That was absolutely amazing. My son is autistic and battles the same label issue every day. Your speech truly made an impact. Thank you!

Christopher, thank you for the comment. It was such an honor to be a voice for kids dealing with autism. You know firsthand just how amazing they are.

Public speaking is not acting nor motivating, but its about addressing public issues, identifying and offering opinion solutions

Excellent speech & great topic - Today especially, I find once you are labelled (branded) it is very (very) hard to change that label - many do not give you a second chance - and we are always changing, usually for the better, as we grow & refine the many aspects of ourselves

Thank you for the insightful comment. I completely agree. I love the words of John C. Maxwell when he says we don't go thru Life, we grow thru Life. Keep growing, my friend!

Thx Eric - loved your speech - excellent message we must keep repeating to everyone constantly - to try and give others a 2nd & even 3rd chance - we are all human and many times, learning from our own made mistakes is the best (and only) way to learn from

He delivered his speech like a poem. I agree with the hand gesture comments as a bit over-acting. There was way too much walking as well and so over the top emphasis on "Claaaaaaaaaaaaaw-game!"

I feel that this one has a stark similarity with 2013 World Championship by PRESIYAN VASILEV.

Not fond of the delivery. I found the embellishments to be distracting

Not great. Must have been an easy year to win it, Copied some things from the previous year.

Good speech but overuse of hand gestures which was quite distracting

  • @seemalsaif6059
    @seemalsaif6059 7 лет назад +13

I feel the hand gestures are way too much . Toastmaster needs to be a bit more about public speaking and less about acting or acrobats

    • @charismaticcommunication2458

Seemal Saif It seems strange but in the speaking competition you get extra points for body language...I found it weird at first to.
      Are you a toastmaster?
      Where are you from?

    • @manuem4340

      Charismatic Communication
but great public speakers outside toastmasters don’t do this much movements and hand gestures
Deliberate movements and gestures make it a performance for competition
