good times, good memories. We played this game so much (because he only had two games at the time, this and Super Mario 3). If I'm not mistaken, we never finished it, to be more precise, we never got past the first few stages. It was way too hard for us at the time.

I remember playing this game with my father. He didn't know the name of the game anymore, but he knew ot was something with "Warrior" in it. So I searched for 'NES Warrior' on youtube and here it is now. I remember the level on a motorcycle... Crazy times!

I am so happy I own this game in my physical collection. I bought it just last month and never knew what an addictive game this is. Same with _Gun.Smoke._ The first many number of attempts, it made me want to go out and assault somebody. Now that I'm more used to the controls and knowing where to look for the hidden rooms, it's become a walk in the park. I have already beaten it *twice* in under an hour. At this point, I'm looking to see how high a score I can reach before game over or I've had enough lol.
Why have I not heard of this? It looks cool!

Ah, what good memories of youth with this good old arcade game. Sometimes I still play it from time to time to pass the time thanks to an emulator, and I admit I still love it so much.

I never got to own this game, but I was able to rent it from the local video store.
All I can say is that this is an absolute classic, shame that this will never get a VC release on Nintendo's current consoles.

This game came in a 4-in-1 cartridge when I was a little kid, and after the cartridge was lost I could never find it again since I didn't remembered the name. Today, after I ca,me across a random short with a boss, I finally can see the game again!

I think bro didnt knew this move if you hold ur bomb button the bomb will rotate and goes far away this way the bomb has very lethal affect on enemies...

10:20 took me awhile to beat that boss
Another one of the few games I skipped, but always picked up at my local rental store. By now, I knew I preferred more involving games like RPGs and adventures. This looked really simple and didn't like anything special at the time.
Why did they release the SNES? This game would not be possible on the SNES.
