@CiottiFPV Thank you again for taking the time to explain this. Since I want to learn to fly more cinematically, I will be rewatching this multiple times. Also to anyone else, 1:35:00 is a good general timestamp to jump to when he starts really explaining throttle expo adjustments.
Hello my friend and all you GG’s how is everyone doing? 00:04:10 On this stream…… 00:12:28 I just put my midpoint at 50 percent on all rigs... I know there's other ways to do it but that's just what my fingers and brain expect 00:18:57 Time for some support. 00:22:48 I’m thinking of making a vulture build from straw hat fpv and I was wondering what the biggest build you have ever flown is? 00:26:30 Air or acro for freestyle? 00:30:20 Ordered a couple of supposedly happymodel mob6 ELRS AIO off AliExpress... who wants to place bets on whether they show up and/or are the real thing? 00:30:59 JB and Blunty are anti throttle expo. 00:39:14 What do you think about the BetaFPV Meteor75 Pro Brushless Whoop Quadcopter 1S HD quad? 00:48:52 That validated my behavior, I tend to set it different for each quad...the motivation is to make each one "feel" the same to me. 00:54:47 I got the firefly motors for my 65 Walksnail, then realized 2 of my FETS are blown, motors tab the RPM's were not matching up. 00:55:16 One time I copied the rates from Quickflash, the Emuflight dev, and I had vertigo and a headache for a full 24 hours. my brain was not ready for that one 00:56:31 Know you talk about tuning to be person specific. I get that for sure. But with how popular your freestyle 65mm build is and how many people have that exact set up why not post a dump? 00:59:59 🤣🤣🤣 01:07:28 the resetting during arming mob 6 build was solved by flashing from bl Heli s to blue jay..... stoked! what has more pep...25000kv 802 or 26000kv 702? 01:09:12 My Cinelog 25 with the action 2 the stock tune isn’t locked in. Do you recommend using the sliders to tune it? I’m not sure where to start. 01:18:22 Do you ever touch other sliders if P + D gains get to a certain point? 01:21:08 Getting some massive RPM results, on the OSD. [esc rpm] no idea about calibrating 01:21:50 Am I missing an easy fix? I have a new build and the osd menu quit working. osd shows up fine but disappears when I try stick commands to open osd menu. It worked yesterday not today... 01:23:47 I've been thinking about it more and more. I want to get more physically active. 01:31:20 How too dialing in Throttle Expo. And why you should put it there. 01:52:30 Showing it when flying, how you can use throttle position. 01:50:34 How too set throttle position in osd 02:03:57 Now explaining it in Stevie Wonder mode 😁 02:07:50 More explanation will flying. 02:17:00 A 3 or 5 second running average throttle value would be amazing 02:19:38 Did you get an answer from HappyModel concerning the plug connectors and the AIO? 02:22:50 Flying with the dialed in throttle expo. Stay safe everyone and have fun flying
I went through this today after watching (was skeptic of throttle expo), once I tuned it in my flying looked considerably smoother (0.35, 0.35). I also flew outside later in the day and what you said was true, I needed to completely chane those numbers in a bigger environment.
I have an argument for the 85mm whoop (2s only), i really enjoy mine for spots that are just a touch too tight for a toothpick, but boring with a 65mm. I also love love love that i can crash my 2" whoop DOZENS of times before replacing props. Its also fun. Thats my only argument that matters. Its a blast.
@ciottifpv I just tried throttle expo and got the midpointz right (by recording dvr). I didnt give me any benefit except a dead center. I am happy with linear throttle. Thats probably because I learned like that. And i never had a problem with trottle management (100h+ on vewlocidrone before flying a whoop) except when the racetracks were to small. Therefore for flying very small spaces I would advice people to set a motor output limit and slowly work it up. This gives you way more resolution than expo could!
In that discussion about scaling larger quads to small ones people also have to consider that gravity doesn't scale. A small quad doesn't fall slower just because it's smaller
thanks for this! definitely going to be trying this out with my cinewhoop you mentioned having the same rates across all rigs. i currently have my normal freestyle rates for outdoor stuff, and then slower rates for indoor cinewhoop (real estate stuff). should i be setting my cinewhoop rates to be the same as the freestyle rates and just have them all consistent? or is it okay to have slower indoor rates
If possible you want to have one set of rates for everything, but depending on how you want your footage to look that may not be possible. Personally I like my freestyle footage to look cinematic so I can get away with it but if you're into the stick bang style for example that'll be really tough
@CiottiFPV - Is it possible to put the midpoint adjustment on a dial on my controller? Set the expo really high and the roll the dial till you find the spot... Possible?
@@CiottiFPV So I've been messing with throttle expo on my new whoops. My problem is that the midpoint moves so much as I go through the battery... Am I missing something?
Bro exercise sucks. Replace the word exercise with training. Exercise is momentary but training extends before and after you do it. With training you can look back on where you've come from, where you're at and where you're trying to go. It becomes a long term journey of learning and growing, rather than something you feel like you need to tick off the list every day. I hate simply exercising but I love training to make my body more capable.

Perfect! First time I heard someone clearly show how and why to use throttle expo! Magic, thanks man!
Coming from you that is hiiiiiiigh praise man :) Thanks for all that you do

Oh wow, you're the first person that I've run into that doesn't like it, had to happen eventually though :)
I have a plaster on the same thumb I cut mine modifying a whoop with a exacto knife
In that discussion about scaling larger quads to small ones people also have to consider that gravity doesn't scale. A small quad doesn't fall slower just because it's smaller
Yup, that's where disc loading or the ratio of AUW to prop size comes in and is super important
"Compare what I was just doing to me crashing un-recoverable".
@ciottifpv whats your name in velocidrone? did you use it for racing?
I'm CiottiFPV everywhere but I don't do any racing with FPV, only in real life (autocross)
thanks for this! definitely going to be trying this out with my cinewhoop

You can turn stick commands off, but I don't remember any other configuration
@CiottiFPV - Is it possible to put the midpoint adjustment on a dial on my controller? Set the expo really high and the roll the dial till you find the spot... Possible?
I can’t think of a way to do that but I’m definitely not an opentx ninja like Joshua or some of the other more technical folks
Hey! I finally have something interesting to ask on his next stream!
