Most fav game of mine. I remember how I got this game. When I was in KG a teenager was lived besides my house and he told me that " Hey Sanchit try this game" I put the cartridge and played the game. At very 1st sight I loved the game. Still that cartridge is with me...
@@mikaelrivacov5705 Thanks a lot. Those days were one of the best days I'd ever lived. Such precious Nostalgic memories. Glad to read that you also love this game. The chivalry of kickmaster is divine and unmatched. He is a true hero.
I like how the final boss kind of explains how your veteran knight brother got obliterated by a single skeleton. Those shapeshifting guys with Belzed took a ton of hits, and all of them took the skeleton form at least once. Could be they took an unassuming form to lull him into a false sense of security, or something. I'm kind of reaching, but still.
There are lots of fun ways to fight the enemies in this game. My favourite method is to spam the Flying Kick attack, which you get at Level 5, which lets you kick enemies while flying on the diagonal towards the ground. You can even pull off several of them in a row in quick succession!
Bro, you make this game looks so easy. I’ve been chipping away at it for a bit now again after all these years. Learned some great tricks and tips from you. Thanks. Oh, YOU are the Kick Master 🦵🎮✊
This game came out after the SNES, so sadly it was overlooked by many and was never considered a classic... it is to me though. One of my favorite 2d side scrollers ever.
My dad always taught me that bullies only respect strength, talking it out won't work, so get underneath them and kick straight upwards. Kids these days don't get told that and it shows
I finally remembered the name of this game! I couldn't remember but it was one of the most action packed adrenaline rush games ever. Music is on par with the theme of the game
THIS LOOKS AMAZING! I love the music too. makes me mad I've never heard of this game as a kid. I love games that shows the true potential of the system!
Strange, but the characters walking animation and the sprite when he walks almost looks eerily familiar to the Castlevania Character from the Arcade Haunted Castle
Interesting game, I think I rented this when I was younger, The games music has a very Castlevania feel to it, I am not complaining, if your going to imitate a game maybe as well be a great one...
I still remember when I got to the last stage using only basic moves and magics. Then my cousins showed me advanced moves, and I was like WTF! Great game
great music with intresting game play. love the kicking etc. needs a proper remake with more Kick boxing/ savate/ taekwondo or even Muai ti. its a martial art form based on mostly kicks so that can describe a lot.
I love this game, it has an amazing soundtrack and really cool looking sprites, the game is pretty fair in difficulty until the last level with all the bottomless pits caused by the screen moving up and the rain of bubbles... also some of the moves you unlock later have messy hitboxes sometimes.
And they ran the whole range from some 4 character thing to ones that are practically nuclear launch codes(GOD DAMM YOU JAMES POND 3:OPERATION STARFI5H!)
I still remember when my little brother and I struggled with "Mega Man 2" for the NES in the early 90's, and always had to actually write down the passwords on pieces of paper. There was a very special charm about having the passwords written down like that. ^_^
OMG yesh i love you this is my by far and i mean like BY FAR one of my fav games and you heard my wish so thank you so much :D you are like shenron lol ow and P.S.- i never completed the game but i did got to the last level and the last boss but he was just too much for me couldnt kill him i still try to beat this game (yes i have it :D)and gonna play it again after watching yours gameplay probably gonna take some tips XD
I like to think the main character of this game took his brother's metal boots and used em throughout the entire game when he kicks throughout the game.
As soon as sector six began, I wondered if the game had been taken over by Konami. STRONG resemblance of the music to "Bloody Tears" from Castlevania II.
Man, I remember playing this all day and beating the up to 7 times in a sitting. Boy oh boy, did my mom give me an ass chewing. Only reason I played it that much was to see the different dialogue in the endings.
I love Taito but I have Never heard of this one before until this very moment. It looks really good. At first glance the graphics look really good and it plays awesome. the bad that I notice right away is that there is way too much jumping and for whatever reason when you kill enemies the items don't come down to the ground and instead you have to jump and get them in air or you loose them if they hit the ground. If you can over look that this game look to be a hidden gem of the past.
"Brother, me well made armour crafted of the finest steel and my masterfully crafted sword, along with my years of training are no match for a single skeleton! Use your epic kicking power to save the princess."
In other words, ninjas >>> knights.
@@chrisfalcon_vt No man, Thai Kickboxers >>>> Knights judging by the kind of standing kick he does.

omg i loved this game as a kid, but reading that Line now as an adult is so ridiculously funny
Love the music in this game. Brings back such good memories...
Boss music sounds like mario 2 ending Vs wart lol
I love these retro playthroughs. As someone born in 1980 who has been playing video games consistently throughout his life, this is pure eye candy.
Hey what you feel about modern style retro games such as shovel knight, Blood stained curse of the moon, Cybershadow etc.
@@sarthaksingh5480 I am all for modern platformers, though I tend to like them more in the 16 bit and above style.

Holds tongue for the next pun unspoken "hmmmm"
I can't believe this one got past my radar, but during 1992 I was playing SNES games more.
"The Kick Master Thonolan disappeared, never to be heard from again..." only because somewhere out there, he tripped and sprained his ankle.
The foot is stronger than the sword apparently.
Well, your leg muscles are your strongest muscles. =P

10:25 Ball cracker, definitely one of the strongest skills
Castlevenia but Hokuto no Ken.
Yes, the sprite(As opposed to the actual art) is basically Shu/Shew/Shu. Who was a master of legwork.
XDXDXDXD

This is the ultimate ass-kicking game!
Badass NES music, and from a game not a lot of people have heard of.

Played this game in 92,the graphics were amazing back then. Thoroughly enjoyed the game
"Block, Turn, and Kick It!"
My heart breaks a little for every dropped item....😣😢
I always make sure to grab the Experience Point items.
This game teaches you a good lesson my friend, not only choose your battles wisely, but also your rewards
levelling up gives you a slide kick that makes it easy to accidentally fly off platforms and kill yourself in the last level
He's not good on collecting items. A jump following a knee drop usually guarantee at least 2.
@@CrystVeno it's deliberate.
If you level up you lose some of the basic kicks that he used to kill of the bosses
Medieval Kenshiro with the 5000 year old Chinese secret art of crotch kicking. :D
NES soundtracks are criminally underrated
one of my favorite childhood games :)
Mera bhi
So the strategy of this game is "slide under the enemy and kick them up in the air constantly" :D
Probably the first example of juggling in games.
There are lots of fun ways to fight the enemies in this game.
My favourite method is to spam the Flying Kick attack, which you get at Level 5, which lets you kick enemies while flying on the diagonal towards the ground.

I learned so much from watching this guy play this. Taught me some good tips and tricks. Now, after 30 years, I can beat this friggen game.
Bayonetta from Smash in a nutshell, lmao!!
