What an amazing viewing experience. Unable to put my phone down watching this. What a drive by Thomas at the last. Go big or go home and he got his rewards. Magnificent golf. More vids like this please!
That 18th hole is the toughest tee shot I've ever seen in my life on any golf course...not sure what course this is but it's a shame not many matches made it to 18...that tee shot Thomas hit was absolutely perfect.
Totally agree but the money grabbers from both Ryder cup teams will eventually realise what a mistake they made going over to liv because there can't be any better feeling in golf than playing in the Ryder cup
@Sambo Jones what’s surprising? The fact that they booed the hell out of him when they announced his name…. And then cheered after his tee shot. That was surprising. You usually don’t get a cheer from the same people that booed you. And no, they paid to watch their country win the Ryder Cup.
I could watch Rory hit ball after ball because his motion, I feel, is as close to perfection as a golf swing can be. He is the best at utilizing every possible thing that a player could possibly use to increase speed and produce repeatable crisp contact
"Never give up, you never know. You might hole this and maybe Justin Thomas will fall off the bridge in to the water or something." Maybe my favorite golf quote ever
Wow, I forgot the ending of this and started laughing...That's GOLF for you! Rory had every chance to win that match but his putter betrayed him. The GOLF GODs said you waited to long Mr. McIlory now you must pay the ultimate penalty...Defeat.
does a drop not count in match play or something cause if rory on the 17th dropped ball JT would get par but rory would get bogey so it makes no sense how they can end in halve
Great video but commentators left me a little cold. Maybe once they said what club the players were using. Its essentially interesting to know what clubs the pros use. Shame for the otherwise great video.
I’ve always thought this too but I think it’s quite difficult for them to do, without some sort of identifying mark I think it relies on them actually seeing the club head. Not to mention is quite redundant information for 99% of golfers watching as they’re playing lower lofted clubs and still hit them further than typical golfers
@@richardpreston8440 most blades are higher lofted. my Pitching Wedge is 48⁰ friend of mine has GI Irons that carry a 41⁰ wedge. That's somewhere between my 8 and 9 iron.
He faded it on 18 but just faded it too much. Not sure why he felt he needed to fade it there with a 3 wood. 305 to the water on a straight line? He must have felt his 3 wood could reach the water. Thomas’s incredible drive there clearly pressured Rory to try to do more than he was comfortable doing. The hole just doesn’t set up well for Rory’s normal draw.
The hole didn’t fit hus normal right to left draw and especially not with his driver. 305 to the water straight away and then the fairway angles to the right and gets REALLY narrow with bunkers, mounds, bunkers and heavy rough to the right. And then a forced carry over water to the green. I think he would normally hit a long iron there to make sure he was in the fairway. Thomas going first and hitting an incredible drive clearly pressured Rory into trying to squeeze a cut 3 wood into the fairway. Unfortunately he cut it too much and then got a terrible break in the bunker. Have to give credit where credit is due and that was to that drive Thomas hit.
Yes. It is where you are born, not where you live. Imagine a world where teams were selected on what countries we could move to and not where we were born 😆
@@stuarthillier2156 What you are saying is not true. Player who moved to Canada do not represent their birth nations (Milos Raonic born in Serbia, Denis Shapovalov born in Israel) I was just saying it is logical a player should represent the country in which he lives.
@@sandergoldberg4508 Shapoalov wasn't even 1 years old when he moved to Canada, and Raonic was 3 years old. They feel more Canadian than their place of birth, so it makes sense to represent Canada for both. Mcllroy was born and lived in Ireland most his life and only moved to America to play the PGA tour. Not to represent them as a country. If you use your theory, then Neymar would now play for France in the World Cup and not Brazil. It would be crazy.
You know... I was once asked to to keep it down at a hockey game, (I didn't.). A professional golf player demands complete silence... - A hundred, even a thousand random people, all being quiet for one guy... at a professional sporting event is kinda weird. I bet if golfers encouraged loudness and cheering when they 'hit',... most would do as well or better.
Sad knowing that this was just when golf was breaking new horizons.. arguably peak was 2021. I feel like I’m not alone when I say that LIV and the Tour have slowly destroyed this game.
35:32 “CLASSIC RORY!”
It even made Rory chuckle a little bit
That heckle was wild 😂😂😂
the synchronicity of Justin Thomas and his caddy at 30:00 is crazy
good catch. That's amazing!

These single games are great to watch, totally absorbing, keep em coming, amazing standard of golf

Le Golf National.
Southwest of Paris.
All I can say about Rory mcilroy is that I will never not be amazed by his swing and tempo. It’s beautiful.
I love his swing too! It's the only reason I watch Rory McIlroy
Beautiful but not cashing in 🙏🙏❤️
Rory so over rated.
Swings amazing, his mental game is not

I’m so pumped this course will be the Olympic course next year. It’s going to be one heck of a show.
Gonna be a GREAT Ryder Cup this year !!
he is from Louisville Kentucky my home state, love watching Justin Thomas play!
I just love you!! Classic music is life! I can work better, think better, and be grateful for life
Love these videos. So cool to be able to watch every shot
His shot-shape is right to left. That means his driver was a high risk shot, given the design of the fairway.
Love how absolutely silent it gets to allow Rory to hit. Like an abyss so quiet it's scary! lol
What a match! Beautiful golf. Thanks gentlemen!
Talk about alot of talent and potential. Both of these guys can still win a bunch on tour.
wonderful Play
37:11 "For a little guy he's not that far behind Rory". Justin is an inch taller than Rory. It just shows Rory is one of the best drivers.
I think he’s referring to his build rather than his height. Thomas must be 10 stone wet through!
Rory is shredded. He's a ripped little dude.
JT and Rory are such class acts. Really what's happened to the game this past 18 months w/ LIV

JT when he was striping it. Man I wanna see him get back to this.
That ending hurt me in my soul, such a bad break. All square at the last hole only to get screwed by a bunker.
It definitely was a bad break. Thomas put a lot of pressure on him with his incredible drive on 18.
Not a bad break, a bad shot.
Rory just hates pressure on the 18th
Why didn’t Rory’s drop on hole 17 count as a stroke? Pretty sure Justin got his in 4 and with a stroke Rory 5?
