Because it went under the camera stands and in this tournament in this situation, they're allowed relief.
Ridiculous. These pros all save 2-3 strokes per round when this happens or they hit it into the gallery, preventing the ball from going a lot deeper in the rough/trees/OB, etc.
@@magnuscroify but on a normal round, those grandstands and scaffold towers for press etc wouldn’t be there, and he’d have just had a regular shot from the rough grass where those things have been temporarily erected. It makes total sense to gain free relief from a man-made obstruction which would not normally be a feature of that golf course and is in fact occupying what would normally be a backstop or general rough

Do you hate Rory because he refused to take the Saudi oil baron money and instead stood up for what is right? Or is it because he's one of the best golfers in the world? Or because you know you can never achieve anything close to what he has achieved? Or because you're an American, so you don't like anyone with class and standards?
The Ryder cup is so much better when NOT held in the USA, ie without the inaine American fans chanting U……S……A.
