I am building up my she shed and everyone else says go to IKEA. I didn’t realize this is a much better idea! Plus I don’t have to put them together

EXACTLY what I thought! Plus Ikea stuff falls apart after about a year.
I too have Husky two darwer table. I do not have an Ikea store and I am one to have to visualize before I buy. I use my tabel for sewing.
That's no shed - that's like a penthouse suite at Four Seasons! Great idea to use workbenches, I never thought of that. I may steal my boyfriend's Husky LOL

I have used a tool box for many years now. I love it. When I bought mine, there wasn’t any other colors to choose from. So I spray painted it turquoise. It is still holding up. I love the extension table option. I wish that was available back when I got mine.

I’m not gonna lie I’m just wondering how you got six workbenches to your second story
It was not an easy task by any means. The key is to flip them upside down and push them up. 😀

Those huskies are like 350 a piece so this isn't very economically friendly
We priced out Ikea furniture for this room and it was WAY more expensive than the Huskies. These work for us. To each his own.
How fantastic never would have even thought of using the huskys for a craft room. The only thing is they seem to get a little stuck prior to pulling them out, is that an issue for you? tfs
They look great, they're on wheels, they come pre-assembled, and they store a LOT! The drawers do have a little stickiness when opening them, but you get used to it. It's probably the soft-close spring that's pretty tight.
Love those benches, if I had the space that’s what I would use too

Absolutely love your new room! I used Seville Classics from Sam’s for my studio. They have to be put together but I did that myself and love having closed off areas when I’m done. My studio is also my living room and dining room so it offers me flexibility and I hate seeing everything out. You have made me wish I had some Husky systems but there is always room for more in the garage! Thanks for sharing. You’re have the smartest craft room ever. Enjoy! 🎉

Hello, Can you provide the link for the Husky tool storage. The ones I'm finding online that look the same are saying 18" deep. Your units seem a lot deeper than that as I need at least 24" for what I'm doing. Thank you for your time!
Lots of great ideas! I too have my craft room in our above the garage bonus room. We have to use it as a guest bedroom too though, but I’m trying to figure out a way to work around the bed being in my way. I would love to just remove it and add an island in that space instead. Your craft room typically requires a lot of storage space for all the supplies and materials. Here are some ideas for organizing a craft room:

I love the workbench idea…. Silly question… you mentioned 2nd floor… how hard was it getting all of them up there? Are they one piece or have to build? My craft area is on 2nd floor - older home with long fairly narrow stairway and basically 90 degree turn at top to get into the room. Loooove your space - also love the idea of the thread spool storage!
Thanks! It's really working out well for us. We had movers get them upstairs. They don't come apart - they are one piece. The movers flipped them over and pushed them up the carpeted stairs on the wood tops and then flipped them once they got them upstairs. It took 3 young guys to make it happen.
@@craftwithfelicia oh well I’m out lol..I have old wood stairs and no 3 young men to help lol. Nor would that many people fit on or at the top of the staircase at once lol.
Great video! A great alternative to the craft stores are the hardware store I think we sleep on those kind of stores since they are catered to men however they have many great things for crafters and diyers

I typically have the sewing machine on a lower table and lower my desk chair. It's nice to be able to have the space to move things where I want. :) I stand when I'm embroidering.
Where and how do you store your dies?
I use the Stamp-n-Die Wall Boxes. I only have 2 of these boxes and store them in a drawer.

I don’t have a separate room for my craft space but I do share the garage with my handy father. I may or may not have taken over one side of it where his beautiful Husky workbenches are. 😂 one manually goes up and down, I use this for my desk/craft bench/self nail salon. I’m am rapidly out growing the stolen space but my father is so graceful and hasn’t said anything to me about it. I’m his baby girl and he loves to see me in my element making cool stuff. The husky benches are perfect for crafting and you shouldn’t ever need another bench in your life lol ❤

Wow, thanks! It was all my hubby's idea and, yes, I resisted at first, but LOVE LOVE LOVE it now.
Of course with such a large room, you don't need to go vertical; but shelves, boards, etc. can make a room very "warm". This is the only thing I have to say about a perfect layout.
Agreed. Moved in to our new house in January and this room is evolving. Add some shelves but it needs more on the walls to give it that warm feeling.
