Nice to see you back doing vids again, for some reason hadn’t gotten notifications anyway sorted now, I learn a little bit every time I watch - just so I might be able to fix my own one day when needed.

Another great video mate, tip the supply relay sticks and run the compressor sometimes till destruction so when the new compressor was fitted it should also have had the relay as they were known to stay engaged and when you take the relay apart you can see the contacts are pitted. Good tip for leaks use a spray bottle with fairy liquid and spray it on the bags and lines.

Awesome demonstration.. What was it in the end?? Was it only compressor or it was the valve block too?

Right now at 9:09 AM California time it's 67 degrees F or 19.44 degrees C. Windy also.
I don't know that air suspension system, so can you block off the hoses at the compressor or block valve and activate the pump to see if the compressor will go past 3.91 bar or 56.71 PSI?

Got a problem with my air suspension and had three mechanic’s looked at it including Audi and none of them can point to what the problem is can any one help

Piston rings go on the compressor Steve same on Mercedes usually caused by compressor working for too long ie a leak in the system somewhere. But as it’s a no OE part can’t say on the quality.
One thing to remember check the air inlet valve isn’t blocked I’ve had the filter blocked with mud after it had 3 compressors fitted at other workshops, also the manufacturers always recommend to replace the relay at the same time as the compressor
    Regards,
    Madds.

or you can check there it a one way valve after the compressor, if it does and it's stuck open that would be why it will not build pressure

I have air suspension problems with my car Q7 Audi 2007. Would you like to recommend me to the nearest garage. Can you do it? I’m in north London. Thanks

Hi Steve have you tried to filled the reservoir with shop air from outlet of compressor via active test to shuttle valves in block thus will test for leaks in exhaust valve and pressure sensor ( sounds like compressor though piston scored probably or read valve spanked strange why it took compressor out in couple of months either cheap shit or other problem ??

I worked on Ford and a little bit of Benz air suspension. That pressure loss can’t be normal as soon as compressor is shut off. If you’re convinced of no leaks, that really must be the problem.

can you connect everything back up apart from the compressor and use your own air compressor to test if the car will rise and level up itself, that will tell you whether or not the solenoid is working

So what was the issue with the air leak? Was it the compressor at the end of the day? Your compressor only went to 3.... bar my one goes up to 0.65 bar. Could it be the compressor? Changed the valve block there is no leak to be found

Have you sprayed round with a soapy water bottle on the valve block and compressor to find where the decay is leaving

That scanner actually has launch software. Lotta brands use the same software. Cuz i have launch.

Which part holds the pressure? If its the valve block and it looses pressure straight away surely thats faulty.... The compressor only pumps. Thats its job. I reckon it leaking from the valve block internaly.
The strange noise from the pump is proberly due to less back pressure so its spinning more freely. Like an electric water pump when its out of water..

    • @SimplyDiagnostics

It can only make 3.9 Bar when dead headed mate 👍

    • @shaunsautorepairs5410
      @shaunsautorepairs5410 4 года назад

@@SimplyDiagnostics yes i appreciate that but if you could dead head it between the compressor and valve block you would see true compressor pressure..
Is the valve block a changeable item or part of a single unit?

So my pressure sensor reports 5.6 bar... With still the same codes as you...1583 and 1400... And my compressor sounds a lot wors than your i must say! and no leak anywhere. The customer will have to change it... but does not want to...

  • @parna121

Why not try a smoke test to see if you can see leaks...
