My t420i suddentl stoped booting.now when ibpress oower button only the power button light stays green . No change in behavior even if I remove ram and hdd and wifi card and speakers and touch pad .tried booting by remobing hdd.nothing on screen . Remived batttery and directly connected the charger .no display on screen .no beeps .any hints whxih area shoudl I check?
U can push and hold the ram memory (use a single stick first) while pressing the power on button. If this method is not working, maybe the motherboard has defected.
I have the same laptop, mate. . Exactly same. . The problem is the LCD is just blinking, mate. . And the power button is blinking as well like in sleep mode. . Any suggestion, mate?

Hello, these capacitors at the main 19v line. They are usually 25v , 10uf rated. As they are in parallel mode with others, you can leave it without replacement. But if you want to replace it, u need to reconfirm the value based on the schematic diagram.

You can try with different ram stick (1 stick) and different charger. If you dont have it, just bring and try at nearest repair shop.

No need jumper. Just release it from motherboard.

Mine shows 0 voltage at first main 19v circuit but theres no problem neither with the charging port nor the charger
Try checking the charger output 19v. If theres 19v, maybe the socket itself has loose.
