I actually spend more money at HF than my husband. Like you said, if something is marketed towards crafters, there is a huge markup. The only downside is, they are not as pretty than the same products sold at craft stores. The magnetic trays are a huge plus for crafting and sewing. The magnetic wand is great to pick up dies or pins that fall to the floor. Basically, im old and don't want to bend over to pick them up.
I LOVE shopping trips!! I'm going to be selfish for a second, I'm in a wheelchair and your shopping trips allow me to see what's out there. Oh, and where to go. Thank you!!! I bought some storage for my bling there. Little containers inside bigger ones. Love them!!! My favorite xmas presents came from there!!
I have been shopping there for years for quilting supplies. My guild used to laugh about it until they started checking them out. Now the check out the flyers and find their own goodies.
I had not seen the fuse tool at HF, now I'll need to go back. But you missed one of the Best deals for crafters in there. They have a tweezer set that is under $10. There's 5 or 6 in the pack, very long handles with different styles in the pack like the reverse tweezers. Great for heat embossing small pieces paper or holding small stickers up to a project while deciding exactly where you want it without your hand blocking the view. TFS
I purchased a shower grip safety handle, at HF, to use as a ruler safety handle. I saw one at my LQS, that was pink and purple, but at more than 3 times the price of the white and blue one at HF. So many awesome buys and storage items at HF. They also have rotary blades. They do dull a bit faster, maybe, than the ones marketed for quilters, but at the huge price difference, you’ll still save money. I also bought 2- 4’, very sturdy, metal ruler at HF. They are invaluable for squaring up large quilts and with a smaller suction cup handle, also from HF, can be used for cutting larger widths of fabric.
Finally a "craft" store my husband would enjoy going to with me! LoL But seriously I hadn't ever thought of Harbor Freight for craft supplies. Thank you for this video.
I use the round carpet cutting blades for cutting quilting material. They fit on my rotary cutter just perfectly! And when they get dull, I have a sharpener for rotary blades. They have lots of plastic storage - I use the clear storage container that comes with the clear individual bins with attached lids-I think there are 30 of them. Works great for Diamond Dots or beads. You just have to “think outside of the box” for other great uses .
Thanks for this… I have a 3 tier red metal cart and it has been a fabulous addition to my craft space. I recently had my handiman build a wood top that is split and opens up.. with hinges. …. thanks!!!
I’ve been shopping at HF for years for different storage options for bead work. Two years ago I purchased the work bench with the pegboard back. I actually was able to put it together myself and love it. Thanks for the tour.
I love your field trips!! You did a Harbor Freight one awhile ago, and I still dream of someday owning that stunning white tool chest!! Thanks for taking us along with you. So many great options!!
I bought the General Tool chest to set my Silhouette cutting machine on. We also camp in a toyhauler, so later when I make cheerbows while traveling, I will have all my supplies and also a heavy enough space to set my heat press. 😊
Harbor Freight also has very cheap but sturdy metal rulers to use as tear rulers as well as very strong magnetic hooks for the sides of your craft cart.
I love Harbor Fright! I think more guys will tell you the tools are too cheap but for a diy-er you could get some good tools just for basic needs. Again I so love it there!
great TIPS, thank you, I love the roll around workbench, very nice. I guess if we see our dentists in that last aisle that would be scary ( lol just teasing) thanks for sharing
I go to HF and other tool/hardware /home improvement stores with my fiance quite often. He loves showing me all the things there that are useful to crafter's . Everytime I see one of the tool boxes with the wooden worktop, I tell him I'm going to need at least one of them. One for crafting and another as an island in the kitchen ☺️ I do have a few of the other items you featured in this video. And I did get one of the mini engravers for $10 but have yet to try it out. He took me to HF a couple days ago to show me the mini table saw I've been wanting. He would have bought it for me right then & there but I told him it wasn't necessary, plus he has already gotten me a jig saw, cut off tool, Dremel, and a few other power tools! 😁 Thanks for sharing! Oh and my HF is right next to the Dollar Tree!
My wife is ahead of you, she has lots of her craft storage from there. I bought two Craftsman tool cabinets with castors from a resale shop, done some sanding then repainted them, put a 32”x80” interior door from another resale shop. I only have $60.00 invested in her craft table, one tool box on the right, the other on the left. The door is the top, she’s happier than if would’ve bought new boxes plus she has more $ to spend on supplies. One of her go to stores is Hobby Lobby, cheaper than JoAnns. Keep on Crafting
Those magnetic bowls are awesome! I have one on my scrap desk for corralling metal dies as I'm working. Another advantage, if you have a metal surface, is you can stick the bowl to that with the magnet that's on the underside. I have another in our garage that I have on the side of my metal tool chest. Keeps it handy, but up & out of the way. On one of mine, the magnet came off the bowl, which was a bummer. Until I tried regluing it with Super Glue, which worked like a charm. I'm not sure if E6000 glue would also work in that case, but it was really easy to glue back on, so there's that. Anyway, I always LOVE your field trips, Elisa!!! I am lucky to have a Harbor Freight right here in town - way closer to me than Ikea or even Michael's & Joann's. Also with Harbor Freight, if you get on their e-mail list, you can get coupons sent to you. Most of the time they're for specific products, but sometimes - like for holidays - they have ones you can use for anything. Sometimes those have spending caps on them, like nothing over $19.99, but they're good nonetheless. And you can reuse them each day they're good for - just not more than once in the same day. Thank you for bringing us along on your outing. Take care, & have a wonderful day! :)
I love Harbor Freight! Our Harbor Freight has a Hobby Lobby right next door. I just finished painting my new craft room and I'm looking for ideas for storage. I'm finally getting my own space to craft in without it being in my kitchen at the table. 😂
I like the long magnetic bendable tool with a light on the end which is great for locating and picking up pins, clips, etc. I also use the different sizes (round and other) glass suction cups on quilting rulers as a safety measure when using rotary cutters. I use the heavy-duty wooden counter top tool boxes to store several notions, etc. I buy canvas drop cloths for inexpensive canvas fabric for sewing tote bags, etc. I keep several sizes of zip ties for many uses - including attaching certain odd items onto pegboards. I really like the different sizes of wheeled wooden trolleys for placing under certain furniture, storage chests, etc., so that I can roll them close to my work area on different projects. I purchase inexpensive metal retractable measuring tapes for making squeeze-clamping closure bags such as cosmetic bags and eyeglass cases. I also use the different sizes of magnetic bowls, various storage containers and toolboxes, assortment of picks, clamps, etc. I buy several of the different sizes of lights and flashlights for extra (and emergency) light when needed. I love shopping at Harbor Freight and other hardware stores!
I love my red metal magnet bowl! No losing my little dies & the dish is heavy, so it definitely will not tip over. I just found out this week about the little connecting bins…great for wood veneer, brads, etc.
Thank u Elisa. I'm glad that I'm not the only 1 who has found items at Harbor Freight 2 use in the craft room. I have at least 2 - 4 of the black tiltable stackable drawers. I hold clips in them. I also have 2 clear containers that have 24 smaller clear containers in each from Harbor Freight. I use those 4 my small embellishments. Harbor Freight is cheaper than crafting stores. If u keep an eye on the ads u can get items 4 little of nothing. Have a great, blessed day.
Do you know how many times ive stayed in the car or gone into another store when my husband wanted to go into harbor freight? I Never thought of how useful it could be for my hobbies! Hes gonna be shocked when I say Ill go in next time.
I love your field trips and Harbor Freight was a departure and unexpected. However, you found fantastic items that could be utilized in one's crafting space/studio. I haven't shopped at Harbor Freight, but it is on my list now! Thanks for the field trip, Elisa!
Great finds! My husband loves Harbor Freight! Usually I go to another store nearby but think next time I’ll join him! 😃 Thanks for the tour and tips!!❤
What a great tour! In many ways, it would be as dangerous for me to go into Harbor Freight as it is to go to the craft store. I could go crazy! LOL. Anyway, it's nice to know some of the things they have there and the reasonable prices, as well. TFS!
I love the Cotton swab assortment for paints! You get 175 for $5.99 here in Georgia! Also I stick up on the microfiber cloths! You can catch them on sale for $3.99. Finally I love the Glass towels which I use to clean my glass desk mat!
I enjoy visiting Harbor Freight because of the prices for very similar products to what you’d find at a big box craft store. Oddly enough the HF near me has this item that is mean to suction onto the wall to make the shower safer or make it easier to get out of the bathtub but I’ve seen a similar product sold to suction to a long ruler for QUILTERS to create a stable way to hold the ruler while cutting! The magnetic bowls would also be perfect for quilters, I use one to hold pins. I’ve even used some of the fabric tool bags to hold supplies for travel before. There are always so many fun ideas in that store! (And yesterday I saw a really cool hand crank adjustable table at Home Depot with two shallow drawers and I thought it would be so awesome in a craft space) Thanks for sharing these ideas! Oh my dad had a corded micro engraver when I was little, he used to to put my name on things like a calculator or something that might get a lot of handling and marker could easily run off. The cordless one is a cool idea!
Love This Shop With You To Harbor Freight Girl! Been eyeing for a while the Cubes that stack together, the Magnetic Bowls, and lastly the Tool Chest in white with the Pegboard. I was talking to my daughter about it just recently. 🤩🤩🤩
I’m a HF Junkie! I shop there all the time! I have the pegboard bench for my beading stuff and it’s great!! One of my favorites. I also have the snap together black tilt bins for holding my silicone beads and focals. They’re a must!! Anything magnetic is great for sewing or paper crafting for sure. And I do a lot of resin tumblers so they’re my go to for gloves and masks. Sandpaper is also a good purchase for crafters. I could go on and on!! ❤
At someone else's suggestion, I went to HF for magnetic bowls. I decided the small ones really wouldn't work because I wanted to dump out like a whole envelope of Tim Holtz dies. And secondly I got one of their magnetic tools that has a magnet at one end, so when I drop dies on the floor or in a box where I can't find them generally, it helps tremendously because you don't even have to be able to see where you're sticking it down into. Enjoyed your video.
I love shopping at harbor freight,my most favorite find are the 25 piece small parts organizer ,istore buttons and small embellishments, the are $5.99 and similar item at craft store are over $20 😊😊😊
When I first started making jewelry I got a lot of tools there, a drummer, polishing compound, and my Dad bought me that adorable wooden toolbox that has a mirror on the top lid.
Great video and as an automobile mechanic and building engineer / tool guy you do have a good level of mechanically skills above hobbies you know what your talking about no mistakes well done! One side note the magnetic dish you talk about if you need one and didn't have one you can use a metal cooking dish and put a magnetic on it however I would never steal the cooking dish from the kitchen or it never goes back to the kitchen if you're a young married man ask your wife first don't be Tim Allen in IRL!
Great clip today!!!! Those magnetic bowls are totally a better deal $$! I have a small one and I know I paid more for it than the ones you shared. Husband is going there today so I’ll have him pick one up for me ◡̈. Thanks so much!!!
We bought our RC boat from hobo freight. It’s a rebranded wl toys at half the price.. I get a lot of stuff for our RC needs and of course tools from HarborFreight. They do have junk but they have great stuff too
I just love Harbor Freight. A couple of years ago I bought a heat gun. Yesterday I bought a red tool box on wheels for my sewing room. It has drawers and a space in the bottom to put other containers. I also got a magnet with a hook to put on the side of the tool box to hang my quilting rulers. Their magnetized bowls would be great for straight pins. I also purchased a very high powered flash light. Love that store. ❤❤❤
Very well presented, thank you. I have purchased a few items for storage of my supplies for card crafting. I wish I had room for one of the rolling carts of drawers.
I have gone to Harbor Freight. My husband has those colored bins. When we were unpacking, we used them to separate like items for my craft room. When he builds out my counter spaces, I'll be able to decide easier where I want things.
I enjoy your field trips very much, please continue to do them. I have gotten sewing items from HF. Magnetic bowls and rotary cutter blades. Have a blessed day.
Thx for this video, going to harbor freight Oh yes a magnetic bowl, this is perfect for die’s and especially the lil ones, I still can’t find one, I think my lil cabinet swallowed it. Love the work bench, and you can paint it , it’s been on my list for years, back then it was 89. dollars 🤦🏻♀️
I actually have a Glowforge on a white Husky cart, pretty much exactly like the Yukon one you showed. I got mine at Home Depot. I works great! We did secure it to the wall though just to make sure it didn’t move during lasering. Not sure if it was needed, but that laser can move quickly at times, and with the cart being on casters… we’ll you get it. 😆

Same!
Oh, I didn't think of the wands for that purpose - great idea!
@@ScrappyWife the magnetic wands are also sold at DT for 1.25
Love Love Love HF ... my craft run | Michael's, Dollar Stores, Hobby Lobby, Big Lots and HF!!!!
My husband, one year, bought me a large wooden tool box that I used to organize all my knitting and crochet needles, etc. I love it.
So fun...I am just obsessed with toolboxes!
I love Harbor Freight!
It's a great store!
As Ben Napier says, you can never have too many clamps. 😀
So true!
I thought Norm Abrams said that. Yes I'm probably older.
Just found you and my husband just bought me that big Yukon tool chest at Harbour Freight today for some of my craft supplies 😂
That is awesome!

I would have never looked at Harbor Freight if it wasn't for this video. I will be checking it our very soon. Thank you
Hope you like it!
My favorite place to shop.
So many great finds!
My husband shops at HF but I had no idea that I too, could shop there. Next trip…I’m going along.
Sounds like a date night waiting to happen!
Finally a "craft" store my husband would enjoy going to with me! LoL But seriously I hadn't ever thought of Harbor Freight for craft supplies. Thank you for this video.

I have that large white tool chest. I absolutely love it! ❤
It's a beauty for sure :)

Awesome ideas at a store you’d not generally associate with craft storage. Thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome - thanks for watching!

Oh, what a nice addition! So nice to have a handyman to help out!
Such great storage! Thanks for encouraging us to think outside the box.
Thanks for coming along - there is always a chance to save money when you think outside the box!
I’ve been shopping at HF for years for different storage options for bead work. Two years ago I purchased the work bench with the pegboard back. I actually was able to put it together myself and love it. Thanks for the tour.
That is good to hear!
The magnetic parts dishes will also stick to a vertical metal surface and parts still stick to the dishes. Metal vertical space can be used.
That's awesome!
I love your field trips!! You did a Harbor Freight one awhile ago, and I still dream of someday owning that stunning white tool chest!! Thanks for taking us along with you. So many great options!!
The white one would look so good in any craft space!
Aaaaagh! I never thought to use the metal bowls for my jewelry pieces! Thank you!
Yes, should work great!
I bought the General Tool chest to set my Silhouette cutting machine on. We also camp in a toyhauler, so later when I make cheerbows while traveling, I will have all my supplies and also a heavy enough space to set my heat press. 😊
What a great solution for your camper!
Love harbor freight specially for my crafting. They have a lot of usable tools and items you can use for a lot cheaper. That you for sharing.
Very true!
Harbor Freight also has very cheap but sturdy metal rulers to use as tear rulers as well as very strong magnetic hooks for the sides of your craft cart.

It's a pretty cool store to go check out!
I love field trips on organization items. This is a project I'm working on . Getting better organized.
Always happy to help - hopefully this gave you some inspiration.
Awesome video! So many great ideas.
Thanks so much!
I have the big white tool chest you are looking at in my craft room. I love it. It was my Mothers Day gift
That is a fabulous Mother's Day gift for sure!
Thanks for reminding me that I needed to order replacement blades for my craft knife! 😂 Done! 😊❤️
Nice!

He sounds like a keeper :)
Great resource! Thank you. Always looking for good deals.
You are so welcome!
My wife is ahead of you, she has lots of her craft storage from there. I bought two Craftsman tool cabinets with castors from a resale shop, done some sanding then repainted them, put a 32”x80” interior door from another resale shop. Sounds like a really functional table for your wife 👍🏻
Hi, I enjoyed the field trip to HF! You touched on so many things I've never even thought about before. So, I vote for more field trips, TFS.
You got it!
Great video! Really enjoyed your tips!

I’ve had some of their small plastic boxes with adjustable dividers for years - they’re great for storing earrings.
Awesome!!!
I am a fan of Harbor Freight, and they had a sale last week that was excellent!
So awesome!
I use a heat gun from harbor freight and love it. It was only $12 at the time of purchase. Great value for the money
That's an awesome deal!
Yes, Thanks
No problem
I love Harbor Freight! Our Harbor Freight has a Hobby Lobby right next door.
I just finished painting my new craft room and I'm looking for ideas for storage. I'm finally getting my own space to craft in without it being in my kitchen at the table. 😂
Ooooh, Harbor Freight with a Hobby Lobby next door could be dangerous for sure!
Tons of great finds! Sounds like you found some good uses for these things.
I would love one of those Yukons
I love my red metal magnet bowl! No losing my little dies & the dish is heavy, so it definitely will not tip over. I just found out this week about the little connecting bins…great for wood veneer, brads, etc.
Awesome!
The hook set that looks like Cricut tools works perfectly!
So awesome!

That pegboard bench is also great in the kitchen.
Oh, good idea!

Love harbor freight , the mini cut off saw is great for when crafting with wood.
awesome!

Field Trip!!!! great ideas thanks
Thanks for coming along!
I'm just as bad in places like harbor freight, home Depot, and Lowe's as I am at JoAnn fabrics and Michaels and bookstores!
So many great deals to be found!
@@ScrappyWife lol I know! It's so dangerous
I love harbor freight also for crafting needs!
So many really useful tools for a crafter!
Great clip today!!!! Those magnetic bowls are totally a better deal $$! I have a small one and I know I paid more for it than the ones you shared. Husband is going there today so I’ll have him pick one up for me ◡̈. Thanks so much!!!
Awesome! Hope you got your metal bowl this weekend!
@@ScrappyWife I did and I love it!
We bought our RC boat from hobo freight. It’s a rebranded wl toys at half the price..
I get a lot of stuff for our RC needs and of course tools from HarborFreight. They do have junk but they have great stuff too
I've always had good luck with Harbor Freight purchases.
Sounds like you have found lots of great things at Harbor Freight!
😮😮😮😮 I always forget about harbor freight. Love all of the great ideas. Thanks for taking us along. Have a fabulous weekend. Sherry
Yes, so many great finds at a pretty affordable price!
That was very informative. Thank you! ❤😊
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much. I just ever think of HF. I will now
Yes, definitely consider it!
It's my favorite place to get micro drill bits and small tools for model building.
Oh, yes, that makes sense!
I love Field Trips. I had forgotten about the goodies at Harbor Freight, the clamps are wonderful to have.
Yes, they really come in handy in a variety of ways.
Very well presented, thank you. I have purchased a few items for storage of my supplies for card crafting. I wish I had room for one of the rolling carts of drawers.
Yup, those look so useful!
wow! you look beautiful today!!! And who would have thought to shop at Harbor Freight!
Aw, thanks so much Cherie!
I love mine. I have my heat press on it and cricut on the other side.
Awesome!
I loved the harbor frieght tour. Thank you so many ideas. I have to plan a trip without my husband. 😂
Yes, go for it!!!
The little engraver would also work well to mark some of your valuables with identifying info in case they are ever stolen.
Good idea!
I have gone to Harbor Freight. My husband has those colored bins. When we were unpacking, we used them to separate like items for my craft room. When he builds out my counter spaces, I'll be able to decide easier where I want things.
That is awesome!
Love It!! I get my mask with respirator. Very reasonable and thanks for other finds. Please keep doing the field trips lol.
Good to know about the mask!
I enjoy your field trips very much, please continue to do them. I have gotten sewing items from HF. Magnetic bowls and rotary cutter blades. Have a blessed day.
Awesome!
I use an orange and black tool chest in my area. Got it several years ago Sears online.
Awesome!
Many good options for craft supplies there, prices looked better also. Thanks for sharing!
Yes, prices were better for sure!
Thanks for the field trip. I love shopping at harbor freight.
I really enjoyed checking it out again, because it has been a while since I've been.
Fun place to locate tools/supplies for our hobbies!!! THankYou
You are so welcome - thanks for coming along!
The craft knife that you showed is my go to blade. It's really good and comfortable to use.
Good to know!
I got that craft knife as part of a kit a few years ago. Came with a variety of blades, three different handles. I use it constantly!
Thx for this video, going to harbor freight
Oh yes a magnetic bowl, this is perfect for die’s and especially the lil ones, I still can’t find one, I think my lil cabinet swallowed it.
Love the work bench, and you can paint it , it’s been on my list for years, back then it was 89. dollars 🤦🏻♀️
Yes, those metal bowls definitely come in handy!
I LOVE harbor freight, many of my tools, adhesives and containers came from there.
You really can save so much money over craft stores.
Very cool!
Great ideas! Haven’t been to a harbor freight in ages but will have to check them out ☺️. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks for watching!
Been meaning to check HF out since seeing this video I will make a point to go. Looks like lots of good stuff. TFS enjoyed!
Yes, go check it out and enjoy!
GREAT VIDEO!!! HAVE A BLESSED DAY 😊❤️🙏🏻🌻
