Gets told to flip faster "does the scissor faster" SMACK i the metal handle slaps my thumbnail and i go around hopping and holding my breath. This was very helpful and flipping faster did actually help, a lot.
I started flipping 6 months ago and i've hit that a plateau i just don't know what to learn but from watching this video i think im gonna start working on different transitions like that fan to chocked fan or other transitions just to test new waters. thanks for the motivation ethan
i dont know how ive come across this channel but recently ive been just binging a lot of your vids and this one specifically had such a crazy timing with what im going through i just had to comment about it. i started flipping a good while ago(like maybe 2 and a half years ago) but after about 6 or 7 months of actively flipping(probably everyday honestly) i kind of just couldnt learn anything new cause id give up learning after not being able to instantly understand how a trick went, that mentality really just made me stop flipping for the rest of that year and the one after. recently(like 3 months ago-ish)i picked up the hobby again with a new mindset that i would just pick one trick i really wanted to learn and focus on that untill i could do it consistently beforing diving into anything new,and that id get better before trying these stupidly difficult tricks that i wasnt able to even understand. needless to say this worked cause i learned the choker fan, shortstop with a weird extension thingy and a lot of chaplin variations that i could only really do for 2-3 revs at first.
honestly this goes past just balisong flipping this is just good general life advice. I play guitar and im at a bit of a skill plateu right now where i can play technical stuff really well but i cant play fast like at all.
I think it was articulated well enough to explain it better than I think I could, it's hard to explain the way you have that "aha" moment but this was very well done
I was wondering the same thing when I was recording a video, I always feel like I’m stagnant with my tricks but just throwing random tricks seemed to help me get out of it, awesome vid cam
sometimes you think you plateaued but in realty you have gotten a lot better and you are more prepared to keep climbing and improving at a much faster rate than last time. Sometimes you need a break to just think on what you need to improve even its its just a little you always just need to take it one step at a time. I recently surprised myself with some much better flow and combos i would have never came up with even though i had felt as if my progress had slowed. And after seeing Telestro flipping the mako it also helped me feel better about it being my only flipper atm. Still waiting for the v3 kraken handles to come out separately
Ibanez makes sick guitars, and even the gios are sick. I stuck it out cuz it was my first guitar (my father's a guitarist, and I've played many guitars of many different shapes and sounds) and after all of it I chose ibanez for its neck for sure, dual humbuckers, jumbo frets, anything I liked about the other guitars. I've had the guitar for less than 2 months and I'm very satisfied with it. If your curios it's an rg6003fm. It's the blue flamed maple top. Also I hate maple fretboards lol. Maybe one day I'll disassemble the pickups and spray them white cuz that would look sick.
Good advice mate, currently I am using pretty much near 80% of my brain to do must basic tricks. And another 80% trying to remember what they those tricks are called and how to do them XD

you're telling me that getting over the plateau isn't just buying more and more new knives?
Lol
Instructions unclear, got 4 new balisongs

Gotta walk before you can run, glad you're improving like you want!
I remember my first plateau, that was rough to get out. Great advice!
This was my favorite and also probably the most helpful blade bias video yet. Super interesting topic.
Thanks!
Great advice!! Now I gotta get back to the grind!

That is a big reason I wanted to cover it, and the title is very vague, this is applicable to a lot of other skills and hobbies you can get into!

Wicked Sic topic!!! Excellent talking points. 😀😀😀😀😀😀
this is really helpful since i seem to be stuck in a plateau myself

I have a squiddy and the only tricks I use are the fan, the chap, and random thumb and index rollovers. I don't deserve the squiddy lmao
Ty for wearing socks 🧦
wouldn't it be logistical growth instead of exponential because there is that plateau?
You could argue it'd be logarithmic but the point is that you plateau and then you keep growing after that
5:00 lol
I'm kind of entering a plateau, not of skill, but of tricks. I've run out of new tricks to learn. Anybody got any suggestions?
Learn combos
Learn stringing Ariel’s and chaplins/rollovers together, it’s pretty much the last thing pros learn before they start making new tricks and stuff
@@GringusMcSpangy thanks
Wwwhats up everybody
