This is my guess... probably because HD is based on the FX350 series, Pulse on the FX400, they used the concept of Pulse, because the prototype is created *before* the FX400 series, that's why it's in the ship roaster of HD instead of the normal variant.
@@pikachucetthesecond4296 because in the timeline of the game, other ships models didn't change much (if we're not talking about skins, or the fact the ps3 is more powerful, so some details are more visible on HD than the other games), only icaras had a concept used on the fx350, then the final version on fx400 (pulse). I may be wrong, but it's the only plausible reason that comes up in my mind.
Gotta admit I like most of the Pulse variants better - the HD ships just look a tad more flimsy and fragile which does not really feel adequate for an AG racer doing 500+ mph with the occasional rocket and quake passing by.
I understand what you mean. I love how the HD ships look, but I agree with you, some ships like Assegai and Mirage just look a bit too thin, unlike the Pulse versions
I think some of the Wipeout pulse DLC ships like Mirage may have been based on early concept art for Wipeout HD as the designs are a little bit different.
Flipped the backwards and forwards variants around and changed the lighting (they should have kept it during the night, there's barely any night courses in HD as it is, The Amphesium is the only one I think)
I still wonder why the Icaras concept was used for HD/Fury instead of the normal variant

@@DiegoTaken1 If that's the case though why is it only like that for Icarus and nobody else?

What's your personal favorite ship? Could be from any game ^^
It's quite difficult to choose just one.. I think Harimau or Icaras are my favourites. The Fury variants are even better

My dear Metropia… what have they done to you?

@@pikachucetthesecond4296 They didn’t just swap Metropia’s layouts. They completely changed one of them.
