Did anyone ever say why the Icaras concept design completely replaced the normal Icaras ship design in HD? I've been wondering about that for a while now.
I guess Icarus just decided that the concept ship worked better and replaced the old model, If you want an inlore reason. In reality the devs probably just liked the concept ship's design better or something
I feel like the concept ships take what is iconic about a ship's design and completely exaggerate it. Goteki, FEISAR, EG-X and Triakis for example. Either that or are completely freestyle and bring out nothing like what you would expect out of the team, such as Harimau and Mirage. Also just on the topic of Mirage, doesn't its concept model look just like Goteki's Pure model but with the cockpit at the front instead of at the back? 🤔 Either way, good vid regardless! 🙂👍

I know we got this feature with HD/Fury, but I wish they had gone the extra mile and enhanced the stats of the concept ships.

I've always noticed that too.. unfortunately I don't know if there is a specific reason for why the ship design was changed in HD 🤔

Are those on the Playstation 2 port as well?
Unfortunately, the concept ships are not in the PS2 port for some reason. They are only available in the original PSP release
You wouldn’t want to play the PS2 version anyway. It’s capped at 30 FPS, full of bugs, and corrupts your memory card.
