I bought the clear acrylic drawers in various sizes and pulled the drawers out, glued them in a stack. I use those to store my ink pads, another to store all my pens. They look like the ones you're using except for the pens it's clear acrylic rather than white small cubes. The drawers I removed I glued together with the empty drawer part facing forward to store small bottles of ink & paints. Those I hung on the wall using bits of Hippo Tape. I've never had one come loose. I've also stacked & glued ones to hold, for example, stamps & paper punches. But my favorite of all storage items are the open top boxes I made using heavy weight clear vinyl with bias tape. I made handles from webbing used for belts. I can see everything inside at a glance & they cost me about $2 each to make. I made 20 in a single day. So super easy to make. I have a pegboard and found the round tops from metal hangers make the most wonderful pegboard hooks and are cost free. Just snip off the hook leaving a 3" or 4" wire tail. Bend the tail down & insert that into the hole. Toilet paper rolls are a wonderful way to store fabric trims, lace & ribbon .. once again they're free.
If I had that quantity of 6 x 6 paper pads I SOOO would be breaking them down to their individual colors!! I’d never be able to keep track of what I had otherwise!!
I basically keep them by brand and type, especially now that I have 6x6 glitter and foil pads. I definitely don't use them enough though! But by color would be a great way to organize them too!
I have an entire organization playlist that has been growly slowly but surely :) You can find it here: ruclips.net/p/PLk4tRUVuI1Jpsp_6119WuCqGA2X-xORYA
Is your bedroom your own space? If so you could elevate your bed and put dressers beneath it to contain your craft things. Or even under bed storage boxes. If you’re really strapped financially, see about scavenging the extra sturdy boxes from liquor stores, costco, and sam’s clubs to cut down for that purpose. OR, if you have access to bookcases, you can take the liquor boxes and, using additional pieces of cardboard cut the size of book spines, decoupage and decorate them, and glue them to the faces of the boxes. Perfect disguise for LOTS of crafty things!! No bookcase? Check out some of these vids. Good luck with your brain storming!! I’m going to be busy with the faux library look storage!!
You have the greatest ideas! I love seeing craft room tours, but not everybody can have their own craft room. Thank you for sharing your ideas but most of us need to use because we sure are Craft Space with other family members
Exactly! I would love a space to myself and a professionally designed craft room, but alas that is just not in the cards for me! My husband still works from home and that is great for him, so I make do with what I have!
I try to add to that playlist as much as I can ruclips.net/p/PLk4tRUVuI1Jpsp_6119WuCqGA2X-xORYA ! But definitely let me know if there is a certain supply that is getting out of control! 😅
Thanks so much for watching! Glad to hear it was helpful! I have a whole playlist of organizational videos here: ruclips.net/p/PLk4tRUVuI1Jpsp_6119WuCqGA2X-xORYA
You're right! I don't think I mentioned dust protection in the video, but it is a huge point for me. Living in the Southwest, we get tons of dust and if you leave things like twine or string out the dust gets all over it and truly ruins it!
Thank You so much for offering these and other storage suggestions to people like me who have a very limited income and small craft area. Also, as a senior citizen who loves to craft, many of the other storage solutions are totally out of our reach financially. God Bless You.
You are my kind of girl. I like to save money whenever i can. I'm even using boxes and covering them with scrapbook paper and using them on my crafting table for organizing
See I knew subscribing to your channel was a great idea...🤗... I have a lot of crafting treasures (not stuff as my family refer to it!🙄) and its mostly contained in a huge pine dresser, I've always loved crafting & art but I was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour about 14yrs ago and it left me unable to do much, like walking, standing, holding anything heavier than a cup of tea, and because of my bad dexterity & hand tremors crafting started to become difficult and eventually became impossible, but a couple of years ago some of my medication was changed and although I'm still unable to do too much my dexterity and sitting time has improved so much that I have started crafting again and I've actually just started to teach myself how to do acrylic nails... 🥳😱🥳 Sorry my long winded point is that now I'm able to craft I'm going to need lots "more" storage solutions for all the "new" treasures I'll "need"...🤭... My husband found a couple of solutions at a "car boot sale" he found a wooden cd rack which was quite tall so he painted it cut it in half fixed them together and mounted them on the wall above my craft desk and it is where I keep all my alcohol markers (in their colour tones)& fine liners, and my favourite upcycled piece is a beautiful rotating spice rack with glass orb jars which I now store all my sparkly gems, brads, and small resin toppers... Im sorry for waffling on, I'm just excited to get back into what truly makes me happy and for my new craft/art & nail space to be finished (by my amazing husband & children)so I can create beautiful things and share them with people... Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas & tips, stay safe my lovely... 💫😷✏🤗🖌😷💫
Thank you so much for sharing your journey. :) It makes my heart so happy that you are able to craft again and that your wonderful family is helping create a space for you that works. And finding those pieces like your spice rack that are both beautiful and practical are the cherry on top! Have a fabulous crafty day.
@@RebeccaKeppel ahhh thank you so so much, its definitely been a long journey and the thought of regression is always in the back of our minds but the love, light & the support of my family keeps me positive... Watching the beautiful creations you've made has been great and it also shows me what I need to upgrade in my stash, especially the "ink oxides" mine are all just distress inks, I'll get there, and I will love every minute... I look forward to seeing more of your videos, I did watch about 5 or 6 in a row earlier... Have a wonderful evening, stay safe my lovely... 💫😷✏🎨🖌😷💫
I use a hanging jewelry organizer to store my distress oxide pads. That way I can hang it over the door. I also use a make up brush organizer to store my bone folders, sissors, rulers stamp blocks, and corner chompers.
I've been working in the paper crafting industry for about 15 years so I have collected a lot of supplies, but they are all not 100% necessary to enjoy crafting!
JUST SUBSCRIBED! This was the first video I have seen from you. I love it. The sugar dispenser is genious! I have so much ribbon and twine. I will buy some dispensers tomorrow! I also like the tray for nail polish that you used. I will enjoy that in my craft room too. Your video was right to the point. Helpful, great editing and clear speech! YES, MORE VIDEOS OF ORGANIZING! This inspired me to do more in my craft room. Thank you so much. God bless you. Peace, Lynne 🍃 💜 🍃
Thank you so much for subscribing! That makes me so happy to hear Lynne! I am growing my storage and organization playlist slowly but surely! You can see the other videos here: ruclips.net/p/PLk4tRUVuI1Jpsp_6119WuCqGA2X-xORYA Happy organizing!
on the 2 nail polish organizers in your cube, you could put some wood or even an amazon box underneath the back one. In that way you could see all of them in one shot. It would be very visually pleasing too!
These ideas as just what I needed! Would love to see any other ideas you have for affordable solutions, for both organizing supplies and the cardmaking itself.
It's been a while since I did a video like this and probably time for a new one! Until then I do have an organization playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLk4tRUVuI1Jpsp_6119WuCqGA2X-xORYA
Thank you. This was fantastic. I purchased a 3 tier rolling cart from Michaels that holds my metal dies on one shelf, my stencils and embossing folders on one, clear stamps on the last. I can roll it right over to my work area and put it away out of the way when I am not. I also refinished an old dresser for storage the drawers are perfect size for my cricut mats, 6x6 paper pads in a drawer, big drawer has all my scrap paper, another drawer has my crop o dile, big bite, and another drawer has fishing tackle boxes for embellishments, and all my mini distress inks. I love your ring storage idea. Very clever for the nail displays, my next project when it arrives.
I love those rolling carts too! I have one that could use some love right about now. It's basically piled with stuff that I dont know what to do with lol! Maybe that should be my next organization video?!
If your washi collection is too big for binder rings look at silverware trays. Amazon carries some with lids so they're stackable. Thanks for a great video!
Thanks for the tip! That is an awesome idea! I have been trying to thin the herd when it comes to washi (lol!) because I've noticed over time that the washi doesn't always hold up so well.Thank you so much for watching!
Love the sugar dispenser for ribbon however that would be an expensive adventure at a dollar a pop.. I must have at least 50 or more ribbons and twine.
Plus it would be a very LARGE display! I picked my big bakers twine spools because 1. I have 16 of those and the dispenser keeps the dust off of them, 2. I have an entire rainbow of those, 3. they fit in a row on the kallax unit I have. So maybe instead of trying to organize all 50 you pick a spot where you would like to display your favorites and go from there!
I’m new at all this, and I’m all a Twitter with excitement! How do I know what medium is for me? How to start? Where to go? I’ve been on several sites, but I can tell you’re the one to ask 💖🦩
Love the sugar dispenser idea! I’ll keep an eye out for one of those for my twine. I currently have a dispenser I made with a skewer, 2 paper clips bent into hooks, and a length of twine. It works, but your idea is prettier!
Absolutely Enjoy all your videos!! Love the Cheap Storage ideas!! I’m(my Hubby is) turning our spare bedroom into a craft room for me & I can use all the inexpensive tips I can get!! God Bless & the Love of Christ to you & yours!!
Well I try to be lol! Usually after a while I find a grouping of product or section of my room that is not working for me and I pull a bunch of stuff apart and reorganize again! My family is very familiar with my re-orgs lol!
I enjoyed your video. It was helpful and it gave me ideas on how to reorganize my stash of supplies. Please add more videos like this to your list. Thank you
TFS those ideas! The sugar dispenser is a great idea...decorative!...but not necessarily cat-proof. :-( One other idea for the binder rings...perhaps a smaller diameter...is to make portable swatch books of your favorite cardstock so as to better match everything when in retail stores.
Thank you! Oh dear, yes, I could see where a cat walking (or running lol) through my maze of sugar jars would not be great! LOL! I do like seeing rainbows in my studio whenever I can. I wonder if they make a plastic version of sugar dispensers that you could use?! I too love creating those little swatch books! Here's how I create those swatch books: ruclips.net/video/f3Ey3gJF1Cc/видео.html I like how with the Waffle Flower Binding Discs I can easily remove and replace paper and move things around without opening and closing the big binder rings and taking everything off to reorganize.
Really enjoyed your most helpful ideas on how I am definitely going to try to tackle n organize my crafts!! Fresh n good helpful things that are most definitely affordable and appreciate how well u explained how u and what u used each item for in your craft room. Love all n most definitely would like to see more especially if u have any recycled cardboard storage hacks to use in the craft room please advise n give us that surprise!! Happy crafting!
Glad it was helpful! My daughter used to use recycled cardboard to build small doll furniture and miniatures and I never figured out to how store it lol! I couldn've used a storage hack for that for sure! Have a wonderful, crafty week!
My 5 adult children with children were all discombobulated my 42 year old , ( girl) was ok with selling our home and building a much smaller 1 story home 2800sq feet. We raised our 5 children on the Disney side (East Orlando side) to a 3.45 minute drive. I have been unwell since No ember, 14. I remember the date as I had fussy cut 90 elements for ephemera for Christmas journals and cards. Never being completely finished . Long story I was diagnosed with another autoimmune disease. I was so upset that my girls packed my craft room. Only to realize I would not be crafting for a while, it’s been 9 months to this day. All this to say, my autoimmune diseases flaired all at the same time. Since I was a new🐝 I was eager to get started. I was able to create a great folio filled with ephemera / card ideas. Junk journals ideas. with sketch of examples of my favorite talented artists
And I’m so thrilled. I have been working on this gift from God.for 4 months. I honestly Just wanted to introduce myself and to say thank you. For sharing your amazing gifts and talents. So sorry to have written a novel. Not intended at all. Happy crafting, Rebekah, I’ll be on your channel for a while. Today. I will “see” you again soon. Hugs, Cheryl 🦋
Hi Rebecca. This is a great video. I do some of the same things you do; I buy the nail polish trays for my tonic drops but never thought of doing that for the distress oxides sprays. My spray bottles are bigger than the nuvo drops. One thing I do that is different than you - I buy from Ikea their white open boxes with the cut out handle, they are $4 about each in white. I buy them to stand up my stamps and dies in and since they are a few inches taller, it doesn't matter that the holder isn't clear. Also my 6x6 paper. It is a lot less money than the refrigerator things which I bought once. I love your idea about the rings for things. I will use that! You know, I wish I had a crafting friend like you. Keep making your videos! Best,Lee(akaLillian) Conradi
Thank you so much! Oooooh, I love Ikea so I'll have to check out those boxes! I too have no crafty friends where I am so....it's settled we are now virtual crafty friends! :) Have a wonderful crafty day Lee! :) Rebecca
You have such a calming voice. A pleasure to listen to your videos.
The sugar dispensers are a great idea.
Thanks Judy! I love being able to see a rainbow of trims--storage and decoration!
OK...let me just say that the sugar dispensers for the twine is absolutely GENIUS! Blew my mind! Good job, Rebecca!
Thank you so much!
This is a very informative video & it’s short & to the point. No unnecessary talk or annoying music. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for watching!

Such beautiful colors but the patterns are so muted they remind me of an impressionist painting Gorgeous ❤

They really are handy!
My favourite is the sugar dispenser for ribbon.......how cute these will look on the shelve with all the wonderful colours.........

I love having rainbows all over the place!
Great advice on doing the things our projects of putting things up
You are so fun, adorable and practical!

Very nice thank uuuuu. I like the sugar dispenser.

What a great idea for bakers twine. I want to use it more and it’s stuck in a bin in my kallax. Sheeesh. Lol

The string holder idea is great. No spools falling on the floor and keeps them dust free.
You're right! I don't think I mentioned dust protection in the video, but it is a huge point for me. Living in the Southwest, we get tons of dust and if you leave things like twine or string out the dust gets all over it and truly ruins it!
I use the nail Polish organizer for my distress oxide ink pads.
I have a wide desk and they fit across the back of the desk.
Oh that's a great idea! Those little organizers are so useful! I actually just grabbed another one because I have more ink refills to deal with!
You’re a breath of fresh air to watch. Everything is interesting, informative and I appreciate your humor.

Love this- you are so organized..
Well I try to be lol! Usually after a while I find a grouping of product or section of my room that is not working for me and I pull a bunch of stuff apart and reorganize again! My family is very familiar with my re-orgs lol!
Love your organization ideas!
Thanks Galina! ☺️
I enjoyed your video. It was helpful and it gave me ideas on how to reorganize my stash of supplies. Please add more videos like this to your list. Thank you
Thank you! Will do!
Thank you for stopping by and sharing your story Cheryl. I hope your health and and new space allow you some crafty time soon.
Hugs,
Rebecca
Love it✨
Thank you!!
I love the PortaInk storage too. I only have one set on a swivel base but need to invest in another one. And your twine/ribbon storage is genius!
Those portainks hold so much! I love being able to see rainbows of supplies when possible! :) Thanks so much for watching!
Yes please
:)
Have a wonderful crafty day Lee!
:) Rebecca
Are the Ikea white boxes you mentioned Plastic? Or Other material?
Awesome video. I’d love to see a inter one like this! 😊
Thanks so much! I'm so glad because I had a ton of fun making this one! :)
