20 tracks and 100 cars in the base game is big. As long as the quality is there, this is already a big win in a time where some companies include 7 tracks and ask for a €45 season pass to up that to 11
If you think 45 or 100 euros a year is a lot for your hobby, maybe you need to reconsider. I know people like you who have more than 1000 euros invested in hardware who complain about spending 50 euros for the game, without which their hardware would be dead .. makes sense....besides i'm not sure how you think game developers are supposed to support themselves and their families. Maybe iracing might be a lot/too much but still, they offer something nobody else does: full lobby at anytime of the day.

@@michael1 There are a lot sim racers (incl me) that don't get to play forza horizon on their rig because they don't have proper wheel and peripheral support (no usb pedal support for instance). And I think simracers are a pretty big part of the public 🤷♂

if modding support is implemented in this game, you dont understand how big it would be, the size of current maps on ac are huge for a very old game, expect modders to produce country sized maps which would be ridiculously good

ACC already has engine damage and punctures so can't see why they couldn't implement some form of failure if you make big mistakes. Even Gran Turismo has engine wear which reduces performance and needs to be services. Not saying they should add coolant lines blowing off or something but shifting from 4th to 2nd by accident and causing damage would be a great feature. Especially to such a focused SIM
I just fucking love how the mirrors are, we can see parts of the cage and the sides of every car, this is something that really bothers me in VR now, and of course VR itself is something that for me is number one in importance, if there wasn´t VR I wouldn´t even bother considering the level of VR in AMS2, I will go further and say I will probably go from my 4070 +5800x3D to a new PC if it is necessary to run ACE in epic level.

I’m looking forward to this game with or without modding. This game will have what AC 1 will never have which is native support for common modded features we love. An open world simulation style physics racing game has never been done at the level they’re pushing so I only wish they can pull it off.
I didn't pay much attention to Assetto Corsa Competizione, because it was GT3 only, and had no serious campaign mode. Evo, however, seems like a huge jump towards something a lot richer, which I will definitely want to keep my eye on. Looks great!
ACC wasn't a sequel to AC, which Evo is, also ACCs career mode is more like driving a GT season. You should check it out though, how focused it is into GT World Challenge ends up being more of a benefit to the game, with all the cars work well with every track, the race weekends are a full and complete experince, and the endurance mechanics such as pit stop strategy and race lenghts are done incredibly well for a single player experince.

Personally I would love to see different drive modes in road cars, one thing I thought FH5 was going to have and I was very excited about and I was completely let down. I have hope AC Evo could do this given their attention to detail. I would love to be driving a car in comfort mode around town and then hop on the highway and flip it into sport/track 😅
I must admit that I am a bit worried that "everything" newly added, might now be a PAID DLC. The one thing that made me get into the early access of AMS2 was the ability to buy the SEASON PASS... So I am praying that this will be an option in AC EVO, otherwise it might be a very expensive exercise. (not a complaint at all - just a possible fact?)
Tbh I just want to enjoy that free driving experience around the ring cause I just love the Eifel an the region around the most beautiful piece of Tarmac on our earth and driving there in real life would mean to me to travel all across the country which is honestly a big pricy so I’m a bit hyped for that open world no mater what

i hope the open world maps not having dynamic wetness and puddle formation is strictly that, and not indicative of a broader simplification of the physics engine in the open world map.
It's because they already have a system for the tracks. They don't have a system for it to work in an open world, dynamically. As far as setting goals for a release, I wouldn't put that at the top of the list. It's always something they can add later.

There is no info yet on the price. My educated guess would be something like 35,99 EUR for Early Access and then 45-49,99 EUR once they go V1.0 later in 2025. But thats really just a guess! -Michel *from this comment section*
