I Installed the 7” screen on my 2014 4Runner it’s easy to install. The hardest part was the cameras. Overall very easy and much better than stock!

Great vid…please make an Alpine bundle for the FJ Cruiser! I can’t tell you how many people in the FB owners group ask about new head units. I think the iLX-F509 is perfect for the FJ as it allows access to all the dash controls and doesn’t block the vents.

couple of quick questions. So this unit uses the OEM cameras or I need to install new cams. It does not work with the existing Mic or GPS antenna ? Thanks
Also the video say the "standard" install is 3 main factory connectors, and then adds antenna. However the materials on your website shows a reverse camera harness too (i.e. quote "For 2014 - 2019 4Runners you will be making 4 main vehicle connections". - but the video doesn't say anything about.
Yep, you're right! 14 - 19 will have 4! So sorry for the oversight but we appreciate you VERY much!
2 questions does the camera button work for the factory rear and front camera? Also with the stock MTM side cameras how do they work? How would we make our usb stck work for music?

Great question! Our Alpine bundles will retain your factory cameras, but you may need to update the firmware on the head unit after install. Feel free to reach out to our support team for instructions on that update!

I have a 2024 Limited. Does the resolution of the front, back and side cameras improve with the Alpine? Or is the camera the weak link?
We haven't had any complaints about the resolution thus far! We also sell Alpine brand front and rear cameras which pair beautifully with our Alpine head units!
How long does Apple Car play / Android Auto take to start? Also does it always make those sounds/voices on startup?
CarPlay/AA start up very quickly. Any noises or prompts can be turned on or off.
Looking to add this to me 19 4runner but would like to add a anytime front rear camera function. Can i plug that in just like a factory headunit?

I have the ICS Fab mount installed currently. Is that compatible with the Alpine installation / easy to install with it?
Cliff has the Alpine ILX-F509 in his truck with the ICS Dash Mount and it fits and looks great! Your head unit will come with a new dash face plate that the mount will need to be transferred on to.
Reminds me of Jimmy Kimmel - FYI, it comes w a bag of black screws for the screen mounting, says to use the 4-m5 screws to attach screen mount after it clicks in. You’re using m4 screws , Whats odd is the m4 screws seem to go in nicer. But the m5 screws have more bite. I hope instructions weren’t wrong!!

Why did you call out the power connector (i.e 24:22 mark) -- could there be multiple ones that fit? Asking because I just tried to install this kit this weekend and I was unsuccessful - nothing turned on. Im worried I did not connect to power. Any help
For 2020+ there's two connectors that are the same size and one of them controls power. So, if you plug in the wrong one it won't power on. For 2014 - 2019 this does not apply.

Can the factory 3.5mm input functionality be retained on a 2018 4runner? maybe as Aux?
Does the bundle have obd functionalty, for tire pressure and temps etc?

It actually can be retained! We didn't in this video because this was being put in a 2020. Yep, the Alpine kits have gauges, etc. as well!
Do you have to add a resistor between the OBD2 and the head unit’s power for the TPMS to be read by the headunit? I had this problem with the iLX-F309 for the 4runner

El conector de la computadora viene de 22 pines, pero se que existen adaptadores que pueden pasar a OBD2 de 16 Pines, podría sacarle provecho al radio? Is there navigation/gps integrated into the unit or is it just whatever you use on your cell phone?

Great question! No additional wing is required for the OEM cameras!

@@TrailGridPro Thank you. I know it's stated but I have not seen a shot of the 360 cam on any of the units. Doing far research into a 4runner purchase currently. Gotta jump before they ruin them! Might want to stress this function for those who have the feature. It gets muddied by the front and rear cameras from Alpine....seeming like you need their cameras for front view. I will for sure be purchasing this system if I can get myself into a T4R. Kudos for allowing audiophiles to have good sound in their Toyota's in an easy to install package.
Is this better than the SoNY 9500 that you had prior?
I wouldn't say either one is better per se, they both have their strong points!
does the 11 inch alpine screen fit in the 4runner or will it block the AC vents?
Yep, it fits and will not block the vents!
Can I I use the 4Runner original GPS antenna?
The Alpine units do require use of their provided GPS antenna as shown in the video.

It maintains your factory rear camera functionality!

Not yet! Alpine bundles for 2003 - 2013 4Runner's coming VERY soon.
The video doesn’t mention the connection from the OBD2 scanner.
Trail Grid Pro's answered my question - here for anyone else that hits it. There is a similar grey/pink wire port than one of the two ODB2 connectors goes to. The second connector has red/yellow wires and this does not get connected to anything. Just leave free and unconnected.

We simply haven't gotten our hands on an adapter yet, but it's something we're working on!

It says it will fit 2012 4runner on alpine do you know if thats true? it is a very pricey read for sure.
The head units are universal to most vehicles, the only differences would be the wiring and modules necessary! We plan on expanding to more year ranges moving forward, so stay tuned!
