Tiger's wife pre-7 iron to the car. Or did she hit a 6?
I think it's bad if you put the ball 10 feet from the hole on your approach you still have a 3 foot break on the putt. For all the shit Tiger gets I have never seen him ungracious in an interview or acceptance speech.

Not yet, he still needs 9 senior majors and 4 majors to catch Jack. He is certainly close.

Tiger made the least stressful birdie in history on number five here. Then, the following year at Royal Liverpool, and just to be nutty, he made the least stressful *eagle* in history on number five, there. It really was: The world's most boring eagle. Three-wood off the tee, middle-middle; unfussy iron shot to the center of the green, one putt. I turned to my girlfriend at the time and said, "This is completely over, if he can make it look like he's a club pro in a charity open, and walk away with an eagle.

Very similar to the 2006 PGA final round, he came in tied with Luke Donald who was young and had to be very nervous. First hole, Tiger outdrives him by 20 yards right down the middle. Then the pin is tucked behind a bunker, the only place with an uphill putt is the tiny 5 foot window between the bunker and the flag. Donald bails out to 20 feet beyond the hole, while Tiger goes right at the flag with a 7 iron and hits a moonball that drops impossibly softly out of the sky directly in-between the flag and the bunker, trickling to within a few feet, leaving the only uphill putt on the entire green. Donald two-putts cautiously for par. Tiger then drains it for the lead.
The tournament was basically over after one hole, and everyone knew it.
Tiger was then absolutely on fire the entire front nine, making a pair of 30-footers for birdies as he ran away from the field

@@TheLocalLt I don't remember that one! I remember the major against Bob May -- I think it was a PGA Championship -- in which Tiger leaked oil all over the course and eventually had to settle for sudden death, but then made that incredible putt that he started chasing after with his finger pointing at it. I believe it was on the second hole of the three-hole playoff.
In that case, and I hate this, but I think it's fair to say that his opponent choked it away. If one watches that final round, May was consistently in better position off the tee -- in some cases almost comically so -- and still couldn't put it away. Of course, that used to happen a *lot* when folks were playing Tiger.
