Is this a common problem with these? I've had a couple t420s that just out of nowhere no power no boot, but the battery charges. Explains why they are so affordable. Thank you
Hello sir, I have a problem with the same lenovo T420, it won't turn on when I press power. On the PSU the ampere is also not moving, if the cpu chipset is installed the ampere does not move, and a lot of short capacitors if the cpu is not installed the ampere goes up 0,16A and the capacitor that was short becomes not short and the area is warm on the U5 chipset, what should I do, thank you very much

possible due to its age, but still doable if you have a working unit, you can compare the measurements

cpu have a very low resistance,around 10 ohms only. it mightnotbe shorted
nust follow the 19Volts rail, where it disappear

what i do when it is not available locally, I search it in aliexpress. They have it almost every chip you need.
