I am a crafter and I actually work at Harbor Freight...ya know it is funny I have been there for 5 yrs and I yet haven't bought a rolling cart...that is next on my list..honestly I do love all the storage items we have. I do think we discontinued the revolving tray rack. I actually have the wooden workbench in my livingroom, I stained it darker and it looks very farmhouse. One thing you may not have noticed is in the paint isle we have replacement blades for the rug cutter which are round and fit a rotary cutter and are way cheaper than your craft stores.
My husband passed away 2018 and I have all his tools and tool boxes and have not gone into his room yet but have everything all set up with all of his supplies in them I’m so blessed and will be going in soon I pray Thank you for sharing this with me
Can't forget the 4 tier round metal storage revolving stand that was so highly sought after years ago! I spray painted mine Tiffany Blue and stored paints and mixed media supplies in each tray.
I love Harbor Freight. If you sign up for their rewards program and give your email you get coupons sent by mail and email. Most newspaper coupon inserts have coupons for Harbor Freight in them. I use the free item with purchase coupons to get carabiner clips. They are great for holding washi rolls.
I have purchased and still use [at Harbor Freight]: round revolving tool tray, microfiber cloths, magnetic bowls To hold teeny, tiny dies ; and small paint brushes. I use the paint brushes for ink blending when a light touch is desired. You can ALWAYS get a coupon to use if you go online. Look around your husband's work space to see how he uses his "toys... a tools" . Then go back to HF. It is an amazingly fun place to shop for a crafter.
So glad to find a craft video with alternative solutions for storage. My whole craft room is made up of seville classic units, they are more for tool storage and garage storage , but they are awesome for a craft room. They are super sturdy, lots of drawers , some shallow , some deep , and they even have wall units and large tall storage cabinets. Mine are stainless steel, with wooden tops and I also have one unit that has a desk with drawers and a built in peg board with light and electrical outlet strip. Most of my pieces were purchased from Sam's Club or on line and most were given to me from my husband and family as gifts! I have always loved the industrial look and these cabinet units will hold up for a long time. I also get organizational items from the hardware stores, they are always more reasonably priced than any craft store and usually more sturdy to boot. I began using a fishing tackle container for my art supplies when I was in college back in the early 80s waaaaaaaayyyy before that was a trendy thing to do. As a child I often visited my dad's wood workshop in the basement and helped him with projects and I still love tools and tool storage items, plus the smell of newly cut wood. thanks for the video, I hope a lot of viewers will consider this type of storage, it will last for years and is so versatile and sturdy and very affordably priced.
Love harbor freight..I've gotten things when my sewing room was just a sewing room. Lol, their magnetic metal bowl on it is good for pins and cheaper than buying it at joann's fabric store or sewing dept. Could use it when using SMALL dies, put in there till ready to put away. I also use their soft tool bag. Alot of pockets. Storage boxes are great. It's not just for men..😁 We can find alot of uses those items.🤔. Thanks for the tour
I love that metal bowl and their soft bags. I love when people assume that hardware stores are for men. You should see the face of those people when my husband says.. "talk to her, she is the one we are here for"🤣
Laura Martin oh my gosh, YES on the magnetic trays! I have several of those that I scatter about my crafting spaces... dies, pins and needles for sewing, findings and scrap wire from jewelry making! Totally forgot about those!
I still have my kaboodle that I bought when I was in 9th grade!!! So that’s 35 years ago. This is a great video and we have a Harbor Freight in our town.
I had one that I carried to crops; it had all my small tools in it. Then it dropped on the ground and shattered. Bought another one that’s still going strong. I probably paid too much b/c I didn’t know about HF 10 years ago.
I just discovered this store myself. I'm a crafter and woodworker, and this store is heaven for me. I can't wait to check it out in person. Thanks for the video!
My favorite re-used item is a spinning CD/VHS holder. It has 4 shelves on two sides, and is made of wood, so it looks nice. I store 6 x 6 paper pads, card bases and envelopes, and it sits behind my desk, so I can just grab what I need! Harbor Freight is a great place!
I bought small plastic tool boxes for different crafts - I have one for my sewing supplies, instead of a basket; one for tatting; one for lace making supplies, and one for my embroidery tools. It makes it easy to separate my tools by type and I no longer have problems finding things
I use my 1945 walnut kitchen hutch with a pull down desk for my art area in my kitchen. I loved seeing all these storage options because I plan on buying some soon thanks for the video.🌹
I've used Harbor Freight and products meant for tools in my craft space for decades. And my HF is right next door to Joann's which makes me wonder if you're in or near Woodland Hills, CA. I have a 24-section that my letters and numbers have been in forever. I have another used for sewing notions. Machine needles in one, hand needles in another, head pins, ball point pins, crochet needles... I use one of the heavy-duty tool bags when taking my Cuddlebug and plates to/from crops, I have 14"x4"x2" long narrow plastic parts bins on shelves; I just pull out the bin I want to use and it fits along the side of my workspace and they really hold a lot of supplies. I store all my alcohol inks in one, sprays/mists in another, re-inkers, pigment inks, and for dye based ink pads I have three of these broken down by color families: neutrals/browns/yellows/oranges, reds/pinks/purples, and blues/greens. Would love to meet you if you're in my area, thanks for all your videos, I know they take a lot of prep and time to create and provide them.
I’ve had a Craftsman tool chest for organizing my embroidery supplies for years, it’s perfect! The shallow drawers at the top are perfect for floss storage and the deeper drawers hold fabric and hoops.
So many great storage options!! I adore that white tool cart!! That would look so awesome in a craft room!! Thanks so much for sharing these ideas we may not have thought to seek out!!
I got a fish hook storage box that is great for putting in alphabet letters so each letter has it's own place. I can die cut all the letters and they're small enough to fit in the small spaces where fish hooks go. The plastic is sturdier than the bead storage things in the craft store. Plus each little section has it's own removable divider so you can adjust the size to fit in some die cut words. Clear plastic so it works anywhere!
I love Harbor 💞 Freight! I bought canvas tote for my tools and one for crafts. Love it. I could go crazy in this store. So many unique storage solutions! Thanks so much!
Haha forgot about Harbor Freight! This was my Dad & brother’s favorite store. Both have since passed so when we went through their things I inherited many of those toolbox type storage boxes. Wish I had room for one of those rolling metal tool boxes. My best purchase was the Dreambox from Createroom. It is huge (9 feet long and 6 feet tall) and totally customizable. TYFS ❤️🦋💜
I have been using 4 Five drawer Craftsman tool chests to hold my craft/tools for years and they work great and still look brand new. Also purchased 2 of the Harbor Freight Workbenches (drawers do not open fully) and several of their organizational items. Great place for crafters!
I have a Husky large tool box (from Home Depot) that I got from my parents for Christmas a couple years ago to go into my craft room. I LOVE it!!! I have one of those magnetic paper towel holders (Harbor Freight) on one side of it and a magnetic shelf (HF) on the other side of it. The top has like a counter top wood covering and that's where I have my guillotine cutter, my Sidekick die cutter and my large score board. The Husky has 9 drawers all together and its on casters that you can lock. Its in basic black but I love it. I got a magnetic dry erase roll from Amazon and labeled all my drawers for easier organization. You can find a lot of neat things for crafting in Harbor Freight. They have the Wagner heating tool so when mine finally bites the dust (doesn't seem to be happening any time soon) I'm getting me one of those.
Last Christmas I got two Craftsman tool chests one 7 drawer with 2 huge ones on the bottom, and another large one and a wooden top, and it came with a power cord, like a surge protector, built in which is fantastic, the other smaller was a 2 fer as there was a smaller chest on top which is portable, that came with it. Got the big one at Lowe's had a great sale on them plus addition % off for veterans, and the other was like $100.00 at Ace. They are great. The smaller one holds all my watercolor paper and miscelleanous stuff. So if you are thinking about getting a rolling chest go for it. I checked HF but Lowe's and Ace beat their price and they were Craftman. I do appreciate the things you saw at Harbor freight will have to check it out when i am in town later or when the smoke lifts.
I have the black and yellow 12” box and I’ve had it for years. I put all of my sawing things in it. I don’t saw very often but when I need to it’s there in one container. Love your videos
I bought a 4 drawer rolling toolbox and I bought the wooden board to put on top giving it a touch of "class". My husband mounted my heat press on it and I bought a second for my silhouette cameo. The drawers are great for storing vinyl, HVT rolls and scrapbook paper that it too heavy for other storage drawers. I love them
I just got a 9 drawer rolling tool chest from Harbor Freight to hold my scrapbooking/card making punches. Best investment I ever made. Shallow drawers so everything is in a single layer and it has a wooden top where I use my die cutting machine. It is awesome!!!
I love Harbor Freight! I have several of the smaller plastic organizers and have toyed with the idea of investing in one of the larger tool drawer systems. They also have rock tumblers and smaller tools like picks and files. Thank you for sharing this information.
Thanks for the video. I also love Harbor Freight shopping. I purchased a grommet set at Joanns only realizing that I needed a large setting tool also to go with them so all-in-all was not a bargain. A few weeks later I was browsing around Harbor Freight and found the same size grommets with the setting tool for mere pennies in comparison sew look for your glomitts there if you need large ones.
I have forgotten about Harbor Freight. When I first started crafting, years ago, I picked up a couple of the soft black bags to use for holding tools. Now I have tons more stuff and need to go back to check out storage while I am redoing my craft room. I especially think I need a peg board. Thanks for the great video. Thumbs up and subscribed.
I know this video is 8 months old, BUT I wanted to mention a few things about HF stores. Almost weekly they offer a coupon for a % off - mainly 25%, but I’ve seen higher! One of my BEST finds/deals are magnetic bowls!! I was CONSTANTLY losing my small die pieces - NO MORE! They are SUPER strong and work excellent! Especially when clipping those pesky snips when separating die pieces from manufacturing! I bought 2 of them a few weeks ago for $1.19 each. That was one steal of a deal! Thanks for the ideas! 😊
Great video, Elisa. Thanks for featuring Harbor Freight. I bought one of the canvas rigger's bags last fall, painted it (each pocket a different color), then did different Zentangle on each pocket, and I use it for my morning faith time: It holds my Bible, journals, devotional booklets, prayer books, etc., plus there is lots of room for markers, pens, and my reading glasses. I can carry it around to wherever I want to sit in the morning. I love it, and what a great price!
Their magnetic parts trays are wonderful. I use them for my straight pin storage. My hubby painted one red with white polka dots. They are extremely inexpensive compared to the ones us quilters buy for our pins. Then too, the have extension magnets on an expanding/collapsible rod really nice for picking up pins that drop on the floor or your metal bobbins that get legs and run off the counter. It is one of my favorite places to shop. Take a look and be pleasingly surprized!
Girl, Yes, I have been going to Hardware stores as a Crafter and seeing what items can make Crafting exciting in so many ways. I have a Harbor Freight in my city also. Their utility ✂️ are always a great by and great to stock up on. You can put several in your Craft Room/ Area and also in different places around the house. You definitely have the right idea, I love the way that you think!!🤗😊👍🤩
I got a used dresser and made into a pressing station and it has tons of storage for lots of stuff. It has small drawers and larger ones. Best $50 ever for me. I use old tv stands (tall ones) for aquarium/terrarium stands. Nice and tall- perfect for viewing. Armoires work really well too. And I use a vinyl over the door shoe organizer for my fabric pre-cuts and binding but it works great for anything. I also have a few display items from retail store closings that are really versatile
@@ScrappyWife Not always, this store is just a great place you have found, key tip for all your fans. They always have a 20% off coupon which you can get from their mailer or go.harborfreight.com/coupons/ or a page called struggleville.net/harbor-freight-20-off-coupon/ his site has links to free items when they have them as well. Happy crafting.
Many items that are higher priced for women are actually specially engineered for women, like razors. No one is stopping you from purchasing men's razors, but you might not like shaving with them. I wouldn't automatically assume that items sold to women are automatically priced higher without finding out more of the back story, like is it *really* the same product that is sold to men? Also, for storage items, I would shop around. Sometimes the craft stores have sales, sometimes Walmart has bins for a good price.
Renee 42 some things are, most aren’t. I mean I totally slammed Fisher Price for charging sometimes as much as TEN DOLLARS more for the exact same toy with the only difference being color. Their smart vacuum does the same thing, whether it’s pink or blue. Same goes for all sorts of things like their little push popper thing, shape sorters, rattles... They price those things based on color alone. This garbage starts in infancy and never stops. If you don’t believe me look it up. Pink tax is very real.
Ummm a razor is a razor at the end of the day. Whether they are making it for a man or a woman, the costing is the same. They just change the color and make it look pretty. The same goes for a lot of products. They cost the same to make. Honestly the pink tax needs to go...it is just crazy. The same containers would be charged crazy high if they were targeting women and if they were better colors lol.
I was just in Harbor Freight this morning! The $100 workbench is definitely on my list. They also have some really great carts for around $50 - $80 as an alternative to those sold in Michaels. Love this store!
Love harbor freight. All my tools are separated by craft in the yellow and black tool boxes. Clay, glass, scrapping, etc. if I’m working on a project place my tools on the handled section and place at my work station. When I go to classes I just pick the related tool box and go. I invested in tool sets for each so they’re always ready. Got their drill press for making holes in glass etc. my go to place for most things including mallets etc. u will love it
Hi Elisa... I'm just finding this video in June, as I am attempting to organize a craft room in my home. Thank you for the different perspective on Harbor Freight. Sometimes seeing something through fresh eyes and open your own. So many tools for organization. Also, I'm not sure if you are aware, but if you can get on the mailing list, you can receive their sales catalogs in your mailbox. This little booklet is FULL of coupons and items featured at reduced pricing. Also, there is always a coupon for 20% off any item in the store. That would come in handy. We used to get these. Not sure why we haven't seen one in a while, but I will be looking into that right soon. Again, thank you!
I love Harbor Freight! its been "my Michael's " for years! 1. I got a heat tool for 9.99 compared to 39.99 at the craft store 2. I got a dremil with attachments for 9.99 compared to 49.99 at Home Depot 3. My husband loves Harbor Freight so he is happy to wander the aisles with me for as long as I want and finds great deals for me.
I buy stuff from HF all the time, my favorite item is the 6 tray revolving stand they sell for $20. I have tons of those clear organizers for beads, a couple black and yellow organizers for polymer clays and tools, and several parts bins to organize polymer clay blocks and acrylic paints.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Harbor Freight!!! I almost always buy out their supply of those 25-piece boxes. I use them for sorting/storing beads and jewelry findings, sequins, rhinestones, my diamonds for diamond painting.... the possibilities are ENDLESS! Being small, they are very easily transportable, and far and away are my favorites! I also have one of the canvas portable tool boxes, and if I ever get to do retreats again am considering getting these as a gift for my attendees... you can stuff it full of tissues, lip balm, hand cream, all sorts of goodies for a very small price! Sign up for their catalogs and specials, the great deals get even better! They also have small pliers, flush cutters, etc that I use in jewelry making, and you can find things like picks, general purpose scissors, etc that again are such a bargain that if it's ruined it's not a big issue... just go get another one!
Thanks for all the great ideas. We have a HF store about 50 miles away. Years ago I bought the canvas riggers bag for $10 and it is my go to and grab bag for painting and art journaling. I modified it by opening up a few of the little pockets (there’s many!) to hold smaller loose items and there’s still a ton of room for sketchbooks, water bottle, towel, phone/camera, etc. I did plan on permanent ink drawings on the outside filled with washes of acrylics...but haven’t done it yet. Now I’m thinking of one of those drawer units on wheels😊I paid a lot of money for a couple storage units from Michaels that were a pain to assemble and really aren’t that strong.
We have gone to Harbor Freight for tools, storage ideas, and items door sewing and other crafting. I've found dental tools that can be used in sewing and embroidery projects, lights that you can wear to brighten up your projects, and so on. The best part is the staff members are very helpful and haven't laughed at any reason I have given for looking for a particular item.
Like you I love finding other uses for "hardware stuff"! Two items very helpful are the magnetic sticks (to pick up pins) and a "grab it" stick( very cheap). Thanks for your tips!!!
I have 4 of the multi-drawer US General tool chests for my craft supplies. I love them! I can roll them around wherever I want to craft. They hold a ton of stuff and you can attach magnetic hooks on the outside to hang your most often used crafting tools.
I have a magnet bar from them that I have all my scissors on and a three teir tower I got super cheap. Although I have not been there recently. May need to revisit soon.
Our water heater flooded my craft room (among other things) and a lot of the wood furniture has to be replaced. Thanks for showing all of the budget-friendly, awesome organization solutions. We will definitely be taking a trip out to our Harbor Freight once the demo/renovation is complete.
I never even thought of that possibility, but that is a good idea to avoid wood. I will be changing our basement into a large craft space in the next couple of years, and I will keep that in mind.
Our basement flooded a few years ago when I was away on vacation, when my sons saw the water pouring through the basement walls my oldest son started moving out the family room furniture. My youngest son told his brother, "forget the furniture save Mom's craftroom" and they did. Still makes me laugh and I'm grateful they know me so well. Hope your renovation goes well.
I’m not really a crafter, but, I just started Diamond Painting and I did go to Harbor Freight for the plastic containers that you showed with the 24 containers, love them! You have helped me get my inspiration going for more projects and storage help, thank you!
Been married 55 years. Date nite was Harbor Freight and Lowes. DIY projects on a 4000 sq ft house I’ve lived in for 63 years definitely requires lots of nuts and bolts!!! There have been lots of switch outs and trade outs between spouse and I. Now that our nine kids have left the nest we are reconfiguring rooms to specific “titled” creative stations.
@@ScrappyWife my kiddo kids’ significant others thank us for teaching our kids how to build because they have saved thousands on their own homes! DIYers all of them
I am a tool/wood worker & sewing & craft person and I've browsed hardware departments for years to that I can avoid the typical crafter storage solutions because of the jacked up prices. I've not been in a HF store in ages. Thanks for the REMINDER - I've got my eye on the wood workbench!! My oldest daughter (now 39-ish) is a fabric/fiber arts & craft artist (she teaches and exhibits). When she was in high school & college, she had multiple tool boxes that she painted to personalize. The long, shallow metal boxes are especially great for artist paint brushes (and knitting needles!!) Her favorite one, as a traveling instructor/ teacher, is a multi-level/stackable unit ("plastic") with wheels and extendable handle.
Great walk through video. I have 2 of the tool boxes from Harbor Freight . I store all my wood mount stamps & a bunch of other craftitems. It’s a great storage/organization solution. It was my husband idea. I love it. TFS. 💜💜💜
I have been buying organizer in Harbors for years. Now the secret is out. I love the box with all the mini box. Great for organizing beads and finding. Thanks for sharing.
We don't have Harbour Freight here, but i do get lots of my crafting needs from hardware stores. I find it insane the difference in prices for basically the same items in a hardware store compared to say for instance Michael's just because of the color or store name. Great way to save money on organization needs for other supply needs.
I have to stop putting off a trip to Harbor Freight. I've been curious for awhile. My quirky hardware storage hack was a Bucket Boss. It's a canvas storage do-hicky that straps onto a 5 gallon paint bucket. Several pockets on the outside, and there are inserts (sold separately) to put inside to give stacked storage. I didn't have those. There is even a lid that serves as a (rather uncomfortable) seat. At least the one I bought decades ago was uncomfortable. But I was young and resilient at the time.😄😄 It's where I stored my sewing supplies when I was young and broke...and resilient.😉 I just looked online and they are still available, although the colors are different. Mine was royal blue, I think. It's a handy multi-functional item. Although probably not to everyone's taste, it's worth giving it a look. Thanks for jogging my memory. I had forgotten about it.
Because my husband likes to tinker, we have gone to Harbor Freight for a number of years. Aside from the organizational items, don't overlook it if you need hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, safety gear, gloves, heat gun, scissors, microfiber cloths, magnetic bowls to hold pins, and anything else you might find in a hardware store. I am not a tool connoisseur, but it is my understanding that some of their tool selection are pretty good quality. They always have good coupons too. An interesting thing about Harbor Freight as a company is back at the beginning of the COVID outbreak, when medical centers and doctors found themselves scrambling to find PPE, Harbor Freight donated a huge amount of masks, gloves, etc. to providers in need. I was very proud of them for joining in the effort so quickly.
I use the small 25 piece clear storage for my Diamonds Painting. It keeps the “diamonds” contained & easily viewed, each container clips tightly closed, so no spills. I mark each container with the letters & numbers of each color, no mixed diamonds.
I love HARBOR FREIGHT! MY LAST PURCHASE THERE WAS A MECHANIC'S STOOL... Above the wheels it has a tray to put tools, it swivels and is very comfortable. I paid $10.00 a few years ago.
Whoops. Forgot this tip. Get some bumpy rubber mats (comes in rolls) for shelves to keep things from rolling around in the drawers - BUT - More fun is to use the craft foam sheets that come in a variety of colors. They provide a good contrast in "dark" drawers to locate specific tools. Small foam pieces can also be placed inside plastic drawers, at the front as labels, for visual identification of contents.
My to-go crafting kit is a Voyager small zip-top bag from Harbor Freight for my light tools or fragile items. My heavier items and larger tools go in a .50cal ammo can that I purchased from an Army surplus store for a couple bucks. If you're looking for that kind of stuff, do check out military surplus stores. They are a wealth of useful items for really great prices!
Great video! I loved the $100 cart with peg board. You could also use that in a kitchen! I have a big yellow, black and metal tool box that used to have junk in it, but im going to use it to store glue guns, staplers, adhesives, and other bits and bobs.
The Harbor Freight soft sided rolling tool bag is what I use to take either my Singer 301a or Janome sewing machine to class in. Works great and there's still plenty of room to also carry other sewing supplies inside as well.
Wow! What a great video. I know I am very behind on your videos. I was just browsing and decided to check out what Ideas you have for Harbor Freight. This is my husband's favorite store. Thank you for doing this. You have given me great inspiration. Keep up the good work~!!
My hubby works at a Hardware store here in Australia - I've been using all this stuff from the beginning, never used anything storage wise from a craft store!
A bit off subject but my hair stylist bought a big rooling tool chest (larger than the ones you showed), painted it turquoise and put shelf liner on the fronts of the drawers to match. It sits at her station and holds all her supplies!
At Harbor Freight I actually found long metal magnets. Great in a garage for holding a ton of different things, but for crafts you can mount it under a wall cabinet and add small magnets to the top of your jars and you can store your tiny stuff, also since it's a magnet you can mount on wall and have all your craft knives on it. I think I paid less than 5.00. I bought it to mount in my kitchen and hang my knives however I ended up using it when I work on my car it's the perfect size for reaching down and grabbing anything that falls into the engine area.
I discovered harbor freight when someone mentioned their rotary blades for cutting fabric. Theirs is for cutting carpet and its waaayy cheaper than fiskars and wescott. My local store was sold out but i saw so many amazing goodies were there. My unexpected craft piece is a shoe storage from closet mate. It has 15 little cubbies and you and put so many things in there
I am a crafter and I actually work at Harbor Freight...ya know it is funny I have been there for 5 yrs and I yet haven't bought a rolling cart...that is next on my list..honestly I do love all the storage items we have. So awesome...thanks for the extra tip!
My husband passed away 2018 and I have all his tools and tool boxes and have not gone into his room yet but have everything all set up with all of his supplies in them
I’m so blessed and will be going in soon I pray
Thank you for sharing this with me
Praying for you as you step into this new phase!

My mind was blown by all great storage solutions. I had to restrain myself when I was there.
Right!?! Me too!
I bought 3 big black Husky rolling toolboxes 5 years ago. Best thing ever for all of my heavy punches!
Great punch storage!
Can't forget the 4 tier round metal storage revolving stand that was so highly sought after years ago! I spray painted mine Tiffany Blue and stored paints and mixed media supplies in each tray.
I actually didn't see that in store, but I do remember lots of crafters picking that up a while back!
They actually discontinued that product 🙁

Yup - can’t get it anymore - retired. Silly!
@@ebriggs3498-why would they “ retire” such an useful item?
I've been addicted to Harbor Freight for many years. Nice to see they have so many options for organization! Thanks for the reminder.
You bet!

I love the idea of the magnetic bowl. I'll be looking for one of those for sure.

Good idea!
I can never get them closed again! Lol
I used to do that too, but they started to fall apart too quickly.
I just discovered this store myself. I'm a crafter and woodworker, and this store is heaven for me. I can't wait to check it out in person. Thanks for the video!
Have fun!
I use a tool bench for my scrap room table. Found on clearance at Home Depot.
Great idea!
That sounds awesome!
I bought small plastic tool boxes for different crafts - I have one for my sewing supplies, instead of a basket; one for tatting; one for lace making supplies, and one for my embroidery tools. It makes it easy to separate my tools by type and I no longer have problems finding things
It is such a great idea to organize by different types of crafts because you have everything you needed gathered together.
I use my 1945 walnut kitchen hutch with a pull down desk for my art area in my kitchen. I loved seeing all these storage options because I plan on buying some soon thanks for the video.🌹
That is awesome!
That is so interesting that yours is next to JoAnns as well! Nope, I am in Virginia!
ScrappyWife What a coincidence, wow!
I’ve had a Craftsman tool chest for organizing my embroidery supplies for years, it’s perfect! The shallow drawers at the top are perfect for floss storage and the deeper drawers hold fabric and hoops.
That is awesome!
So many great storage options!! I adore that white tool cart!! That would look so awesome in a craft room!! Thanks so much for sharing these ideas we may not have thought to seek out!!
You are so welcome! And I definitely have my eye on that white tool cart. I just got a new cart for my basement, but this one is calling my name!
ScrappyWife, does it come fully assembled? I’m going to see where my nearest Harbor Freight is! This cart makes me smile!!
So great! Love that crafters are wonderful at finding different storage solutions!
I love Harbor 💞 Freight! I bought canvas tote for my tools and one for crafts. Love it. I could go crazy in this store. So many unique storage solutions! Thanks so much!
I agree...lots of smart options!
My creative juices are always flowing in this store.
TYFS ❤️🦋💜
Those Dreamboxes are beautiful, but definitely quite the investment. So glad that you love yours!
Harbor Frieght is my favorite place to shop for sewing storage!!
Nice!!!
I have been using 4 Five drawer Craftsman tool chests to hold my craft/tools for years and they work great and still look brand new. Also purchased 2 of the Harbor Freight Workbenches (drawers do not open fully) and several of their organizational items. Great place for crafters!
Love it! SO functional!
Nice! Didn't realize they had those!
Sounds like you found some great deals!
Wait until Christmas sales to buy the tool chests. You will save a ton!
Thanks fo the tip!
I have the black and yellow 12” box and I’ve had it for years. I put all of my sawing things in it. I don’t saw very often but when I need to it’s there in one container. Love your videos
It's always great to find a system that works for you.
I love them
That is awesome!
I just got a 9 drawer rolling tool chest from Harbor Freight to hold my scrapbooking/card making punches. Best investment I ever made. Shallow drawers so everything is in a single layer and it has a wooden top where I use my die cutting machine. It is awesome!!!
I think the shallow drawers are my favorite part. They work so well with craft supplies!
I love Harbor Freight! I have several of the smaller plastic organizers and have toyed with the idea of investing in one of the larger tool drawer systems. They also have rock tumblers and smaller tools like picks and files. Thank you for sharing this information.
Love that there are so many great option there!
Thanks for the tip!!
This was an eye opener, and this info is greatly appreciated!!!❤️❤️❤️
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for watching! And subscribing 💕
Thanks for sharing your tips!
That is awesome!
I learned about Harbor Freight a few years ago, but did not realize they sold larger storage pieces!! This was a great tour!!
Thanks! And yes, it’s a great place for big pieces!
Love it!!!
Nice! I will totally check out those scissors!
Love all the awesome finds you have! Crafters are so great at adapting what they already have!
It’s called the “Pink Tax” where things targeted to women are priced higher. There is a Harbor Freight near me, I’m going to check it out!
Yup. Same thing goes for anything marked "wedding". Always more expensive!
I was just there this morning!! They have great stuff! The US GENERAL comes in Lime GREEN at the Valdosta GA store!
So cool! The colors were so surprising to me!
I was just in Harbor Freight this morning! The $100 workbench is definitely on my list. They also have some really great carts for around $50 - $80 as an alternative to those sold in Michaels. Love this store!
It is a great store to find some deals for sure!
Got their drill press for making holes in glass etc. my go to place for most things including mallets etc. u will love it
What a great way to keep everything organized. And perfect for going to classes!
Love Harbor Freight. Got the bigger tool box that has drawers all the way to the flour for my Birthday last year. Love love love it.
That is awesome!
Good tips!
I have two big tool boxs for my craft supplys and I want to add more love the so much. Thank you for showing more storage solutions
You are welcome - lots of great finds here!
Those are good ideas. Never thought about going to a hardware store. Thank you
You bet!
Awesome idea. Never thought about using tool boxes for organizing crafts. Thanks😉💕
You are very welcome!
Great ideas. I have all of the colorful $199.99 toolboxes in my craft room. I love them.
That is so awesome! I love the color!
Great "outside the box" thinking!! No pun intended 😉
Good one!
Haha...loved the pun! 🤣
I love Harbor Freight! its been "my Michael's " for years!
1. I got a heat tool for 9.99 compared to 39.99 at the craft store
2. I got a dremil with attachments for 9.99 compared to 49.99 at Home Depot
3. My husband loves Harbor Freight so he is happy to wander the aisles with me for as long as I want and finds great deals for me.
All great plusses for visiting this store!
I buy stuff from HF all the time, my favorite item is the 6 tray revolving stand they sell for $20. I have tons of those clear organizers for beads, a couple black and yellow organizers for polymer clays and tools, and several parts bins to organize polymer clay blocks and acrylic paints.
Such great finds!
Awesome! Good to know that another crafter has tested all these out! Thanks for the great review 💕
I think pieces designed for hardware are a great option!
Found out about Harbor Freight a couple of years ago. LOVE this shop. Best prices . Thanks for sharing all the lovely ideas. God bless. 💕💕
Thanks for watching!
I store my cricut in a plastic tool box. The cord and tools are kept in the lift out tray. It's perfect!
Nice! Good solution!
Haha, us crafters always have unusual questions for sure!
Like you I love finding other uses for "hardware stuff"! Two items very helpful are the magnetic sticks (to pick up pins) and a "grab it" stick( very cheap). Thanks for your tips!!!
A grab it stick sounds fantastic!
I have 4 of the multi-drawer US General tool chests for my craft supplies. I love them! I can roll them around wherever I want to craft. They hold a ton of stuff and you can attach magnetic hooks on the outside to hang your most often used crafting tools.
Love it! Did you opt for a color?
Love Harbor Frieght!
I am a new big fan!
Really great ideas that r more affordable tgan most stores !! Plus a few unique ones as well.
Definitely!!
I have a magnet bar from them that I have all my scissors on and a three teir tower I got super cheap. Although I have not been there recently. May need to revisit soon.
I've heard about that tower, but didn't see it in store this time.
Such great ideas and especially from somewhere I never would’ve went or thought of. Thank you so much
Tons of great organization opportunities for sure!
That is awesome! Happy to help!
Congratulations on 55 years - so amazing! Sounds like you all have enjoyed working on your home together over the years.
Yes! I love the idea of painting and customizing the toolboxes!
Thanks for the video! Our town just got a harbor freight- excited to tag along with my husband next time
Nice! I hope you find some awesome supplies!
Great walk through video. I have 2 of the tool boxes from Harbor Freight . I store all my wood mount stamps & a bunch of other craftitems. It’s a great storage/organization solution. It was my husband idea. I love it. TFS. 💜💜💜
These would be perfect for wood mount stamps for sure!
Love This Craft Organizational Guide to Harbor Freight Girl!
Another good one is there
18 In. Magnetic Tool Holder
Cost $4.79 great for craft tools.
Awesome thank you!
I have been buying organizer in Harbors for years. Now the secret is out. I love the box with all the mini box. Great for organizing beads and finding. Thanks for sharing.
It's a great place to find storage solutions!
If you keep your yes on sales. HF will have those larger metal tool chest on sale through out the year. Love it!
Good to know!
We don't have Harbour Freight here, but i do get lots of my crafting needs from hardware stores. I find it insane the difference in prices for basically the same items in a hardware store compared to say for instance Michael's just because of the color or store name. Great way to save money on organization needs for other supply needs.
Yup! Plus, if you want a fun color, spray paint will work wonders 😉
But I was young and resilient at the time.😄😄
It's where I stored my sewing supplies when I was young and broke...and resilient.😉
I just looked online and they are still available, although the colors are different. Mine was royal blue, I think.
It's a handy multi-functional item.
Although probably not to everyone's taste, it's worth giving it a look.
Thanks for jogging my memory. I had forgotten about it.
Nice! Sounds like a good storage solution!
That is so great to hear!
I use the small 25 piece clear storage for my Diamonds Painting. It keeps the “diamonds” contained & easily viewed, each container clips tightly closed, so no spills. I mark each container with the letters & numbers of each color, no mixed diamonds.
Great use for that piece!
I love HARBOR FREIGHT!
MY LAST PURCHASE THERE WAS A MECHANIC'S STOOL...
Above the wheels it has a tray to put tools, it swivels and is very comfortable.
I paid $10.00 a few years ago.
Nice! What a great find!
I love the idea of the foam sheets for a surprise pop of color!
I have the wooden one and love it!!!
Awesome!
I use the wooden work Ben h as my ironing table. My husband put wheels on the bottom so it’s easier to move when needed.
That is awesome!
I use the canvas rigger bag for bible journaling. It's been perfect l ..great on the go.
Great idea!
I love this store! Thanks for sharing this!
Thanks for watching! Glad it was helpful!
I love the clear box with the 24 little containers. I have 6 or 7 for sequins and small beads.
Perfect for those small pieces!
Great tip, thanks for sharing!
Great video! I loved the $100 cart with peg board. You could also use that in a kitchen!
I have a big yellow, black and metal tool box that used to have junk in it, but im going to use it to store glue guns, staplers, adhesives, and other bits and bobs.
Toolboxes come in so handy!
Great find on storage
Right?!? I was pleasantly surprised at how much I found.
I got the work bench and spray painted it! I use it for my Cricut and heat press and love it!!!!
That is awesome!
I already have a few things in my craft room from harborfrieght. Can't beat their prices that's for sure!!!
Such great deals!
I have that workbench it’s amazing!
Nice!!!
The Harbor Freight soft sided rolling tool bag is what I use to take either my Singer 301a or Janome sewing machine to class in. Works great and there's still plenty of room to also carry other sewing supplies inside as well.
That is good to know! I am looking for a rolling bag to travel with at Christmas, so I will look into that one.
Wow! What a great video. I know I am very behind on your videos. I was just browsing and decided to check out what Ideas you have for Harbor Freight. This is my husband's favorite store. Thank you for doing this. You have given me great inspiration. Keep up the good work~!!
Thanks so much! Hope you find some helpful items next time you go!
My hubby works at a Hardware store here in Australia - I've been using all this stuff from the beginning, never used anything storage wise from a craft store!
Thanks for sharing!!
I have a 4 drawer tool box, I bought from lowes on sale and I have my Heat press on it and all the vinyl and cricket things in the drawers.
Awesome!
A bit off subject but my hair stylist bought a big rooling tool chest (larger than the ones you showed), painted it turquoise and put shelf liner on the fronts of the drawers to match. It sits at her station and holds all her supplies!
Love that!!!
I got a rolling plastic tool box for all my adult coloring supplies at Walmart for $30-$35. Still one of my favorite storage ideas!
Nice!!! Good find!
Genius idea!
It has 15 little cubbies and you and put so many things in there
Nice find!
