Got a like from me for including little helper. Wish somebody would have taught me about cars sooner. Thankfully there are kind strangers like you.
He's a big help in the simplest of ways. Mainly keeping me calm during car issues haha. Glad the video could be of service to you 😀
Great video, helped a lot! She still runnin but ain’t blowing as well as she used to
Glad the video could be of service! AC definitely needed if you have been anywhere near the recent heat waves
Good stuff, thanks for the demo! 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Great and simple!, you did an exceedingly great job!. Thanks!.
Glad to be of service! Appreciate the video feedback
Awesome vid! Ima refill my 03 tacoma today.
The old back of the hand trick😂
Haha your body knows what is hot or cold, appreciate the video comment and good luck with the recharge!
thanks for the tip
Hope the video was helpful!
You’re just adding water to the system. It must be vacuumed. Very easy to understand.
Filled up my 01 today. I didn't even need half of the can it blows super cold now
That's a win in my book!!
Thanks ill try this on my T100 that's not blowing very cold, wish me luck.
Good luck! Needed in this summer heat
Thank you!! I have a T100… and my AC is not blowing cold air. Now I hope when I do this my clutch is good. My ac light won’t even come on 😂🤦🏽♂️😭☠️
Haha glad the video could be helpful, definitely needed in this heat!!
My t100 ac sucks you mind telling me if this works on your t100? Please
@macgaspar2888 it will be the same process for a recharge, just need to locate your low pressure port which may be in a different location
Why doesn't anyone tell you how much PSI they fill it up to not just in my green. That is a large. Range I have filet up cars into the green and it has locked up the compressor.
But soon as I lower the pressure, it starts to work.
And I have burnt up. The clutch on the a c because of it
Ahh this is good to know!
Don't you need a vacuum pump to have more than a half charge?
One thing I like to do is hook up my cheap obd tool and check engine load. The % will come up where both the clutch and compressor are in good order when a/c is switched on. It is possible to have a good clutch on a bad compressor, and this sorts them out [and also any safety pressure switches] as a quick check.
Awesome tip, appreciate this info. Plan to try this out this weekend just to have this as a diagnostic trick moving forward. Thanks again!
I tried and the pressure on the can was way high at 90. But the clutch is not activated. The compressor turns but no clutch
Do you leave the engine running when recharging?
Yes the engine is on and running
Is it the same process for a Honda civic?
Yes, it will be very similar with the low pressure charge point and ac clutch rotation indication
How the disposable AC Freon
Contact your local waste management facility and they should be able to give you the proper location for drop-off
@@EngineeredMojo opps Sorry! I means "How much the disposable AC freon.. sorry. I missing much in my message
@@vonjovi4934 oh like the replacement can? Price for those seem to range around $50 to $60
Hows the AC as of one year since you did this?
Still going strong, luckily whatever leak I had in my system was apparently small. Haven't lost noticeable cooling even in this heat wave occurring in my area
@EngineeredMojo cool I have the same exact year and model Tacoma as yours.
I've been seeing mixed posts from different areas as to whether to recharge at home or at a mechanic's shop.
I'm going to give this a try. I think my truck has not had a recharge ever. especially since it's always been a south Florida truck. I think it's due.
@pauloramirez8216 definitely worth a try, can is not too expensive
