  • Thanks so much for watching! As I mentioned, this video is ALL OVER the place so bear with me. I will try my best in the next video to make it more structured.
    Towards the end of the installation, we were all beat and tired and had a long day ahead of us so I didn't get any footage of us installing the rear springs. Though, it was much easier.

    I’m not disconnecting anything either. Disconnected the battery at the beginning.

    I installed my APR Roll Control Springs and APR bump stops today on my 40th Anniversary GLI. Took me roughly 2 hours. Rides great, it dropped the car about 1.5 inches. Calibrated my DCC and did a quick alignment. Car feels pretty smooth. You can definitely feel the difference going into comfort mode from sport mode now. Now I'm waiting for AWE to come out with their exhaust for this car...

      Hello, fellow 40th AE GLI owner.. what do the bump stops do? I want to lower my car eventually and I've seen some springs say they're "DCC compatible." Are the bump stops necessary?

    I still think this wheel tire setup looks 10 times better than current wheels.

    Good looking GLI! Is it the 1inch lowering kit from H&R? Did it fix the "reverse rake"?

    • @Mk7John
      @Mk7John  3 месяца назад

      Thank you friend! It still has a little bit of reverse rake lol but not too bad. I think its the h&r sport springs if i recall right

    anyone have any issues bottoming out with springs on a mk7.5 gli? I have a bottoming out like noise coming from just my driver side, I checked to see if the top bolts were loose but they weren't.

      I don't have this issue, is the spring seated properly? Not sure if that could be a cause but it's what comes to my mind

      @@danieltomasi2796 my h&r springs came with new bump stops, sometimes if they don't come with the springs you have to trim the stock ones because they bottom out with the shorter springs
