I had an Egnator Tweaker 15. It comes with 6v6s in it, but will go seemlessly to el34s or 6L6s without biasing. I liked the 6v6 and I had put some el34s in it which made it a little more mid hot and aggressive. I didn't get a chance to try 6L6s, but I don't know of any other low wattage amp that will allow that without modding or rebiasing every time.
Fantastic player, fantastic amp(s)! Having said that, they might be a bit too hot-rodded for blues and...lighter rock. But for a modern player (and a player who can command his gear like Dennis) they are excellent!
hmm how come he could get this gobs of gain but i coudlnt hear thesame amount of gain on other reviewers?. is he using booster? i dont see one. sure its a delay pedal and the other is anything but not a booster OD pedal. ill stick with my peavey bravo into 4x12 cabby.

The real question is: can you gig with it? without a PA, I mean. I'm sure it works for rehearsals
I guess it would depend on the venue. Great sounding amp, trying to find out if any of their current production amps get the same sound.
I can't tell if these speaker cabs are massive or if this guy is tiny.

@TheGeronimo322 the 30 has a gain boost knob and one more preamp valve. so it's gonna have more gain.

I have to disagree....I'm no pro but this is how it sounds to me....I've had it for almost a year now....fantastic amp.
Yes, it was about the digital delay. I now use it most of the time with the mighty gig master. :)

Is it possible for a low-wattage amp to use EL-34 tubes? I can't seem to find any, they seem to go with EL84 or 6V6 in the smaller amps.

Antonio Cappelli Fixed bias yes, but ENGL has marked graded tubes, just replace the pair with the same grade tubes and you're good to go.
