    Actually enjoyed listening to the whole video! Lots of great points and feedback for multi gp and the track designers. Overall the hurdle was not used well in most of the tracks and that was my big complaint.

    I really enjoy track theory. Its something almost nobody knows about, until they have designed enough crappy tracks to realize that every gate/flag/object needs to have purpose. Also when combined with flight line analysis, what gates are creating excessively jerky lines for no reason. Another aspect of track design that many people overlook, is the "learnability" of it. How easy is a track to "figure out" without having to just know where you are supposed to be going? Its one of my critiques with a lot of Grower tracks. They use a lot of deliciously complex flight lines and force you to think about how to achieve the best line (which is a good thing), but often involve a lot of non-intuitive flying. For instance leaving a gate, and then just launching around various flags out in the field before resuming ground traffic somewhere else. Just have to know where you are supposed to go, because you won't otherwise just figure it out by looking at it. Once you know it, obviously that isn't a problem anymore, but still, something to consider with track design!

    • @IvanEfimovLimon
      @IvanEfimovLimon  Год назад

      I agree about Growers track. It's a love-hate relationship with this aspect of his tracks. I do enjoy it mostly, but sometimes need something simpler.

  • @kuzyatron

    Now I have a better understanding of why some gates felt weird and forced. Thank you for the insight you're sharing. And I agree 100% that blind voting would improve the objectiveness

    I agree with basically everything you said! I'm not a fan of the 5deg gates either, at least not for a GQ. One thing you didn't mention that I believe could cause a head ache is that some of the tracks have elements too close to the timing gate. Especially like the end of Hyper's track. The stripper pole (sounds better than orbit) is way too close to the timing gate and anyone that doesn't take it super close to the flag will likely trigger the timer. Of all the tracks, though. Ayyykayyy's was by far my favorite. In fact, it's really the only one I fly now after trying the rest of them. It's just the best overall track specifically for a GQ and a really fun one as well. Also, I really liked Grower's track but that back fast section just took me out of it. Not great for a GQ but would be fun on Freedom Spec for sure!
    Also, that TT track at the end of the video looked so fun!!

    • @IvanEfimovLimon
      @IvanEfimovLimon  Год назад +1

      Yes Sir! After I shared the video i realized I forgot to talk about the timing system position LOL So a very good point!

    • @IvanEfimovLimon
      @IvanEfimovLimon  Год назад +2

      Altho i think on HYpers track that pole dancer can be moved a little away in the final version if it wins. So maybe not a big deal

    • @SpicyFPV
      @SpicyFPV Год назад +1

      That first pole and then then knife into the orbit and potentially swinging by the timer or the last orbit and swinging the timer, are really the only critiques I had of Hyper's track. Either of those could get shifted to avoid that and still make the track viable.
