Ibhave t420i .when i press power button onlyvitvstays light upbsolid .and no other light or beeb etc .even if o remove ram hdd keyboard etc.on board all connectiksb are ok . Any guidance.i wilp open board for repairs

Nice work brother, I would like to know the reason you removed the current sensor resistor and connect +19V, would anything bad happen if the resistor could still be in place? Thank you.

When ever there is a shorting inside the motherboard, this is the best way to find out, if you inject low voltage through the CLR resistor, the ampier goes directly to the shorted component & it starts heating.

@@sigmatech365 Many thanks for the swift reply. What if you could have injected the power through the CLR resistor without removing it (because you removed it first), could any damage occur? I just want to put myself clear on this. Otherwise, thanks for the video, the trick of finding a short is very nice.

Removing the CLR can determine which side the shorting is present & which side you can inject the voltage
