I hear that but thats not going to stop me.....AT ALL I promote and call out transparency in gaming...and lashed GranTurismo for their lack of. We deserve that as consumers. The way this was being said to be released was more like an early access with more tracks and other features coming after. I went through that in a way with ACC and personally don't mind. In so many ways, that's what so many game studios do now. It's almost like a standard
I’ve been looking forward to this for so long but am I going to be disappointed? The paid content is a big worry, especially when you have GT7 with a huge line up of cars and circuits for a ball point figure. Will it be enough to draw me from GT7? There’s also the livery editor which I do loads on GT7 (designs for a guy on RUclips to) you need to check out my skins 😂 ACE need to implement some kind of editor, the downside to GT7’s is a lot of creators never get noticed. If you start buying DLC’s it’s going to end up a really expensive game. Look how much effort GT7 puts into regular updates to keep us happy. That’s the reason GT7 has been so popular for so long. Evo has big boots to fill. Enjoy the holiday season
well you as a presenter always have the choice to direct your audience on the path of negativity or positivity. You say "it will ONLY have 5 Tracks on the 16th of Jan, which is a very slim choice. Do you remember how many tracks there were in the original AC release? ONE! ACC - ONE. Rennsport only had two. LMU had seven. So you have the choice to say it will have 20 cars and 5 tracks, but you decide to be all negative about that. And then you are still questioning the ingame economy thing, while it was revealed a long time ago, that this will be only a virtual thing and no iRenting-type of pay model. Also you are still questioning about VR. Seriously? How did you miss this info when this has been confirmed in every interview Marco Massaruti has been given since the Simracing Expo? Marco M. also mentions that the freeroaming part will only appear in the game in summer 2025. He clearly said that in the video you are taking these excerpts from, but you still want Kunos to answer that for you (again?) I don't understand all this questions from your side. I would expect that you, as a youtuber with a huge following, at least know the important officially announced features. But maybe this is your deliberate strategy to generate more feedback, which sadly seems to be more important than honest information these days. Not cool.
I'm willing to wait on PS5 for them to be able to deliver a more finished product, because I'm so tired of being a guinea pig when it comes to games in this day and age. I'll keep an eye on its development, but won't hop on this ride till it's finished. The freeroam is what I'm the most interested about, how well they will be able to pull it off(or not)
Thanks Kieth and hope Christmas is great, certainly has been good down under. I will save judgement until the facts are revealed. I can only play console, PS, so might not be on in the early days. Unlike many I don’t care about free roam, if I have spare time I race. A few cars and five tracks would be fine for, say, the first 3 months but I agree, beyond that not great. Particularly if there are combinations that don’t gel with you. The anticipated business model is symptomatic of software development these days, you need revenue early unless your balance sheet is really strong and your pockets are deep. It is why GT7 has such a strong market base.
Merry Christmas! Shame there is not more bridge financing so consumers don't have to participate in a quality lottery. The recent success rate of racing games in early access is not great
One extremely important thing that they don't mention, including the maker of this video, is mods. Assetto's modding community single-handedly gave this game the steam that it has. Without it, I don't think as many people would still be playing it. Regardless, it'd be incredible if all these mods were in some way still compatible with this game. The 20 cars and 5 tracks or whatever wouldn't matter at launch. If these mods could work and be tweaked to allow for the updated engine and its phyics, you automatically have a wealth of massive content from day one.
@@Kireth I'd say their freeroam will be a hell of a lot better than any mod, even the better ones like Wicklow Mountains or even SRP. As good as those mods are, you can still tell they have a lot of jank, and in most cases, actual missing parts of the map. I think, though, it's a case of them knowing that they have to put an amazing freeroam in because of what they are seeing from the modders. In this case, its the modders that are forcing the devs hand, and its great to see. I dare say that they even went as far as either buying the code from the CSP weather mod, or employed the people resonsible for the rain effects in that, because its hard to see anyone doing any better.
There will be mods at some point but its not gonna be the wild west like AC, kunos wants to be in charge of all mods. Yay or nay will be kunos's decision if a mod is available. They also want people to pay for them so the mod developer makes money and kunos gets a percentage as well.
@@arenam79 We'll see how that goes down. My guess is not very well at all if they want to impose carte blanche over modding like that. It certainly didn't work out too well for Bethesda when they tried it, and Take2 with GTA. It'd be more viable if Kunos took very specific modders that created high quality mods and gave them a platform so that they could potentially make money with them taking a bit of a cut. But how lucrative do they think that will be? It'd be absolutely stupid of them to not allow mods as standard that are free. This is the thing that draws people into your ecosystem. If there are paid mods of top quality that people might feel like they are worth trying as an option, then that would be seen as more consumer friendly, and certainly friendly to the niche space that is sim racing. Trying to get greedy in such a tight niche market gets you sunk. That has been proven time and time again. There are already mods for current AC that you pay modders for, so its nothing new. Kunos need to be very careful at handling this.
I wonder if Kunos has considered whether free roam can be used by griefing multiplayer gamers to cut the track and take out someone ahead of them. It won’t be nice to start a lap and find someone waiting for you at Adenauer
the game looks interesting.. my main hope is it drive well on controller, as i don't have space for a wheel, so that's one of my main concerns for this game as these games are bad for controllers users.
Assetto Corsa and Le mans Ultimate, has setforth the template for developing new game. New game are going to get more complex to develop into a final product. The AC modding community has shown over the past 14 years that bootstap mods into AC has lead to its success over the years. Kumos and Le mans Ultimte has learned from the AC modding community how to develop a longevity game more effficiently. But the biggest draw back is that the game is becoming a game economy where mods are not free but for the purchase. A big thanks for the modding community.
Having an ingame economy is what makes the game more fun in the longrun and its going to make the cars feel more special, get a feeling for the ownership of the car,
They have already mentioned before that VR and Troppel screen will work from the start.. also that no Micro transactions will be needed. So buy for real money.. the ones you may have to buy are access to packages like the Porsche package for the first AC but the cars in the game you buy are with "money" in the game that you have earned.
@ yes, I understand.. they are not micro transactions in the game.. that is, you must/can buy a special car with a debit card or something else.. but if you are going to buy a car in the game to drive, then they are with in-game "money" that you earn in the game in the form of what they mention here, time attack.
Its not about money, its to create a game that the community wants, And early access will be cheaper than when its 1.0 release, and you still get everything added during early access for free
As others have said.. VR is confirmed already. I wouldn't worry too much about it to be honest. As for your question regarding whether the upcoming 80+ cars will be free or not, I am surprised you ask this. Kunos is a for profit business, and I'm pretty sure we'll be paying for car and track packs as they become available. This just makes business sense. Time, money and labor goes into the creation of both cars and tracks. Assuming they would be just giving them away is foolish IMO. They need to recoup their costs and then some. The amount of DLC opportunities for this title dwartfs ACC, which if it's any indication, we could expect them to be reasonably priced. If being charged for additional content includes early access, so be it. We want Kunos to succeed in every way possible, and if this is what it takes... I'm all for it. We know that in the end, Evo is going to be a product that flourishes! We just have to be patient in the meantime!
I actually think given people's comparison points will be games like GT7 and Forza (and now, Forza Horizon given how much Kunos are pushing free roam) most people will expect the 100 cars to be free at a minimum
@@Kireth I personally wouldn't hold my breath on that (of course, I could be wrong). To me, it would seen like too much of a profiting opportunity (I'm not opposed to it at all, assuming a fair price).
They already answered many of your questions. Yes vr Free roam coming q3 Yes dlc yes it will cost money. The earlier you buy the less it will cost overall. Pre release won’t be full price. Yes console but no timeframe Free roam will have the same Physics but no dynamic track. Did I miss any?
Is there any free roam area on January 16? How much will the game cost for early access? Will any cars and tracks be added as paid DLC during early access?
No free roam until late summer at the earliest. Don’t know price but best guess 20-30 usd Yes paid dlc during launch. It sounds like if you get early access you’ll get everything up until full release for free. If you get early access after the first DLC it’ll cost more. After the 2nd it’ll cost even more
@@Kirethacc was 20 when it first came out in early access and got more expensive as more content was added. Kunos typically offers a lot of value for money with their DLC too so I wouldn’t expect a price model like ams2 or lmu
You're trying to grow your youtube channel by being controversial on behalf of saying things which were already said at the ADAC sim racing expo 2024, which you were present. VR was announced, console will be announced after 1.0 on pc. Just two examples you ignore.
@@Kireth System requirements on the steam page: "SteamVR, Oculus VR, OpenXR" Description page: "With the launch of a new KUNOS Simulazioni proprietary, high-performance photorealistic engine, VR and triple screen support have become first-class features and the new mathematical model meticulously simulates asphalt performance in different dynamic weather conditions that guarantees an authentic and realistic experience which will redefine the standards that have made Assetto Corsa globally renowned."
No VR, no buy. If it has VR I get it even if it has 5 tracks only, as far as it has a decent sports car in it. I don't even have a screen on my rig anymore :) . It is literally almost behind me at this point as I only play in VR :)

It's not hard to figure out, but when you're releasing to an international audience why reference summer or fall 2025, it's pretty much meaningless to most people in the southern hemisphere, you know the other half of the world. Anyway, minor gripe lol
I’m sure they said that console will be summer 2025. And it’s 15 tracks at launch. Nuremberg is available summer 2025 so I assume open world. They making more tracks available like gran turismo 7 no dlc. PSVR2 compatibility uncertain as of yet. Maybe still working on it. Fingers crossed. Early access means that it’s not ready so expecting everything to be available within that period is silly when PC players will be used for feedback before official launch and even launch on console
@@KirethIn the premier of the (everything you need to know) video earlier, it was mentioned as 5 cars for the first release of early access. 15 tracks for version 1.0(full release)
@@Kireth to be fair it was random callsign you tuber guessed this from the same video you watched. @@blackmamba7380 I couldn't be bothered with the faffing about with PCs. I DO have one, but rarely use it. The console is just too easy, and yes, I've used both PC and console versions of ACC and whilst AC can be modded to look incredible, again, it is just too much trouble for me - and many others - to deal with.
I think I will get it day one, I did that with Test Drive but although that game is a real let down compared with its predecessors It's ok I suppose.. ACE should be much better and I want to help these devs as have bought twice from them before and trust them to sort everything out.
I think Kunos have learnt from their Mistakes, they have the capital behind them now to create things from scratch and the Devs to do, where as yees ago It was only a small team. Massarutos thanked everyone for their support over the years and will like the price/cost of the early access and subsequent DLC's I'll get it even if it's £40.00 But it won't be!!
No chance, PS5 is a closed system per say. Consoles will get it around this time next year. All assumptions based on history but there's always a chance.
Triples will never get the immersion that vr gives you, Vr is way better for immersion, you just need to try a better vr headset and getting a better rig. Vr feels very immersive if you know how to set it up right.

In so many ways, that's what so many game studios do now. It's almost like a standard
Street cars and nothing more, Formula cars would be very welcome in a big release like this.
Unfortunately could be a paid DLC pack
We want ACEvo in VR o. Psvr2/ps5...we need it 😊
Surprise us with PSVR2 surprise release on January 16!
I’ve been looking forward to this for so long but am I going to be disappointed?
The paid content is a big worry, especially when you have GT7 with a huge line up of cars and circuits for a ball point figure.
Will it be enough to draw me from GT7?
There’s also the livery editor which I do loads on GT7 (designs for a guy on RUclips to) you need to check out my skins 😂
ACE need to implement some kind of editor, the downside to GT7’s is a lot of creators never get noticed.
If you start buying DLC’s it’s going to end up a really expensive game. Look how much effort GT7 puts into regular updates to keep us happy.
That’s the reason GT7 has been so popular for so long.
Evo has big boots to fill.
Enjoy the holiday season
From everything seen so far, ac evo will be a better game than gt7,
Gt might need to respond otherwise they could lose players.
well you as a presenter always have the choice to direct your audience on the path of negativity or positivity.
He clearly said that in the video you are taking these excerpts from, but you still want Kunos to answer that for you (again?)
I don't understand all this questions from your side. I would expect that you, as a youtuber with a huge following, at least know the important officially announced features. But maybe this is your deliberate strategy to generate more feedback, which sadly seems to be more important than honest information these days. Not cool.
So similar tracks to LMU. Will we see a $34 early access price with DLC on top?
Make videos about answers, not more questions
@@JURacingexactly, kireth is always so biased
Well said.. This video was a sugar coated attempt at sounding spicy for views.. It purposely gives a negative spin on some of the topics.
I'm willing to wait on PS5 for them to be able to deliver a more finished product, because I'm so tired of being a guinea pig when it comes to games in this day and age. I'll keep an eye on its development, but won't hop on this ride till it's finished.
The freeroam is what I'm the most interested about, how well they will be able to pull it off(or not)
If it doesn't have VR, I'll never play it.
The recent success rate of racing games in early access is not great
Im sure at the end he says there is 100 cars from 20 car brands not 20cars only...
There are over 30cars confirmed from vids
I want this day one too Kireth. I'm really excited for this installment of Assetto Corsa Evo. If I don't get it on day 1, then on day 2.
January 17 I am there 🙌🙌🙌
I'm going to buy it, but I don't think it will replace ac1 for me for a good.amount of time.
Silence on mods is deafening. Especially if ACE Eifel isn't as good as AC Canyons
So will I be able to lap the Nordschleife in a T-Rex for free?
I kinda love this 😅😅
Like House Robots
It's got to be on ps5 & xbox. I will buy it at launch, but they need to be clear on this really
Likely by 2027 game will be console imo
wait what? I thought VR was in EVO?
Merry Christmas 🙏
@garybalaban6129 merry Christmas!
the game looks interesting.. my main hope is it drive well on controller, as i don't have space for a wheel, so that's one of my main concerns for this game as these games are bad for controllers users.
Having an ingame economy is what makes the game more fun in the longrun and its going to make the cars feel more special, get a feeling for the ownership of the car,
@andreasmoller9798 hope they have some surprise boxes too 😅
They have already mentioned before that VR and Troppel screen will work from the start.. also that no Micro transactions will be needed. So buy for real money.. the ones you may have to buy are access to packages like the Porsche package for the first AC but the cars in the game you buy are with "money" in the game that you have earned.
100 cars and 15 tracks confirmed with no microtransactions?
@ yes, I understand.. they are not micro transactions in the game.. that is, you must/can buy a special car with a debit card or something else.. but if you are going to buy a car in the game to drive, then they are with in-game "money" that you earn in the game in the form of what they mention here, time attack.
Why the early access garbage? Just release it when it's ready.
Cashflow.
Its not about money, its to create a game that the community wants,
And early access will be cheaper than when its 1.0 release, and you still get everything added during early access for free
@@andreasmoller9798I didn’t realise they worked for nothing. Maybe the game will be free😂😂
Mitchi hoyer is a LMU fan boy I wouldn’t worry to about that I fairly sure he works with LMU
Let's see what happens!
They already answered many of your questions.
Yes vr
Free roam coming q3
Yes dlc yes it will cost money. The earlier you buy the less it will cost overall. Pre release won’t be full price.
Yes console but no timeframe
Free roam will have the same
Physics but no dynamic track.
Did I miss any?
Is there any free roam area on January 16?
How much will the game cost for early access?
Will any cars and tracks be added as paid DLC during early access?
No free roam until late summer at the earliest.
Don’t know price but best guess 20-30 usd
Yes paid dlc during launch.
It sounds like if you get early access you’ll get everything up until full release for free. If you get early access after the first DLC it’ll cost more. After the 2nd it’ll cost even more
@scubieroo05 No chance 20 USD personally but let's see!
@@Kirethacc was 20 when it first came out in early access and got more expensive as more content was added. Kunos typically offers a lot of value for money with their DLC too so I wouldn’t expect a price model like ams2 or lmu
