    Great ideas! Try the rug cutting blades in your rotary cutter, the are 2 for $1.99. Thanks for a great video, I love watching you both!

      Oh wow. I will have to check that out. One thing that I have figured out is that keeping fresh blades in the rotary cutter makes the work a ton easier. Thank you much!

    Great video. Good subject. My best buy at Harbor Freight is a small right angle screw driver by Pittsburgh, item number 92630. It has a ratcheting mechanism. It is perfect for removing the screws in a sewing machine throat plate. It only costs about $4.

    • @NeverTooMany2023
      @NeverTooMany2023  8 месяцев назад

      Thank you so much! That is great. I actually use that same right angle screwdriver for that same purpose. It is wild how many machines have basically inaccessible throat plate screws right? Thanks for sharing!

    I buy my belts at Harbor freight for my belt driven 131 Pfaff. Its the rock tumbler replacement belt. I use vintage sewing machines too. I have around 17. My husband has come home with sewing machines for me!

      Nice. That is a great idea. I will have to check that one out. Thanks! That is cool that you also collect vintage machines. Happy hunting and thanks for watching!

    Thank you for this! I love seeing sewists and crafters finding unconventional solutions for a much better price 😎 I have bought the canvas painters cloth (and washed it twice in hot water to preshrink) for cutting up and sewing totes. I buy the ratchet straps to remove the crappy ratchets and just use that valuable 1” webbing which is sold by the foot in my fabric store. I buy paracord there (for the same reason as the 1” webbing). They also have grommets that work great on the gussets of totes. I use the little picks for everything and anything. For anyone also into various crafting projects, I might suggest the magnetic bowls are a fantastic way to keep little cutting dies from getting lost (I use one with my Spellbinder). They also sell a full size cordless hot glue gun if that is your thing. I am always finding stuff at HF, tiny precision pliers, clamps, utility knife, needle files, chip brushes, bench brush, the sky is the limit if you just walk the aisles with a crafty eye, knowing what it is you could solve for with such a tool. Fun stuff!

      Thank you so much! Wow, that is a lot of really great ideas. Ya, buying 1" webbing by the foot is not cheap. I use it when making bags and motorcycle gear. I will have to check that out as an option. Thanks for sharing!

    I found the magnets too strong in the trays for pins. I bought a 3-pack of trays made for pins on Amazon that I love--they have just enough magnetic power. I place one behind my sewing machine and just toss the pins at it--it's so cool, it catches them really well! You can also use them to pick up loose pins on the table or floor--just hover/sweep it over the surface. The suction handlebars work really well for rotary cutting rulers, too. I'm not sure about using a lot of strong magnets around any modern electronic or computerized sewing machine.

    I have several of these items from Harbor Freight already. I always invite myself along when my hubby make a HF run. But the dent pullers and picks are a great idea and will be added to my sewing room soon. I also have some small clamps from HF that I use to hold rolls of quilt sandwich out of my way while quilting or machine embroidering

    Harbor Freight also has dental pick sets that have finer tips to get into tighter spots. I use a 4' power strip under the back side of my work station and the lighted magnifier on an arm usually stays clamped to the rear corner of the work station.

    By far my favorite is those white toolboxes in the sewing room. Last time I had fabric and tools come together was building a custom retractable awning, went from sewing to welding to customize a harbor freight hand winch to mount to a house, good times.

      A suction cup shower handle works too, two suction cups on those portable handles, which makes a 24” ruler more stable using one hand. 💞

      I believe that all of Harbor Freight prices are readily available on their website. As far as comparing prices to other regions, you should be able to choose different stores through their store finder with different zip codes and compare different prices at each location.
