As a kid our game library was limited to what our parents bought us, so seeing this video tells me I missed out on almost every great game, I also see where some of the more polished flash games I played as a teen draw their inspiration from. Those 4 years playing NES during summer break at my grandmas house feels like eternity ago. My first console was a famicom, after that broke I had 3 famiclone's because I'm guessing the circuits fried during the summer heat as I would play almost non-stop, coupled with the fact that it was copied hardware. All in all, pretty good childhood tbh.
I would like to add: Monsters in my pocket, Summer Carnival 92 Recca, Time Dive Avanger, Marcross, Zen - Intergalactic Ninja, Ike Ike Nekketsu and Nekketsu Soccer League. There are more, but that's all I can remember for now.
There are so many good games that I feel like I will never have time to play them all. Alot of good games for NES, SNES, Genesis, SMS, N64, Saturn, Dreamcast, and so many other systems.
I guess ill never found the spaceship shooting games i used to play as a kid. The game are never talked about on the internet and im sad because i never beat the last level.
Here are my favorite 13 NES hidden gems 13. Dragon Spirit 12. Legacy of the Wizard 11. Faria 10. A Boy and His Blob 9. Casino Kid 8. Krazy Kreatures 7. Clash at Demonhead 6. Cowboy Kid 5. Gargoyle Quest 2 4. Fire n Ice 3. North vs South 2. Ghost Lion 1. Dusty Diamond All Star Softball !!
Yes! Finally after so many years of not remembering the name of the game a loved as a kid, finally found it on your video thank you so much! CONQUEST OF THE CRYSTA PALACE!!!!
I was looking for that game for an entire decade, after my parents threw away all of my NES games. I was quite surprised when I found out it was called SCAT...
Thank you for uploading this video, I was no joke looking for 20+ years for a game I remembered playing as a kid but I just couldn't remember the name of it, I just remembered it was pretty difficult and you controlled a ninja/samurai type character and there was a shopkeeper girl that would gent angry at you If you didn't have enough money to buy a product; I resorted to looking for NES top games lists but none of them gave me the one it was, I tried searching on Google using Key words I remembered from the game but to no avail, today I decided to try again on RUclips and I saw this video had a 100+ games on display and I decided to give it a shot and sure enough there it was "conquest of the crystal Palace" I immediately recognized it, thank you for including it.
I've been looking for a game for a while now. Thanks to this video I found it (S.C.A.T) as well as rediscovered games I've forgotten already but enjoyed in my youth. 🙏
most I've never even heard of, let alone played, but I def remember that world runner, the casino kid and trojan were greta games. my favorite underrated new game of all time is Nintendo GOLF. very addicting.
Operation Wolf was all rented out at my local 90's video store, so my dad got me Whomp'em instead........my spoiled self was initially sad but then Whomp'em became one of my faves!
Do you know a certain japanese game where you play as a father who wants to rescue his daughter kidnapped by a demon? The father use guns in this game and whenever he defeats a demon, he can either get their powers or avoid them. It has two endings where he either killed her daughter after finding out she became a demon or accept her.
I really can't find those NES games that one that looks like Castlevania, but it isn't cause he has a weapon that isn't a whip. And that one fantasy adventure, that I can't remember, but was amazed by the exploration.
There was a game i used to play, it's about a bald guy who is a servant of god. He shoots ball rapidly to destroy monster, u can press select button to create a long ladder to climb up
Over Horizon is an awesome shooter that is very overlooked. Maybe because it's a pal exclusive. I like the fact that you can shoot forwards and backwards. You press A for shooting forward, and B for backwards. You can't do that in most space shooters.
I had Bonk's Adventure for the Turbo GrafX-16 and I never realized it was also ported on the NES (I had an NES, too). Bonk's was an incredible game and it could have easily been the Turbo GrafX-16 mascot like Sonic for Sega Genesis, Mario for Nintendo and Crash Bandicoot for Playstation 1. I won it plenty of times so it wasn't overly difficult but then I had a TG-16 controller with switches which will constantly repeat the button you're pushing down as long as you're holding it down.
Quite a few of these were great titles I rented but never owned. To think this was 30+ years ago. These are some really good games. Piko has released a few NES games on Steam but not the really good ones like on this video. I would love it if we could see games like Shatterhand, GI Joe, Shadow of the Ninja, Power Blade, Kick Master, etc available for purchase. Unfortunately it may never happen.
I have Crash N The Boys, Crystals, Hammerin' Harry, Iron Tank, Mendel Palace, Mighty Final Fight, Street Fighter 2010, Bonk's Adventure, Parasol Stars, and Kid Niki on this video list. Not near as great as many others you put here. Mighty Final Fight being the best out of all of them.
Sorry, I'm searching for a snes game - It's a top down view action, adventure game, and everything takes place in a forest; it has western artstyle; as far as I can remember, your character can catch star (or fairy?) to upgrade or healing. If you know this, please tell me, Thank you in advance.
Man... in my childhood I playied a game called Xender, Xendexter, something like... It's a game where you control somekind of a robot or an alien, and you can turn his body into a space ship. I wasn't capable of explore much because I lacked skills in that time, but it's seems a Metroidlike, but I never see it again and no one knows either. I think that this game is an unofficial game or the name was changed.

Props for mentioning Werewolf. One of my all time favorite games.
Wizards & Warriors 3 maybe?
I would like to add: Monsters in my pocket, Summer Carnival 92 Recca, Time Dive Avanger, Marcross, Zen - Intergalactic Ninja, Ike Ike Nekketsu and Nekketsu Soccer League. There are more, but that's all I can remember for now.
Natsume was a awesome developer and publisher.

I got JACKYL in my Rasspberry ok and it is such fun NES and Arcadegame
No one shuts up about maniac mansion.
There are so many good games that I feel like I will never have time to play them all. Alot of good games for NES, SNES, Genesis, SMS, N64, Saturn, Dreamcast, and so many other systems.
I'm surprised you didn't put Rockin' Kats. Rockin' Kats has got to be one of the best hidden gem nes games of all time!

Abigail and Sodom are OP as fuck in MIGHTY FINAL RIGHT AND that have Sodom a freaking teleportation move too.
Mighty Final Fight is an excellent game.
