    Was hoping to see training on casting with this little fella. I’ve used your “clutch” videos to train my Boykin and he’s doing very well.

    I had dogs all my life but never trained and rewarded with a treat. My dogs reward was a word of praise and a rub on the head or body.

    Seems like a great time to incorporate a hand signal as well? Great video as always!

    My dog learned sit very quickly and whistle sit not long after but I must have goofed up something because I cannot get him to “sit stay”. I just cannot get him to do it and increase distance.

    This isn't related to the video but I am collor conditioning my dog to come I seen you guys use vibrate but I have a old d t system that doesn't have vibrate so I use some continuous stimulation on level 1 for come but I just read a book to not use continuous stimulation if you are inexperienced and to use nick should I just use nick and keep pressing it for come? Thanks.

    Thank you for this awesome video! You mentioned that the dummy you are using can be purchased on your site. I went there but there are multiple dummies, so I didn't k how which one to order... . Which is the one you use, or even better , which is the best one for a first dummy ? I have a 5 month old vizsla. Thank you! 🙏

    He seems like he is responding to your whistle moving to your lips more than it whistle sound. How do you bridge that behavior.

    Could you please do a video or multiple vids of all the whistle commands I need to know for training my Labrador. I have a 4 month old lab from top UK lines so I really want to get his training right to maximise his potential

      I'll give you a bit of advice. Don't make that dog sit on a retrieve. You want that dog coming back with that retrieve with pace not just plodding !

    Is it common for a black lab to tire out quicker than a yellow lab on a warm day?

    • @sergioanacleto3999
      @sergioanacleto3999 3 года назад

      Their black coat would make them hotter, but only if the sun is out. It's because darker colors absorb radiation better, without the sun there's no incoming radiation to heat up the dog. But that only effects overheating, not tiring out.

    YAWA QUESTION: is there a whistle recommendation for a partially def dog, the fiance brought home an mix pup over a year ago that he and his litter mates had been "dumped" vet estimated he was less than 3 weeks old at the time. And that although we tried our best with milk replacer, we all know nothing is better than what momma could have gave at an early age, hence the partial hearing ability, just to sit I feel like I'm having to shout my lungs out. Really no clue what kinda mix he is no plans for a hunting dog except possible bay dog for pigs.

    I know I am I in the minority here but have a tendency not to introduce whistle training until they know their hand commands as well. For me it's always just worked out better. All I do is the stop/sit with the one long blast and then the come command. He knows the hand commands for either of those and by incorporating the hand commands at the same time that I blow the whistle I just find they train to it quicker.

    Sit then the whisle.....they will hear the whistle and in their mind think oh shit I should already be sitting. You get a faster whisle sit. Just my take on this drill. Hope it helps you guys

    There is one thing I miss, rigth at very beginning and on during video. You always aks your dog to do smthng, but never release him. Think that is a very important thing with fooundations. Teaching on and off for a dog is basics.
