I took over our son, Charles room when he bought his home 10 years ago. I told my husband I lay claim to that piece of property for a craft room. His hobby was antique cars, mine is Scrapbooking. My husband passed away three years ago. Our bedroom is considerably bigger than my craft room, so I am going to swap my craft room for my bedroom. Your video was very helpful and inspiring, Thanks!
Jennifer, these are awesome paper storage ideas. Not only does your storage plan make it easy to locate and grab the type and color of paper needed, but it takes up so much less space. Brilliant! Thank you for sharing your tried and true paper storage solutions!!
I just want to say "thank you!" I have watched so many videos on craft room organisation, but I learnt more in your short video than I have in hours of others' videos. I just wanted you to know that three years later, your video is still making an impact. Thank you! :-)
I always enjoy your videos Jennifer. You are the most organized person and I like that you list the supplies and links at the bottom. Keep sharing your ideas with us.
Excellent video, Jennifer! Storing the magazine holders on their sides was MIND-BLOWING for me. I always had issue because of that front panel, but this eliminates that all together. Pure genius. Thank you so much for this.
If only I could add on to my house to create a craft room like yours (having the money to buy the supplies, papers, tools, etc. would be even better). It seems like I find new things that are great and I try to organize but never get around to creating. I'm sure this took you a long time to put together. Everything is organized and within easy reach. Thanks for all the "tips and tricks" that will help me.
Thanks so much for sharing your great organization tips, Jennifer! I literally go through my craft room once a month trying to figure out the best use of space. My last go round, I decided to finally get rid of a bunch of stuff that I hadn't used in over 2 years. If anyone else does that and wonders what to do with your "old" stuff, I usually have a "craft" garage sale and what's left over is donated to places like women's shelters or the Boys and Girls Clubs, etc.
I have large boxes of papers, and have started sorted them into the large ring binders, so one will have all the whites/creams and blacks /greys, another will have the variations on red, orange to yellows etc. I buy things and just find it hard to part with them, but as I have so many projects to do and everything I need to do them, I'll be getting on with it.
I have sooooooooo needed a video showing how to store papers. Thank you so much. I love your studio and the wonderful crisp white of it. Very inspiring Jennifer.
Just bought my first Fridge Binz. For the fridge actually! I have always disliked having to bend and forage way back in the lower bowels of the fridge. But I only knew of them because of your blog! :) So now onto my crafting area with all your great organization ideas. Thank you!
Jennifer you are amazing! Thanks for sharing this with us. I have gained a lot of tips on organization and I am in love with how you organize your papers. You inspire me so so much. Thank you!!
I've just started using these Job Ticket holders as I'm using more and more 8 1/2 x 11 papers and I want them to be protected while on my shelves. I'm surprised by the thickness and quality of the plastic. A very good recommendation, thank you!
Awesome Video! I just LOVE your room and your built in drawers, look just like my Alex Units, which I love. I also GREATLY admire just how organized you are and ONLY wish, I had the energy to do all that to my room! I don't have a lot of cupboard space, but do LOVE IKEA and do have used so many of your wonderful ideas! I love the Linux containers and use those now too! YOU ROCK!! Thank you Jennifer!! Happy Vacation!!
Wow! Fantastic job with all of your paper organization! I think your idea to have your paper cut at a store is really smart as well. I think it would be cheaper to have them cut at a store, rather than having to use and replace cutting blades at home. Tfs!
Great video. Just recently I have started to organize my crafting and scrapbooking supplies (they've been in boxes for 4 years due to moving) and I wanted to tackle organizing my papers first but couldn't figure out where to start. This video has just helped me to do that. I have been viewing all of your past videos and they all have been such help. Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas.
This is exactly the type of video I need right now, lol. I have been doing out my craft room, which feels like its taken a lifetime, lol. We had a big Expedit unit in my room, but it just swallowed up the space. My room is only 3x2 metres so its extremely small. We added new furniture and storage pieces into my room but my paper storage is my one problem area. Not because I have too much of it, I don't have many paper pads at all. But just finding a good storage system for everything was torturing me a bit, lol. This is a great way to store your papers. I wish I had your room, lol. Lee x
These are some great ideas, exactly what I've been looking for. Can't wait to order the storage containers you use, most of which Ive never heard of, although I think I used some to help organize small items in the refrigerator.
I absolutely love the idea to have paper cut down by FedEx Kinko's! I took this suggestion after purchasing 110lb cardstock from Michael's Buy one get one! It have saved so much time and brain space! Thanks so much for the video and the suggestions.
Your studio space is incredible. Love the crisp white. I use similar clear storage bins from the Container Store (in the kitchen section) for my PL cards that hold the 4x6 and 3x4 cards! They are great. I will have to see about the 6x6 container for the paper pads. Can't wait to see the rest of your space up close. :) - Terri Bradford
Storage is one of my biggest problems in my craft space. I am going to try and find some similar storage components like yours as I don't have access to the same stores you do. But thanks for the inspiration.
Wow, again, thanks. I am starting in the stamping area and this will help me to organise efficiently without having to try several system. You are my savior lol
Great idea I like the sleve idea for scrap paper. I like 12×12 pattern paper for cards because I can cut them up & use them as card fronts for 4 cards. I keep mine in a papper stacker
Very helpful storage video. I can't wait to try some of these great tips! Oh my! All that patterned paper. I was drooling. Do you have any videos on using patterned paper? I found one on stamping & pattern paper. If not, would you consider doing one? Need fresh ideas for using up some of my ever growing stash. Thank you for sharing.
this is fantastic!!! thank you so much for showing us your system, it's great! ☺️now gonna google this cutting of the paper! I'm in the uk so hopefully someone will do it!
Thank you for the wonderful ideas! My card stock is now SO much easier to get to. I used to work in a paper store, so have bunches of card stock--I'm ordering my third 50-pack of job ticket holders! I don't see any brown/black/beige in your rainbow. Where do you store them? If you had metallic cardstocks, would you keep them in a group by themselves, or mixed in with the rainbow of regular card?
Hi Jennifer, it's Korkie again. Your organizing videos always give me great ideas. This one is no exception. I have tons of paper cuts I purchase ions ago. They always get forgotten and lost in the mess of the larger paper. The 3 compartment bin may be a big help for me. If possible, would you mind poster the interior measurements of each compartment. The overall unit will fit on my self nicely. I just want to make sure the individual compartments are the correct size. Once again, thanks for you tips and suggestion.
Jennifer, I always enjoy watching all of your vids I was wondering, what size is your craft room as a whole. I'm trying to redo mine and I know everybody's room this is different with windows and such, but I kinda like to know what size room you started. Thank you for always sharing your amazing talent and kindness, Carole
Awww, I love this video! Do you think you'll do a video of your craft room fully showing your layout of the room? I would love to get design tip for you! ;0) xoxo Jen
Hi...love everything you do! I just had a questions about scraps of paper...do you keep those and if so, how do you organize them? So many different colors and sizes...I feel like my scraps are burying me alive! Thank you!!
I love your storage ideas! Thanks so much for sharing! It will be very helpful to me for my papers (also a problem area of mine). One question about the job ticket holders. In the video they look clear in front and back. The ones you linked to say, in the description, clear front, frosted back. (Office Depot, labeled as the ones you use.) So I am wondering if the frosted side is basically clear or if they are different in the video? Sorry to be nit picky, but like you mentioned I want to be able to see it from either side. There isn't a store near me that I can go see them in person. :)
I love making people feel better especial my mom and I keep saying to her mom when I'm big I'll buy you a house you deserve ! But I get the feeling that it will never happen because of my poverty !
Hoping God will bless me with this kind of craft room in Heaven or let me hit the lotto here on earth so I can do this ;) Your room is not only beautiful and organized but it is loaded with all kinds of goodies :) Not sure if your job supplies you with it all but if so I want your job ;) In all seriousness, Thanks so much for sharing ALL of your ideas! It is truly a blessing! I absolutely LOVE them and learn so much from you! God bless! xo Charity
Love the video... great ideas!! I’m curious where you have found magazine holders recently? Container store doesn’t carry the ones you listed here anymore...
Hi Jennifer, your craft studio is amazing! Thanks for the paper storage ideas. I noticed the beautiful framed artwork of Zephaniah 3:17 and was wondering where you got it :) thanks!
Really enjoyed this video and all the useful ideas you share so generously with us. I have a couple of questions...what do you consider the correct height to have your worktop at? I am 'encouraging' my hubby to customize my space and am looking at the type of cabinets to use and the height varies, so I wondered what you recommended. As well, how do you organize off cuts from your papers? For example those pieces that are too big to throw out yet too small to go in with your 8.5 x 11 papers? Thanks and I look forward to future videos!
Great ideas.......especially cutting your papers to precut sizes and the job sleeves. Is the neenah card stock from sss that you use the same as office depot? Tfs always interested in your tips. You're the organization queen for sure! Debbie

Great idea I like the sleve idea for scrap paper. I like 12×12 pattern paper for cards because I can cut them up & use them as card fronts for 4 cards. I keep mine in a papper stacker

I literally have boxes and boxes of patterned paper, I buy it then hate using it. I filed some in large Ring Binders by colour so I can start using.
Hope you do a full room tour soon! Love your videos.
fantastic ideas!!!!!
I'm so jealous !!!! I love it !!!!!
Oh my gosh this was so helpful thx so much for sharing!
