@@Oxigenium1 Its not shaming at all, in fact, if you can tell by the mood and atmosphere, the audience wasn't making fun of him when they were laughing. Hello, fellow new and semi-experienced public speakers. I've been a public speaker for decades and although I'm not interested in making a video about it I thought I'd share some knowledge on what I've learned. Public speaking is a skill you can learn just like you first learned to ride a two-wheeled bike. To learn how to ride a bike you first needed to assemble all the ingredients. [A bike, road or driveway, helmet, maybe knee and elbow pads.] The same is true of public speaking. My experience as a speaker as well as studying other speakers has taught me the four main ingredients needed to give a good presentation. They are: #1] Be comfortable and relaxed. [Duh!] I'll explain how to easily master that. #2] Have respect for your audience. Be sure you are giving them, leaving them with, something of value. #3] Know your subject! You have no right to get up and speak if your knowledge on the subject is less than at least the human average. Study! You don't need to be an expert but earn your right to publically speak about the subject you've chosen. #4] Put yourself into your delivery. BE YOURSELF! Honestly, you'll never please everyone but if you try to be someone that you're not, you'll probably end up pleasing no one. Just be your honest self and let the chips fall where they may. Those are the 4 top points I'd recommend. The 4 ingredients that make up a good speech and speaker. Obviously, there are other tips like write your speech and be sure to edit it a few times. Make your speech tight and fast. I'll write a three-page speech and by the time I've condensed my thoughts and edited it, I'll be down to a single page. Tight, fast, and hard-hitting. Your audience deserves no less. I always end a talk with a take-home gift for the audience if possible. Most of my speeches are on science-based self-manipulation practices. So it's easy to offer a take-home gift that if the information is used at home it will improve their lives. Get creative, create a gift. If you are not yet experienced in public speaking you'll need to PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, your speech at least 10 times over 3 to 5 days. After the first day, your subconscious will start working on it and better prepare you for your second day of practice. It's a lot of work but so was learning to ride your bike at the beginning. Later in your career, you'll pick up your bike at a moment's notice and just ride it naturally. Okay, so this is the tip that will have you standing comfortably and relaxed while speaking in front of any sized audience. The hardest part to overcome for public speaking is in standing up, breathing, and thinking all at the same time. Everything else can be put together, assembled, or prepared beforehand but how can you prepare yourself to be comfortable and relaxed? Before even choosing your subject, writing/editing your speech, or committing to giving a talk, practice the following exercise. Remember, what we want to achieve is to have you standing up, speaking, breathing, and feeling comfortable all at the same time. #1] to give a good speech one must know their subject. [Everyone knows their ABCs and everyone can count to 60.] #2] Get professionally dressed up, as you would when you're doing the real thing. #3] Stand in your living room, face the couch, and slowly recite your ABCs. [Pronounce each letter as if it were a word. Use body language, use emotions.] #4] Recite your ABCs, then count out loud to 60, then recite your ABCs again. The purpose of this exercise is to get you up on your feet learning how to stand, breathe, talk, and feel relaxed all at the same time. Eventually, your speech will replace your ABCs and counting out loud to 60. If you've done your homework you'll be able to pull it off just as easily. As a bonus, if you can, assemble a few friends who also want to learn this skill you can take turns doing this in front of each other. Listen to each other and offer each other advice on how to improve. If alone, practice your hand and body movements, making eye contact with the couch, and make some occasional pauses in your already fully memorized ABC/count to 60 speech. Within days you'll feel so much more comfortable standing up and speaking out loud. Sorry to say but even after decades of public speaking I still get a nervous rush before every talk but that nervousness - completely dissipates - as soon as I start talking. Public speaking is just another skill anyone can master if willing to do the work. Hope this helps. :) The Geriatric Hippie P*E*A*C*E

The best thing about this video this that it emulated and mimicked the situation and room full of people where you would actually give a presentation. It replicated those stresses and conditions and pressures and scenarios where you will actually be when doing and TALKING the Presentation Speech! Just panning the camera and showing the audience In the video and the strong teacher and how their faces look and react and change with your words really made me realize how important controlling your talking and controlling your audiences emotions and riling them up and causing them to calm and placate and then rile up again at impactful moments you want to capitalize their Attention and will/desire to change and follow your Suggestions/Orders and directions ideas wishes etc really is. A good video, though fiction, is Marc Antony's Speech. Search that sentence up on RUclips and you can find a few examples really good ones of Oration!

1) Turn on all lights instead of dimming them. 2) Make the very first thing you say a question in order to motivate interest. 3) Never stand behind a podium (and never sit unless you are physically unable to stand). 4) Focus all of your content on what you want the viewer to do after the talk is over as a result of the talk. If there is no answer to this, do not give the talk.

I often try to set my mind on the needs of the audience---and that is to just do my job as a speaker in general. Being nervous is normal, but the progress is already there before you even know it. This is a great learning content, by the way.
Ranjit's presentation was the same as when I did my first presentation at junior high school. at that time I was awkward, not confident, afraid, tense. at the time of the presentation I did not dare to look at the audience, I did not dare to meet face to face like a person who is talking. I just looked at the paper continuously until I was like someone who was reading a dictionary without smiling at all. At the time of the lecture I was able to present well, see the audience's eyes, chat with the audience, stare at the audience with self-paint, smile and involve the audience's role in my presentation.
he didn't degrade him. and he talked as he knows and conveys the fact that we all have something we can improve about ourselves. he didnt at all make him feel bad about existing. even the classmates- they helped. it is possible to help our peers feel and become better

I really liked that he was considerate and thoughtful in encouraging constructive feedback. Because negative feedback or making fun of others could upset them and make them perform worse. Let's be kinder to one another 👍
@@brainactivity737 Exactly 💜
Right. The teacher shows how to do it better and gives him another chance.
The teacher's voice is so amazingly deep! Well done Project IDEA

I've done about 10 presentation, overall in a group, the first I couldn't breathe properly, then it got easier, I cool look at people more and spoke louder and more confidence, the key is practise and being aware of your mistakes, also I uncontrollably volunteered to present first, always.
Does.presentimg first help?
@@side5029 Yes, volunteering to present first is the best way to introduce controlled novelty into your being, it's like going to the gym for your confidence.
@@side5029 Yep, presenting later would just build up the pressure more and more.
I did a presentation today and the first part was good. I made eye contact and talked about my topic well but at the end I ended up rambling and stuttering and some questions I didn’t know how to answer. Now I think I failed :(
I wanna get better but it’s hard not to get nervous when you know others are judging your every move.
its ok ..best of luck for the next time :)
Stop thinking about others judging you. Think that life is very short for that so be yourself and stop locking yourself in, you will enjoy your life better if you stop caring about them
This one time I was super nervous and I felt a bit better a 2 minutes in and I overcame the anxiety. Well, not even in the middle of it I begun feeling ill and I just stuttered and rambled over the words. I said the last sentence twice in a small voice before my head started spinning so I had to say straight out "I can't do this, I feel ill", I almost fainted. I was sickly pale. I am sure, if I hadn't said that I would have fallen.
Ever since that day, I've refused to do presentations. I felt so humaliated. I wish I could do presentations, or anything overall.
@@accountnolongerinuse2044 I have the same experience too as my mind goes blank and I can't continue further on putting on a strong upfront. I end up being really self conscious throughout the way. I just wanted to say that it's ok. There's always ways to fight the enxiety if one willing to back up despite how many times failing. I'm looking for a way to improve my presentation and communication skills. I read somewhere that one can't do two things at the same time so if you divert your attention to somewhere else other than yourself, you naturally ignored the negative thoughts inside your mind.
@@polastankova Two years but I just wanted to say that you’re right!
my teachers used to tell us to look at the audience all the time and be relaxed, i was shy a few years ago but after i became more extroverted i realized i needed to chill out and make the presentation fun and make the audience pay attention
For the presentation
1-- Who must have eye contact with the audience (not obisously with everyone but with someone)👀👀👀
2 nd is smile 🤗☺️☺️

they broke a rib laughing at his phone going off
This 5 minute was really useful, we touch the difference between first presentation and the second and how Ranjit improvement was, the simple feedbacks made all the difference 👏
This is how we inspire our students to show the best of them
I wish, I would be blessed with a kindhearted teacher who is more than friends

For the good presentation - we have to take full knowledge about that topic which we have to present in class 🤓
This create a more confidence in ourselves ☺
I’m screwed. My group is completely disorganized and we’re going to do a presentation tomorrow.
How'd it go
Turned out fine. We passed.
Good job
Same, we're presenting tomorrow. We're going to pass too probably but it could have been done so much better...
It's nice that yours turned out fine!
Theodora Papageorgiou Thanks. Same case, it could have went much better if our group was better organized.
What matters though is that we passed. Next year, we will do our best.
Such a humble and kind teacher. I really wanna be like him
the teacher is too kinddddd
if only students were like that by taking feedbacks, we could speedrun the universe.
I have a question. How can you connect to the audience if you cannot relate to the topic you must present?
Jeanelle Ediso true
Try to make it real and put yourself in the same position of someone who lived the story , with a bit of convincing skills you'll do great
fake it
Find a place that you can connect to your topic, then use that place to connect your topic with your audience. If you can find something to aspire to, or agree with - even argue against for your topic, then your personal passion will energize your audience, too.
You would always relate such as war you are always in a war wih yourself whether it be family friends what ever just be bold and express yourself give your freaking cv to the ceo of an engineering firm face to face saying that college degrees are useless shou need supernatural confidence if they laugh you off keep going to every freaking firm you want to work in just do it practical experience always beats theory you can become a surgeon without even going to kinder gardern
In films there are only 2 types of British people, the old wise teacher and the greedy business villain.
What a great teacher and what a great student... most importantly audience are supportive
This video is underrated ! It deserves more views!
I can see his progress on this video, and for me, it's a useful lesson. Thank you so much !

Lol I remember my teacher showing us this in a lecture a year ago. I just typed "good presentation", nice work lol
The title should be : Bad Presentation VS Simple Presentation .. did you guess why !!

One thing they didn't mention is the tone of your voice. Even the tiniest of inflections will produce more engagement. Cadence as well. You can experience this yourself right now by replaying the video and listening to both presentations without the visuals. His voice is distinct in each one.
Thank you for making this excellent video! I will be using this as a teaching tool in the future. I teach ESL/EFL, and my students often struggle with several of the issues you mentioned here. Even better, all of the actors in this video spoke at a great speed and vocabulary level for my students. PERFECT!

Great job ,the use of body language is very important in any presentation in order to make the audience follow you.
The teacher of Ranjit is very supportive & positive minded Person😇👍🏻 ; I wish that every student🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♂️ have a teacher 🧑🏻🏫like him😊
I often try to set my mind on the needs of the audience---and that is to just do my job as a speaker in general. Being nervous is normal, but the progress is already there before you even know it. This is a great learning content, by the way.
I really enjoyed every bit of the 5 minutes . I will be having a presentation in 4days time . I am glad I saw this
A teacher like this really attracts the students to classroom
What did Ranjit do wrong? He did not memorize his script.
Another great trick is to start with a question, this way you capture your audience from the very first moment.
A beautiful and useful video, but in reality when presenting the presentation in front of the master, the cans of fear and anxiety dominate👻🏌️
We really need this kinda teacher in life ❤

I Feel LIKE THE HOLE SEASON IS OVER, I'M TRYING TO GET INTO TRADING AS A ROOKIE, BUT IVE HAD SO MUCH LOSS TRYING TO TRADE ON MY OWN, PLEASE WHAT STRATEGIES DO I NEED TO EARN PROFITS FROM THE MARKET😢🤢
I came here to learn how to trade after listening to this video I'm still confused, I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas.🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
The best strategy to use in trading is to trade a professional who understands the market quite well, that way maximum profit is guaranteed💯💯. Because l have learned along the way of my investment that research and analysis are important, note that experience is more needed, than luck when it comes to the financial market.💵📈📊

Yeah you're right, most times it amazes me greatly the way I moved from an average lifestyle to earning over $62k per month🚀, utter shock is the word. I have understood a lot in the past few years to doubt that opportunities abound in the financial markets, The only thing is to know where to focus.🗽🗽🏯🏯🏯

Nice way of showing good and bad presentations. Connection with the audience is the key
Its totally fine to have anxiety and fear of public speaking . Firstly by acknowledging the problemis crucial which further pushes you to think for a solution.
Just tell yourself that be a person who you are , dont try to exaggerate stay proactive, dont think too much about what others are thinking...
I know it ia easy to explain the solution but Devil is in practical situation. I understand that, i have gone through all such phase.
Here is bitter truth you need to keep in mind, You never get rid of anxiety, you only become better in dealing with it.
So resolved to engage , take initiative by keeping in mind growth mindset.
