Never heard such a perfect TM speech to date....so natural, no drama, a perfect balance of tone and structure. Awesome job!
Great Speech! And the best part is his style is so natural unlike most contest speeches - no exaggerated gestures, unnatural facial expressions ,etc. Brilliant speech with focused content!
I really liked the emotional part of this story. i felt that it was natural. Some Toastmasters do acting which I really hate.They just memorized and act in a stage. Your speech was well organized and touch my heart. Fantastic job
Thanks a lot Subhra, that's very kind of you! I agree, many of these speeches are very "acted". This competition is geared toward that style, but my preference is to make speaking as conversational as possible. I tried to bring that into my performance but it can be tough to do in a memorized speech. Look up James Jeffly's speeches (a TM member) to see someone who does it brilliantly. Cheers!
