- Learn how to make a printable floor plan with Sketchup.
I'm using Sketchup Pro for this tutorial, which allows you to create printable floor plans with dimensions. This feature is not available in the free version.

I have been watching SketchUp videos for two weeks. I've got SketchUp for dummies. Nobody has pointed out the difference between SketchUp pro and the free users version. I've got piles a 24x36 prints without dimensions. This one video is the one that explains it. You do a very good job going step by step. Unlike other videos they think you know everything when you are watching videos to learn. Keep up the good work you gained another subscriber🤔
That's great. Have you seen our tutorials as well?
Thanks for saying “Pro” right up front. I’ve gone through a few videos that don’t bother to say until ten minutes later they’re nonchalantly using some Pro feature. I have the Go version, which seems to be the middle stepchild as far as getting useful information.
I found this channel the very best for beginners to learn SketchUp. Thank you!
Very Clear and Very Easy to Understand, Thank you for this video. New Subscriber here. Keep creating new tutorial videos!
Impressive ❤❤
Im not a pro at all. I'm planning on using the program for designing woodworking projects. However, we are going to have a house built with our own layout. Doing my own floor plan puts things in reality for me. This video is very helpful.
Is there a pay to put your "scene" onto a graph paper to show the measurements?
For example 1/4 inch square = 1ft?

Hi, may I know how to print it according to its exact scale?
I don’t have experience with printing exact scale, but I’ll definitely make a video if I end up playing around with it.
Ctrl and 1 Does NOT work on windows ...... I have Sketchup Pro, Win 11 Pro
Good to know. Sorry, I’m using a Mac

Awesome video! Can you do a video of converting this in 3d?
If you wanted to make this 3D, you could use the Push/Pull tool to raise the walls. However, if you were actually designing the framing of the house you would want to start a separate project.

@4:47 you say the correct demintions of the lumber but you type in athe wrong size. instead of 5.5 you put in 6.5
@ 4:27 “We’ll assume there’s a half inch of finish on each side of the wall, giving us a total wall thickness of 6.5 inches.”
