I remember Sueli saying they would stay close to 20 hours training sometimes, like this is crazy dedication because they’re the ones that wanted to try it out.
not to mention Naughty isnt even a title track...
And they said it was so hard it almost made them want to quit 😅
And for 4 months only.They still pull off the tutting really well.Both of them still practicing tutting everytime they have time to do that

a lot of kpop fans are not appreciating this art enough, on top of how amazing the members of red velvet combined and even individually. they have the best vocalists, dancers, visuals, and yet a lot of people are still sleeping on them. they are tagged as the group with the best discography in kpop for a reason, and you just need to watch, listen, and digest what red velvet caters to you.
I hope people stop sleeping on red velvet 😭😭😭. I hope people wake up before it’s too late. Gen 3 ain’t going anywhere but ya know… 😂

this mv definitely doesn't have enough views. it's literally revolutionary (in the kpop world anyways) and it doesn't get enough hype. The amount of training and effort that went into it is insane and they did so well. Just the fact that they then sung live while doing this intricate dance?!?! Amazing.

As a dancer this choreo made me cry and it gave me heart palpitations.
This was a fun one to watch! The Naughty choreo really impressed me the first time I saw it, as I haven’t seen much of that style in kpop. I highly recommend checking out Seventeen’s dance practices (Don’t Wanna Cry, Fear, Ready to Love, Very Nice, HOME;RUN - many great ones). They are so clean and their choreo is amazing - it’s like I’m watching a Vibe or Body Rock performance at times. You won’t be disappointed :)
Agreed!! I would recommend their Getting Closer (Sumicha) choreography practice video - that one struck me as the closest to a dance crew choreo/performance - it is wiiiiild like nonstep energy

I'm really glad you guys reacted to Naughty. For me it's one of the best choreography we have in kpop, for several reasons, but the main one is the fact that it's so different from usual and that it holds so much attention even though it's a two-person choreography (except for the ending hehe). I love Spella's coreographys, and Seulgi and Irene performed this so so well, they are the best!
I’m so glad you reacted to this!!!! I’m pretty sure that Irene and Seulgi were the first to do this in kpop! They slayed it too considering they have a release right before this! Idk how long it took them to learn and perfect this choreo exactly but if I’m not mistaken they released this with only 2-ish weeks(?) gap from the pervious… which ISN’T much time at all 😭
If you haven’t yet, you should check out some Seventeen stuff! Their choreos are always so amazing but I think you’d have to watch practice videos which isn’t much for camera work and stuff. However, members The 8 and Dino did put out their own choreo vids that you guys might like! The 8’s especially are pretty aesthetic hahaha
tutting was already done in kpop before like shinee lucifer but never a full tutting choreo
yup! They weren't planning to release anything for naughty but Lee soo Man saw the choreo and he immediately changed the schedules etc to include a MV/performance vid etc for naughty!

I loved the choreo when this song first came out. It’s so intricately complex but they made it look effortless. I don’t know a thing about dance but even I knew this was special. Everything from the choreo to POV mirrored camerawork and editing was top notch. All credit to these dancers for their breakdowns! This is easily the most detailed insightful reaction to this music video.

If you want more Vogue, I’d suggest “Stay Tonight (Performance Video)” by ChungHa and watch all the life being given to you. Plus, it’s more of a dance video so you won’t get that many of the B-roll cuts of a regular music video. 👑😍
If you want more duos within groups that dance together, I’d suggest Ten & Winwin from NCT’s Chinese subunit WayV dancing to a remix of “Lovely” by Billie Eilish & Khalid (I forgot the name of the remix itself). There’s a dance video version and a live version, I believe. Either way, modern/contemporary excellence. 😙🤌🏼

The lighted corridor that you first see Seulgi in is the Gwangmyeong Cave in South Korea. Irene and Seulgi Monster was the title track on this album. Nice choreo in that MV as well. In fact there are two other videos from the album. Episode 2 Irene and Episode 3 Uncover which have some choreo as well.

I really want to see a Seulgi/Lisa dance collaboration - they have the same long/lean frame and they both excel at switching from sharp to fluid

This was a great reaction, particularly for someone like me who isn't too well-versed in dance. Pointing out the subtleties of Jacking, Tutting, the finger movements, even the camera-related aspects of the choreography really opened my eyes to how much more complex this actually was. Good to see a good reaction, but also by people who are dancers by trade so they could explain the nuances of the choreo. Bravo!

Can confirm, the camera was indeed in the choreographer’s mouth when they shot that scene with Seulgi. They show it in the behind the scenes. She does it twice. Once in the MV and again for the dance practice video.
