Their new naming convention is the reason why you can't easily compare intel to amd apples to apples anymore. For example, the newest midrange laptop chips from both companies. Intel with i5-1235u vs AMD with ryzen5-7520u. Many would think they are comparable since they are the latest; however, the 7520u doesn't run on AMD's latest architecture as it runs on zen2. That is why it tends to be slower than intel's counterpart. A slightly more comparable processor would be ryzen5-5625u or 5600u which is now a year (or two) older now than both 1235u and 7520u.
Great information! I'm a little confused about how the naming convention applies to the 6800H processor, for example. The third digit is a zero, so how does that indicate its Zen architecture status. Is it not?
And what is the difference between plain number (lke 7800) - X (like 7800 X) and - X3D (like 7800 X3D) ?????? And which one is better for Audio processing as opposed to video processing ????????????????
Thank you! I really needed this so I could know what to look for when I need to buy a prebuilt, I already knew about intel and its basics but didn't know about AMD. Thank you for explaining!
What ryzen 5 laptop would you recommend for vidro editors like me? Midrange lang budget. Pinapapili ako ng kuya ko between intel core i3/i5 or ryzen 3/5. So syempre ekis na agad i3 at ryzen 5 and the battleis focused on i5 and ryzen 5.
@@brazz201 I want the the one that suits me better, it´s primarly for gaming and also for normal stuff like web browsing light work and some study, but i want it to be the best for price to performance! what you say bro?
this explanation is only for mobile(laptop) processor for PC or desktop processor its the same as before. let me know if i can help you explain i will reply
I saw only 5 mins of the video and already having a headache, confusion of utmost level and that naming system gave me trauma. Dear AMD please forgive me. I cannot follow your naming convention (and it could be the primary reason I will not go for AMD).
AMD is of Germany, Intel Japan-US. When things are made or design from Germany, it will be top quality as Germans do not make 2nd level tiers as they let other companies handle that part of their products of flooding the market to every class out there while Germans never have an overflow of products keeping things simple of inventory so they can keep building better from what they have.
To anyone looking to buy Intel 13th and 14th gen CPU, DO NOT BUY. There is a high chance that the CPU won’t last due to a manufacturing defect. Proceed on your own risk.
Thank you for explaining the naming convention. Finally, it is clear.

We think that was intentional?
Would both Rysen 7 7520 and and Rysen 5 5626 be Zen2 architecture?

Good Evening Sir Luis 💙🧡
This makes no sense, how can the third digit indicate the architecture when it is often 0? Is there Zen 0 architecture?
Please make this kind of video with graphics cards.
Very informative..thank you
You should’ve told the ‘G’ and ‘X’ suffixes.
Exactly my thoughts...
Thanks for all the info!
There's more than 3 ryzen 7 chips. I've got the ryzen 7 5700x. Now granted I wish I had seen this video before buying it.

For video editing, more cores the better.

Definitely the intel prosecco still better more than Rayzen prosecco ❤❤❤
What do you like better?

Great effort, but AMD is evil.
