    Great video! I’m a software developer manager and can’t understand how they do it. Is amazing to see how a team coding world class software works. All my admiration to them.

    "GPS Fking Rescue" - I felt that. I felt that so much... there are more stories I can tell about the 'two weeks later' part, but that was such a huge example of why this is so hard, and requires an entire team to even do code maintenance, let alone keep pushing forward and developing.

    I'm bummed for missing this live! Because of different time zone from the Maldives where I live. A rare occasion, so very very interesting and insightful...to see and hear stuff straight from the horses' mouths. Please make more of this happen more often. I❤this

    Does betaflight developers ever take on apprentices that want to learn how to code? And or if what would be the best direction for somebody that wants to join that field of work?

    • @IvanEfimovLimon
      @IvanEfimovLimon  Год назад +2

      Good question. That would be a personal matter. I think the best way to start programming, is to program. Set small tasks for yourself, like little fun games or projects, and make them alive. Start with very simple ones. Thats how i started...

      As somebody who managed to make it in - just start coding somewhere (C++ helps if you have to choose, but there are more options to contribute), and find cool stuff to actually code up

    @Limon. Big fan of yours. You appear in MY latest video .. Its a 4.5 minute build video of a Quadmula f5. Id love to know your thoughts about my build. If you have the time

  • @taylorowen7558

    Why in Betaflight is it so complicated and hard to setup RTH with GPS and with KISS ULTRA V2 you just turn on RTH and it works. It is literally one button... Of course tuning your quad is just one button as well.......... Obviously it can be done. I guess I just don't understand why it has to be so complicated with so many steps... KISS is pretty small and they have figured it out. Shit, between AIRMODE and RTH and a perfect tuned quad every time.... Kiss is worth the switch....

    • @IvanEfimovLimon

      There are more settings in BF and more features. And therefore more buttons for a user to click in some cases, if he wants these features/settings. I haven't setup GPS rescue in Kiss, but i did setup tuning, modes, ports, OSD. Its either the same steps as BF, just different button colors, or it is even more clicks than in BF in some cases. Some can argue that RC link settings in BF are the extra steps that Kiss users don't have to deal with. And i agree. However the list of opposite examples can just go on and on. But yeah, Kiss is cool and different in some ways. Is it superior? eeeh :)

    • @MarkusRessel
      @MarkusRessel Год назад +1

      RTH is pretty young in BF, if past development is any indicator it will only get better over time. I don't know KISS, but if there are good ideas in there thats great! We can all learn from each other, someone "just" has to have the skill and hours of free time to actually implement it.

    I wish taxation was voluntary like betaflight developers volunteer.
    imagine if gubment guns were used to force these developers to give from their time and laboring energy without consent like is being done with taxation, it would be immoral and not fun, it would be slavery.
    these voluntary developers show how things can be done without immoral use of force like gubments do.
