Gpu is the most expensive part. My first pc was $899, a 233 mhz cpu, 512k of ram, 8 meg hard drive in the late 90's, what you can get today for $1000 beats that so badly it's not funny. GPU prices suck today so badly.

@@alexa4201 i had a similar thought then, was gonna get the Ryzen 5 2600 at the time since it was on sale when the 3000 series were only a few months old, but i opted for the Ryzen 7 3700 8 core instead, and im glad i made that choice. sure even now in 2022 i haven't played a game that took up 8 cores, but plenty of games use atleast 4, so getting a 6 core would've been ok, but i wanted that extra head room. it allows the CPU to breathe more, and doesn't have to work as hard. when i put on a game the CPU only operates at 58% which is pretty good, if it's a damanding game it'll go up to about 66%, but that's still pretty good. it also helps if you have a decent GPU, which i do have Radeon RX 6600 XT. i got that GPU after upgrading from a gtx 1050ti i had for a long time.

sorry if this is a sorta dumb question but i was wondering what the numbers like 2400x or 3600x mean. like the higher the number the better, right? but what are they referring to?
The first number is the generation, example ryzen 5 2600 mean ryzen 5 gen 2nd, ryzen 7 4800h mean ryzen 7 gen 4th. same with intel too, i3 9100f mean i3 gen 9th. Three numbers after gen is ranking on same generation, ex 3400g, 3550h, 3600, etc. And yes higher the number mean higher performance and newer release time. But in the end of the day better to watch review first, because ryzen ryzen 5 3550h is better than 7 3750h which means all of my explanation isn’t all true
Good info. Thanx.. I'm currently running a Ryzen 5 3600 on a B450F gaming board but have upgraded to a Ryzen 9 5950X. Just having a RAM incompatibility issue.

Since I made the previous comment, I held off on a Ryzen desktop build due to Graphic card pricing😢. I did buy a laptop ,The DELL G5 SE with Ryzen 9 4600H. I am happy with it after some tweaking 😁.
I don't think Ryzen 5 is for gamers anymore as the new consoles will be using ryzen 7 chips so games are going to be developed for systems with 8 cores with 116 threads so if you have less than that you will have a bad time so I would say at a minimum you should get a ryzen 7 cpu for gaming until they update ryzen 5 to use 8 cores.
For some I may agree but the pocketbook of many tends to dictate what one can afford. If your building or buying a high end $2,000 computer yeah R7 could be best choice. But for those of us who are on a tight budget and have to keep cost under $1,000 it's not about biggest and best but what is cheapest and still do the job. Seems the R5 is still capable of doing what it's called on to do at a good price.
@@kenjett2434 I would save the extra 150 as you will have they system for 5 years rather than replacing it in 2 the extra cost will benefit you as modern AAA games are already maxing out 6 core cpu's. @@kevinlind3172 that's fine if you can afford that. But I can't afford a $2,000 plus system and according to testing doesn't improve current gaming but very little. The biggest and most expensive isn't always the best choice. Like I said for most it's the pocketbook that chooses for you. All I want to do is play a few casual games and make and upload some you tube video. I don't need a high end computer to accomplish that. A mid range will do just fine.

please make this video again buy for 2023
Overclocking dose not void the warenty
DOCP in bios will auto oc based on how cool the cpu is...I've seen 4.8ghz with a 2700x on a Coolermaster 612v2.
Way more in depth than I thought it would be. As someone who is currently using an Intel CPU and is looking to try out an AMD processor, this is very helpful. Thanks.
2 vids in and i already love this channel, my knowledge about pc's is getting bigger and bigger thanks to these guys. Props to the girls voice over.
Can we get a updated video for this? This was hell Informative, would like to see a 2021 with the new one coming out.....And this has been a hard one for me since I'm trying to switch to PC
Can't thank enough. Best video Available with great explaination
This was the most useful video about PC Gaming 😊
2040:
Ryzen 3:128 cores,256 threads.
Ryzen 5:256 cores,512 threads
Ryzen 7:384 cores,512 threads
Ryzen 9 900X:768 cores,1536 threads
Ryzen 9 950X:1024 cores,2048 threads
Ryzen Threadripper:4096 cores,8192 threads
In 2041 AMD broke the world record for getting the highest clock speed on a Ryzen 9, Their CPU became the first to ever break the 1 Terahertz mark. It managed to get a speed of 1017 GHz.
am going 10700 because its better than 3700x for the price. Coming from a 7700
500$ for a graphics card man I wish they where only 500$ they are like 1500$ plus
I was not here for gaming. I was here for knowledge!
am happy u said overkill because i just bought a ryzen 7 5700x
It really comes down to whether you have the money or not
Gpu is the most expensive part. My first pc was $899, a 233 mhz cpu, 512k of ram, 8 meg hard drive in the late 90's, what you can get today for $1000 beats that so badly it's not funny. GPU prices suck today so badly.
Perfect!! Thank you so much!!
I'm curious if Ryzen 5 is still the best option to consider today since this review was made a year ago. I'm now thinking of purchasing Ryzen 7 instead as I want to consider a good processor for a long run. Any thoughts?
No thoughts, only the same questions
I have the same thoughts 😭
Which and is great for programming and gaming high performance?
I still have a Intel T5400 from 2006 with (2) 3.16 processors, 32 gigs of ram and a 1060 6 gig GPU that rocks every game at 60 fps!!! Total cost $410 bucks and its still rockin 15 years later!!!!
I'm getting an Origin 5000X, what do you suggest?
Wait till the release of 5000 series on Nov 5th before buying anything.
yes and then theyre sold out everywhere lmao
Great Video !
1:03 actually there's also ryzen threadripper and ryzen threadripper pro
This so educating. I appreciate y’all
I’m here from the future and $500 for a gpu like the 3080 sounds like a dream
Thanks for the nice informative video. I still use an AMD 1055T from 2012 as a day to day driver with Linux. Would like to get an AMD 4650G

sorry if this is a sorta dumb question but i was wondering what the numbers like 2400x or 3600x mean. like the higher the number the better, right? but what are they referring to?
The first number is the generation, example ryzen 5 2600 mean ryzen 5 gen 2nd, ryzen 7 4800h mean ryzen 7 gen 4th. same with intel too, i3 9100f mean i3 gen 9th.
Three numbers after gen is ranking on same generation, ex 3400g, 3550h, 3600, etc.
And yes higher the number mean higher performance and newer release time.
But in the end of the day better to watch review first, because ryzen ryzen 5 3550h is better than 7 3750h which means all of my explanation isn’t all true
The explanation is top notch🔥🔥🔥
You did a wonderful job, Well done 💯Made me think further more. I recommend this video.
Whats the best cpu for gaming, school and light video editing and streaming
Good info. Thanx.. I'm currently running a Ryzen 5 3600 on a B450F gaming board but have upgraded to a Ryzen 9 5950X. Just having a RAM incompatibility issue.
These videos are so helpful, thank you
Hope you get 100K soon!
What's the point of making good cpu's if there's none in stock.
Well explained!
Nice explanation
i just upgraded my external capturing/livestreaming rig from a AMD FX 8350 to a Ryzen 5 3600 not too long ago
i upgraded my Intel Core i3-8145U to a Ryzen 5 3600 (Ima overclock it to 4 ghz)
What a voice and presentation skill.
I knew I made a good choice from the very beginning! Ryzen 5 5600x, here I come.
is ryzen 5 cpu\s recommended for mini pc's
Much appreciation for this video 👍, as My current desktop pc is using the AMD FX3850 but plan on building a Ryzen desktop pc in the coming months. It would be nice for you to do a video on the laptops available with Ryzen cpu's . I own 3 laptops with Intel cpu's but would go for a decent performing laptop with Ryzen.
Ryzen 4000U/H series
Linus did a video with a laptop with an AMD CPU. If you search it, I'm sure you can find it
yea go for a ryzen 4000 series
they beat intel by a lot
@@matthewmcclain1316 ur talking about the asus zephyrus g14 which contains a ryzen 9 4900hs i think
I'm going with the R9 5900x as I think it will cost me less in the long run as I will have it for longer. I like to buy what will cost less over the long run than right now.
I'm going to be buying a nvidia 4070 snd playing cyberpunk2077. Should I get the ryzen 7 or 9 series?
I learned so much. Great vid!
I bought Ryzen 7 3700X yesterday ^.^
Please respond to this what games do you play with it I’m looking to buy a ryzen 7 3700x but I’m not sure if that’s the one I should buy
@@demontanks9485 I still need to get gpu rtx 3060 & I'll be playing Sea Of Thieves,
SIMS 4 & a lot more. I've been playing on ps4 & nintendo before :) I had laptops too, but it's first time I'm building an actual pc 🖥😅
I been running the AMD 5 and its a solid cpu.
ryzwn would be over kill for 3070 ?
I would disagree on the cache part. It was the recipe that made Zen 3/Ryzen 5000 series so good for gaming.
A small question. If i get a CPU without a GPU...even it if it boots it wont how anything right ......so i wont know whether if my graphics card is dead or the CPU is dead .....right ?
Just asking wht best cpu for gtx 1650
Ryzen 7 and 9 are overkill for gaming workloads which is the main focus of your channel but it might be worth mentioning that the reason to get one might be for professional workloads or hobbyists with different needs. I.E. They're not just overpowered processors that nobody needs.
I think she said that. Saying they are more beneficial for workstations rather than just for gaming.
BEST EXPLAINER CHANNEL ON RUclips for building a PC! This came up in my feed while running through benchmark video's while trying to psych myself up for another build. Not sure why this popped in but glad it did, even if only to say thanks for doing the lords work sir, hats off to ya!!!
