    I can really relate to this video but at the moment i still think it is a good bike for me. I decided to keep it for forest roads and add a mt07. I was going to get a tenere 700 but instead just added the mt07. Between the 2 bikes i spent $8200. I got the crf250l abs 2018 for $3500 and the mt07 2019 for 4700.
    I just wasnt ready to get a tenere 700 and drop it so I am hoping this will meet my adv needs. Still same concerns you have are in my mind but at the price i got it for i can live with them.

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  Год назад +2

      nice, thats a steal for both bikes. I was thinking the same thing about the tenere I got to ride it side by side with the tracer 9 and it was just not a fair assessment as they are both such different bikes. I really didn't like the tenere but I do feel it needs a proper test again.

      @@ScoutsOut i had the same impression. It just didnt give me a wow, i have to have it factor. But then again, at the time I test rode it, i was xoming of a gsxs1000. Overall, i think i am not rrady to just have an adv bike as my only bike as I like sporty bikes. The crf is that compromise in my garage. Cheap and allows me to get in the mud. The mt07 while is not as fast as the gsxs is fast enough for me. Nice videos....

    I commute on my 250l all the time. gennerally backroads that are 60mph. so its perfect for me. I do some mild to medium off road and I find the suspension fine if you dont push it hard. I also have an africa twin , if I had to sell one I would sell the AT. I love this little bike and cannot see myself selling it anytime soon. When you get older like I am you realize that bigger isnt always better.

      Yea I enjoyed it when I had short backroads to work but now that I have a long freeway run it's ruff. I ended up getting the KLR 650 and it was done me well so far. I hear ya on the big heavy bikes I prefer smaller lighter and more manageable as well cheers!

    I got the crf250 rally and I ride 94 miles a day for work. It’s been great. Oil change is once a month and I skip all 3 months in winter for oil because it won’t change color all winter. Tusk saddle bags are great for my two thermos bottles for coffee and general use trail side tools and everything else goes in my Glock backpack. Even though the rally has a larger tank I’m still using a half tank a day. Engine runs very cool despite the 98/100 degree heat in summer and there’s probably 1 minute heat up time in winter. I only ever ride off road tires but they are plenty balanced so I’m happy with them wherever I put them. I won’t allow myself to get a faster bike because I will get in trouble or die. All these things definitely need a suspension upgrade if you weigh 200lbs because they are perfect for a 150lbs rider. I can’t complain.
