I used to be terrified of public speaking before. Then I went to college and as part of the curriculum, I had to speak and make presentations in front of a large class of fellow students and professors. The first few minutes were tense, I felt my hands trembling holding the microphone, my legs feeling a little unsteady, my heart thumping out of my chest. However, in a few minutes, all that was gone and I had the audience with me. That's when I knew I loved this.

    • @god5535
      @god5535 3 года назад

Same. I took theater arts for a semester in college, (attended the speech club in college) and finally now make totally raw and impromptu podcasts without any jump cuts or edits.
Although I will not even scratch the surface to this guy's ability I realize that with practice anything is possible. I am very self-conscious about my voice and accent and even talking fast and mumbling.... but all these tweaks made me more confident.

Unfortunately, I did not progress much. I think it is time for me to reconsider, re-think, re-plan to make better progress in my life, my career and my family.
Sometimes people see something in us that we can't see in ourselves, however the point is that we need to make a move, take the very first step. It's the first step of moving forward that may actually be the most difficult, letting go of what's holding us back. Else, they really don’t know what it is. 👦

I have noticed that you really love speaking. Your way of delivering your words can be seen with the emotion you have given to the audience. All the words you have chosen are only suitable to entertain the viewers, not to mention that with your skills you have inspired many students, especially those who are in the field of English teaching. Hello
Something I have been in search for quite sometime is a connection with somebody that goes beyond vanity. It's very hard to do in this day and age. People can be, somewhat very superficial.
On my quest to achieve this I have learnt a lot about human nature. It seems to me that those who are not given traits such as beauty or being wealthy are some of the nicest, kindest and generous people.
While the "gorgeous" and well off seem to be the most arrogant and greedy people out there. Of course that's not to say there aren't beautiful kind people out there.
I've been in the process of change for a while now and I have made some decent changes but don't you just hate it when people can't let go of your past mistakes.
I saw your profile and it intrigued me. I wanted to learn more about who you are and what type of path you would like on in life. Can we talk?

This kept me hooked for the entire 7 odd minutes. Would like to mention something though - if you have great people around you who genuinely value you, are your well wishers and try to bring the best in you, be grateful to the universe(and to those people of course) as not everyone have them. But in any case, your life is YOUR responsibility and you yourself need to find a way out of the mess life at times put you in. Let's not wait for any angel to sort things out for you. Be your own angel. Thanks for reading. Hope you have a good life.

I love this... watching this for the first time, you'll never know what's coming or how the story gonna is gonna end. You'll end up laughing at intervals, keeping eyes out for flaws and lapses and at the end of the video, realize you just watched something truly amazing, maybe the greatest speech on RUclips.

    Dananjaya Congratulations !
Dananjaya, is an amazing human being. When I first met him at Virtusa at a lunch table I saw something special in him. I knew what it was that I was sure this handsome man would go long long way. Not only because of his personality you see, but also of his ability to listen to and ability to talk and advice someone through his vision. Several times I had lunch with him and we shared our stories . He is an AMAZING HUMAN BEING. I am fortunate to say that he is a friend of mine.

I think I accidentally stumbled across this video on RUclips and I am now grateful this video was in my search results! The speech is simply impressive, from start to finish. Mr Dananjaya nailed it and I still remember his signature message "I see something in you but I don't know what it is!"! I have watched this speech several times and it energizes me every time. When I first watched this speech, I had no plan of joining Toastmasters. Interesting how my first Toastmasters meeting was yesterday and I am actually planning to become an official member! Thank you Mr Hettiarachchi for the great inspirational speech! P.S. I am proud a fellow Sri Lankan won the 2014 competition!

A simple text crafted intelligently to conform to judging criteria to maximize scoring and not to speak of the natural, smooth delivery. The prop (rose) played a pivotal role in providing the speech with an attention grabbing opening and an effective conclusion. The lacing of humor and engaging the audience with questions also played a role in maximizing scoring. The best part of course is the simple, natural delivery without extravagant gestures and body language.

This video is very profound, illustrating the importance of family and their roles in life. The transformation of a fearless person due to their mother is a significant testament. The father in the video is an idol; instead of just supporting him unconditionally, he guides him on the right path. The core message of the video is that it’s never too late to change your life. If you don’t take action now, it may become even harder later. However, the key is to keep moving forward, relying on those who genuinely guide you, even if they aren’t your closest friends.

Sir, I'm here by axidently. But, I've watched your video, when I was a British way student. Actually I hadn't watched your videos or I hadn't heard your name, before I face to that challenge call public speaking competition. Before I go there I mean British way I had present many speeches front of other students, teachers and others in sinhala without any preparation. But I didn't know how to do it in English. I didn't have any idea about it. There for I asked our mam for an idea. She played this video on our class TV. After that I could get more many ideas from your presentation style. Then I faced to that competition. Do you know dear uncle, after I face to it, they've selected me as the best public speaker. I give that credit to you and that mam who theached us when I was British way. Because if you both weren't there, I'll not be able to become the best public speaker. Thanks for that. And also this is that video what did she show me before face to competition. There for this is specialone to me😊❤.
I'm srilankan student name call wenuja manudula. I'm really expecting your reply if you free. If you read this till hear, much thanks you. Have a good day😊❤
