Besides planning, my main hobby is coloring. I like the Dollar Tree cutting mats to place behind a page to protect from alcohol marker bleed through. I use shiny side up, which you can clean easily with rubbing alcohol (i keep that in a spray bottle.)
I love Dollar Tree for craft stuff and a lot of basics around the house and toiletries and stuff like that. We have some really good stores around here. Isn't it funny how easy it is to spend a lot of oney in a dollar store??
Great finds and ideas for using them! I hadn’t thought of greeting cards for embellishments, I’ll have to look more closely next time I’m in the dollar store. Thanks so much!😃
New to your cha, thanks for lots of info & ideas. FYI Lighter Fluid is a wonderful solvent for anything you need removed. It will even clean fabric. It evaporates quickly leaves no residue. Learned this working in a furniture store in my 30's, now I'm 68, still use it. Buy behind counter where tobacco is sold.
So many of these I use! The cutting mats are great for inking and gluing without getting my desk dirty. Love all the little storage containers in my desk drawers and on my shelves.
First of all I love your Dollar Tree store, wish I had a big one like this near me especially so well stocked. You had so many good ideas . I saw lots of items that I own like the collapsible storage cubes. I use the small ones on my vanity to store my cosmetics and hair brushes. The larger ones store my purses and shoes in my closet. I used greeting cards to scrapbook my daughter’s graduation pictures, I used the ones that had the year on them. Thank you for sharing your ideas. Looking forward to more.
I like to cut those chopping mats into 2 x 14" pieces. Then I label them with paper lines' names. I also put a red, green, yellow, or blue sticker on the mat/label if I have stickers, ephemera, washi, stamps/die sets that go with each line. Great way to store like items and also have a reminder that I have in another place.
Great video! You can flip your clear jars upside down so you can see the different colors of your diamond dots. I saw another person store her embossing powder that way.😊
The DT small clothespins are great to hold paper projects while they dry. I like that I can get cheap canvasses for experiments. They have various seasonal napkins and other paper decor. Tina, Al's wife
FYI on the peg boards and accessories, they could be ANYWHERE at your local store. I've found them in the party section, in with baby products and toy sections!!!
I bought the same rainbow note cards a while back and have used them in my Art Journal and even in my planner. They're so so cute and the paper quality is right up there with the best of them. I also love the flexible cutting mats for making dividers of all kinds, especially in my planner. The wall decals are so unique and are great for decorating a page super quickly. Let us know if the little cricut weeding cup sticks to your desk...if so, it's a great idea and I'll definitely be picking one up the next time I go to DT. 😊

This is a great little haul! I'm going to stop into a different Dollar Tree after we go to dinner tonight...hopefully, I find some good things. I really like the tissue paper!
This was fun! I bought a bunch of the flexible cutting mats (clear ones) and one of my favorite stencils was made out of a piece of this mat. Very durable!
I'm so glad you showed us those cutting boards in a previous video, as well as this one. I use them a lot too and I didn't even know they existed until i watch your video where you talked about them! Thank you!!!
Nice variety at your store. The problem with DT is just what you did, LOL!! When you see something that you haven't seen before, you tend to grab a lot or all that is there, so then it is gone. I got a few of the cutting mats so I don't ruin my good one when using brads. I will have to look for the tissue paper and those floral stickers, loved them.
Thank you for doing this video. Al DT stors are not the same. I have 3 near me in Tucson and when I can I go exploring. None of my stores are as organized. But, you are right about trying new things and $1.25 is a good bang for your buck. Thanks again and see you soon. I did subscribe.
Great haul. I love the cutting mats as well. I use them in my larger baskets to keep my ephemera separated. I make things in advance. Its all basic colors and I decorate when I use it. Thanks for other tips.
