Perfect timing. I have your easy lead and have been working my 5 1/2 month GSP talking her for walks and she’s been doing great. Didn’t know the collar conditioning was the next step. Time to get to work. Thanks. Hank
Great videos I'm from the uk but love your channel, i lost my springer spaniel early this year he was a good hunting dog, saw your video on pointing using the fishing rod and believed it or not their was another guy on RUclips using that same method, you could see that the Brittany spaniel he was trainjng was doing exactly what you was saying not too do, but then he allowed the pup too catch the grouse wing he was using
I'm on my way to review the side I was useing the leash loup in my black mouth and blue coat females eight month age brindles, cause they are progresing slow. They fear to the noises cars and people yelling. Maybe I put'em so early in streets environment but I never had another options. I did not choose the babies, they just came to me. I already have a nine pak. Thank you so much to StandingStoneKennels.
At what age do you recommend starting This heeling process with the slip lead and collar conditioning? I purchased one of your slip leads and collars from your site. Also, when you are using the collar in this video, is that a vibration you are using with him ? Or an actual nic?
Ok...TRAINER DUDEMAN-YOURE SO AWESOME AND SO IS YOUR MR POINTER DOGDOG! OMG HES SO WELL BEHAVED! That shows me something about him as a dog and you as a trainer so thank you just giving you some feedback
StandingStoneKennels is there a big difference between the two? We have use the gentle leader in the past and are getting a new puppy later this summer and are trying to figure out what will be best. Thanks!
What do you recommend if the E-Collar only has Vibrate and Shock? We have a 2 year old Female GSP who is continuously trying to pull through the easy lead. She is e-collar trained so I am trying to work on the easy lead pulling more.
Jeremy Matlock Go to their site, on the drop down click store then recommended items. You will see a photo of the leash. Click on it and it brings you to where you can buy.
when you start "collar conditioning" are you using a collar with audible tone or one with vibration? I imagine it probably doesnt mattter as long as it's consistent but am curious what you use and why.
I have been working on this with my GSP pup, Finn. He is 9 weeks old. When I get the leash in place he starts trembling and gets anxious. I have just been putting the leash around his muzzle and standing so he gets used to this. I don’t do this for long because of the trembling. I just want to make sure I’m not causing anxiety that will be hard to correct because of his trembling.
Would I be better off waiting to run with the dog until I get him to a consistent "loose leash" point or am I able to run with him when he has the leash wrapped around the muzzle?
My pup is 4 1/2 months and I just started to try training with the easy lead. Whenever pressure is applied he shakes and then refuses to move. No matter how many gentle tugs are used. What do you suggest. Am I scaring him with the tension to where he’ll be afraid to go on leash in general now
No don’t do it right away. Wait until you notice the dog is walking by you on the leash and not pulling. And then do what he did in the video and say heel while waking around and he will figure it out.
@@StandingStoneKennels ive gone to several trainers and while he will tolerate a muzzle (service dog desensitization purposes) he will absolutely not do gentle leaders they freak him out and he panics.
this is such a pateint dog, all this pulling and pushing at him duringn the demostration! I could hardly watch it, but wanted to seethe rest of thevideo too. Anyway, I'm not convinced, sorry to say so.

That’s awesome!! Thanks for watching!
I really appreciate these videos. My dog was a little stubborn but these training tips got him squared away. Thank you!
I'm definitely watching more of your videos
Just ordered two of these for our dogs, we're excited to begin training them. Thanks for the great videos showing how to use your products.

When do you add in the verbal "heel"?
Help! Just adopted the sweetest 5 month old GSP, but she’s a puller. Do you use the standard 4.5 foot easy lead or is the 6 recommended?
The standard should be great!
At what age do you recommend starting

Hi where can I get one from please
On our website!!
What is the difference between your lead and a gentle leader? Thanks!
Might need to do a stand-alone video on comparing it to other leads!

Overlaying nick with the lead would be whats necessary
Sorry..How can i get one of your leashes? I have looked and all the ones i have seen are just not like the one you use .
Jeremy Matlock
Check their website. It’s probably linked in the description.
@ thanks . I just cant find it ??
@ i just found it ...sweet thank you again 🤙🤙

When you move to the E-collar with leash training are you shocking or vibrating for correction ?
Stimulation on the collar!
Set at what ? Dogtra ?
What is the exact age of dog for healing?

Nick only for collar pressure.
At what point do you introduce the verbal cue of "heel?" Or did I miss that...
Once we start to see an understanding of walking by our side we can start to introduce the cue!
Love your training techniques! I won't go broke using treats....
So glad!

Can this method work with older dogs as well? I am guessing if so it will take longer?
Yes!!
My dog is 2 and 1/2 years old . Is he still young enough to learn with time?
can you do this she video with a puppy who isn't as good as vex?
Would I be better off waiting to run with the dog until I get him to a consistent "loose leash" point or am I able to run with him when he has the leash wrapped around the muzzle?

Who can i get one of your leashes .
So for the E collar, how much power are we talking? The typical low side to where it is just a tingle, or are we talking a littler higher voltage
When you talk about tapping the electric collar, you mean nicking, sound or a light current? Not clear what you mean.
Gorgeous dog! Looks alot like mine, only smaller. Mines 80lbs.😁😂
I bought one and put it in my dog and she freaked out. Is there a video about what to do in a panic mode from the dog. She is 7 months old
when do you begin to use the verbal "heel" command? Right away on the first session?
No don’t do it right away. Wait until you notice the dog is walking by you on the leash and not pulling. And then do what he did in the video and say heel while waking around and he will figure it out.
How old is this dog?
6 months ish!
Just a normal British slip lead is all anyone needs. Walk in squares. Simple as that.
My dog doesn't accept things over his face ever he gets it right off
I disagree and would be happy to help you!
@@StandingStoneKennels ive gone to several trainers and while he will tolerate a muzzle (service dog desensitization purposes) he will absolutely not do gentle leaders they freak him out and he panics.
I believe I could help you and him.
I didn’t know you could make dogs into horses 🐎
No dog will properly untill it is fully relieved.
How much for that dog?
Sorry not for sale!!
HaHaHa
Only idiots use easy lead. It's unnecessarily pressuring the dog and doesn't teach it proper. Seek better trainers.
